Scaring the locals...

I've got rex global airport textures, but this is payware EGNX. This happens at all the payware airports I have. It's like there is some blurry textures just in front of me that get better as the plane gets closer to them. This has had me flummoxed for about half an hour now... grr! When I switch to the wide angle cockpit view in the C172 G1000 standard variant, the view appears to be broken. It's somewhere in the roof of the cockpit which is somewhat suboptimal. Here's the view (images are clickable): And here's the correct wide angle cockpit view in any other variation of the aeroplane (eg skis, floats): I've tried resetting to default but it makes no difference. I've also tried copying across the cameras.cfg from one of the other variants but that also makes no difference. Anyone know how to fix this, please?

I've been out of simming for better than 4 years now, and this is my first post here in over 3 1/2 so be gentle please. When I stopped flying, I was running a stable and well set up Prepar3d v4 sim. That setup included RealityXP 430/530 and 650/750 GPS's which served me well and always, always featured the ability to click and get a large popup of the unit. For my return to the hobby, I decided to start with a clean slate and MSFS. After a bit of research, I decided on the TDS GTNxi units. Navigraph support! Yes! Obviously I don't fly at night nearly enough - currently in the BDSF and noticed how looking at the EFB, then straight outside it takes a while for your "electronic eyes" to adjust so you can see the horizon or a lot of the stars & lights, even more impressive was having it on night mode where you could instantly see more outside, but still not everything until you look away. I assume that's default MSFS rather than PMDG (?) Guess most people that fly at light know that already, quite impressed though - very well done effect. I'm off to turn down the rest of the cockpit lighting now !! G

I cannot iniciate MSFS because something related to XBox live is going wrong, the warning :"Cannot iniciate XBox live" appears and if I continue, it asks me to insert the MSFS disk. I hope is only an issue related to MSFS servers.

Recently the XBOX server went down but now is up and I can run MSFS. When I ran MSFS for the first time after the outage it displays a screen for 'accessibilities settings' and asked if I wanted to reset to default and I select NEXT (not YES) there was a male voice talking about accessibilities settings and a few more screens which I selected NEXT hoping that nothing would be changed but NO it then asked if I wanted to stream online or not (I selected online) and then came the crunch, all my assistance settings have been changed to EASY and so I will have to try and remember what settings I had unless someone can tell me if there is a .cfg file on my PC which contai…

I can't get it to start. It tells me to "Please insert the Microsoft Simulator Game Disk" and I have the store version which is downloaded. I researched the internet and someone suggested starting MSFS from the Xbox app which I tried and the same thing happened. What's the answer? Please don['t tell me I have to reinstall!

It took me 15 minutes to find 3 errors in community. I might have needed hours without this app. When you click the Add All button, then it flags all suspected errors and suggests possible reasons for the errors for each of them. So you know what to suspect and can go check them out.

This is really strange. I haven't flown the turbine Duke for a little while, but now when I start it up, I can't get the NG to rise above 18%. I'm doing a normal start, ignitions on, starter on, introduce fuel at 17.5%, but it never goes beyond 18%. Also, the fuel flow pegs at the far right of the gauge. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I re-installed the plane, and it does the same thing.

Hello all, I saw TAI Models released Cairo HECA for MSFS on Simmarket: https://secure.simmarket.com/taimodels-cairo-international-airport-heca_msfs.phtml I'm tempted as I really want an upgrade from the Asobo version, but my impression of TAI Models sceneries has not been the best and I didn't read the best of reviews for their Manchester scenery. So, before I get this I was wondering what other people's thoughts are? Would love to hear some opinions and reviews.

What are the pros and cons between the two and which one are you using?

There's a thread on the P3D forum about this, but it's worth mentioning here as it works quite well in MSFS as well: Nico, the PSXT developer, has released a new version of PSXT that will populate airfields around the world with static aircraft from your existing AI model library (e.g. AIG, FSLTL, and/or FS-Traffic). Is there anybody who can tell me what i have to edit to increase the max brightness of these instruments? The actual maximum "allowed" brightness of the garmin glass instruments (g1000/3000) for me is too dark under bright conditions. All airplanes with these instruments (C172, DA40, DA62, TBM...) are not really usable or fun to use this way, exept for arcade flying... I spent some hours with tryal and error, but was not able to find the relevant edits. (hope is last man standing...)
