Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi. Can anyone please contest to the quality of iniBuilds airports. They have a few large airports that I would like for sim collection but have reservations based on my experience with their airplanes. Thank you.

Anyone else experiencing long pauses in MSFS every 2:40 seconds? Hope they upgrade the servers eventually or fix this issue...

Hi yall, I have come back to MSFS after a lengthy pause (pre AAU) to find that some things seem to have changed with the CJ4. What used to be the Working Title mod is now integrated, but apparently with less features, and I just want to double check I'm not doing something wrong. I noticed that changing the VPA doesn't actually have an effect on the calculated advisory VNAV path. No matter what angle I set on the VNAV descent page in the FMC, the magenta diamond always references a 3 degree glidepath, even though I like to have it set steeper than that. I'd like to do more exploring and sight seeing with the Airbus H135 helicopter. Can you guys recommend some good spots that are helicopter friendly such as airports/downtown cities with parking spots specifically for helicopters.

When starting MSFS, an update occurred which also caused all my settings to be reset. I have managed to restore all previous settings except alerions and elevator. I have a Saitek yoke. When I go to the Control settings, everything seems to be set correctly. When I turn the yoke left and right the white line under alerions moves back and forth. Same is true of the elevator. When I push/pull the yoke, the white line under Elevator moves back and forth. My problem is that none of this works in the actual aircraft. I've tried both the DA62 and TBM930. Neither aircraft responds to my turning the yoke. The animations work but the aircraft does not move. Will so…

For some time now I have been experiencing the weirdest of things, occasionally, but several times throughout a flight and it only happens in the PMDG 738, I get a voice which says "good day to you" completely at random after clicking a button. It happens on different buttons and so is difficult to pin down. Is it a GSX thing, FScrew, which I haven't been using recently, I don't know. This has been happening for some time now, and frankly, is driving me crazy! I don't know if others are experiencing something similar, maybe it's a bug, I don't know. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Newbie to rotary wing. I have Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo nicely configured for GA fixed wing aircraft. I also have a (mostly unused) T.16000. Once in a while, I would like to hop in a copter and sightsee. It would be fun learning some of the basics. What would you suggest, controller-wise? Nothing that would break the bank since it would casual use only. Can I get by with the 16000? Thank you.

I don't know what I could have done wrong, I can change the departure time before the flight starts, but I cannot set a standard weather. The settings for standard weather are grayed out. Only live weather is possible, although the live tile at the bottom left is not selected. Also when flight is running, i can not set the weather. Only Live is possible. Thank you for a tip on how I can use standard weather again.

Hey guys! I’m curious, what do you all do to keep MSFS interesting and immersive? Do you use apps? What gives the sim purpose for you rather than just the same old load up, fly from point a - b and shut down? I’ve been struggling lately in finding a feeling of purpose to my flights. I’ve tried On Air, A Pilots Life, NeoFly, and Self Loading Cargo. They are good apps but after a while, they become repetitive and a long grind to progress, plus being locked into schedules without the freedom of doing whatever random leg you want gets old. Hello all. Been flying this beast for some 15 hrs. No issue at all. Works perfectly fine. Been flying out of LTFM several times ('working' for Turkish Airlines in 'A Pilots Life' atm) with no hiccups. Flew out to OERK last night (however that particular flight was with XP12 and not MSFS) and thought I'd do the return to LTFM with the 777 in MSFS. Thing is, though. I get a sim freeze that makes me have to force-quit the sim. Happens when setting up the flight plan. Wondering if you could do me a favour to see if this happens to you all as well. Hi All, I am having a consistent micro stutter on short final for the last couple of months that is ruining the enjoyment of nearly all my flights. I have spent over 100+ hours fiddling with the sim/settings and tweaks to try to solve the issue to no avail. The stutters occur on all four aircraft I primarily fly, which are the PMDG 737, Leonardo MD-80, Fenix A320 and the Inibuilds A300. Around 500 feet all the way to touch down I get these stutters which really ruins an otherwise beautiful flight with incredibly smooth performance. I can load an existing flight plan into aircraft which have a Garmin G1000 but cannot work out how to do that with the MCDU in an A320. I have tried loading via MSFS but it does not automatically populate the A320 MCDU. I remember years ago that with a B737 in FSX it could be done via the CO RTE (company route) but cannot remember how I did it and can't get one imported into the A320 MCDU. I have watched a youtube tutorial which uses SIMBRIDGE. Is that the only method to load the MCDU with an existing flight plan? Is there documentation and/or a youtube tutorial I have missed? Thanks

I have purchased the Top Rudder 103 Solo from the MSFS Marketplace but have found that that the aerodynamics cannot be edited because the ENGINES and the FLIGHT_MODEL folders have been removed. Is this common with Asobo products and does anyone know where the full product can be obtained?

The 777 is my favorite plane and I was extremely happy when PMDG finally released it. But when I loaded it up for the very 1st time and saw the cockpit, I was extremely dissappointed in how bad it looks. After flying the Fenix A320 and seeing how beautiful the cockpit is, I feel as though PMDG dropped the ball big time on this, and I really hope that if it's true what my eyes are telling me that they will go back and give it a good makeover to make it more inline with MSFS 2020 and soon to be 2024's graphic standards.

Well, Randazzo has been more specific on when the 737 Max will release, and he said that the 737 Max is "very well along" and would release during the 777 variant cycle, around the 8:06 mark of the recent Q&A video: So the PMDG 737 Max is very close. If the entire 777 variant cycle can be released this year, then I would think the PMDG 737 Max will probably also release this year (maybe worst case would be early next year?). In any case, it sounds like the 737 Max is almost complete, based on what Randazzo is saying. I guess iFly will need to step it up. HI, Of late I have a problem with many airports, no matter what runway I select for departure from the "World Map" it always places me at the same runway. This runway remains the same as long as I stay at that airport, but obviously will differ when I change airport. If I select a gate it's fine but not when I select a runway. Any ideas, please? EDIT:- I initially thought it was just at EIDW but it's at nearly every airport as far as I can see.

I have just bought EBBR from Aerosoft, as it has been on my wish list for ages. I am more than happy, a beautiful scenery, really immersive. However, there is one thing i would like to change, and that is the amount of servic evehicles that drive around airside. It looks like rush hour in London! The other thing is that some of them just drive through each other too, which really spoils the immersion. I have looked inside the EBBR folder and have seen several folders/files that relate to service vehicles, but I'm unsure whether disabling any of them would have an impact on other things too. Also, I'm not sure where to disbale an entire folder or whether just files, and if…

I fly the PMDG 737 and 777 almost exclusively. The 777 has pre-set viewpoints for the various panels that I can select using numbers 1-9. This works fine for me but the 737 (as far as I can tell) I set the viewpoints using ctrl-alt-num and then alt-num to bring it up. The alt-num is buggy and I’d like something else, like the 777 pre-sets. Thoughts?
