June 18, 20242 yr Ha! I am fully aware that Branson is in the name. The airport however is on the northwest side of Springfield. Branson, at 52 miles and an hour's drive away, may be "around the corner", but not "just" around the corner. In total agreement, this is unto itself a great rendition of KSGF. Excellent freeware. THAT is where the celebs / Mickey Gilley types fly into with their Gulfstreams I believe... But KSGF catches a lot of the "other" Branson traffic no doubt. I was about an hour of driving time up I-44 for almost three years at Ft Leonard Wood's Forney AAF in the early 1970's and in flying club exercises would fly into the then-KSGF. The celeb back then was Springfield sports anchor Ned Renolds! Several years later I travled the whole state of Missouri as a farm equipment manufacturer's rep. Never got south of Springfield as it was not farming country, But I certainly did get down south on Tablerock for bass fishing.
