Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I just purchased this great aircraft and learning how to set it up for a flight using a youtube tutorial. After entering weights from my (Simbrief) flight plan into the MCDU it then calculates and displays the TO CG and T/O TRIM. I then refer to the EFB which gets populated with the same weights COG% and take off trim. There is a 'button' named SET T.O. TRIM (the video tutorial has it displayed just as SET) which I click on and then according to the video tutorial, the trim is transferred to the center display unit. I see it briefly displayed and then it reduces to 0 (from 1.1). This doesn't happen in the video tutorial. Is there a bug or is this normal? …

When the servers went down a week or two ago, the connection difficulties most all had for about 24h, after they fixed this I was back to great performance, stutter-free. About 48h ago now this changed and what starts out fine by the time I'm taking off we go from an unlocked rate of 50fps down to 20-30 fps, and don't see main thread nor GPU nor VRAM being stressed at all. Near as I can recall no changes to the sim. This is with both PMDG 738 and FBW 320nx out of 3 different airports that typically don't drop frame rate significantly. And this is with FSLTL on or off, so that's not at play here. Anyone relate to this recently?

all of the sudden, my virtual cockpit has a default nav display in the upper left, engine indication in the lower left, and flap in the lower right.... how do i remove that? I thought it would be in assistance options but everything appears to be off. This is in the Fenix if that matters.

Since SU15, like many others, I have been experiencing the yoke stuck hard to the left and some instruments unclickable, once the flight has loaded. A simple restart of the flight, has previously worked, but for some reason, this no longer happens. The plane is now unflyable and no longer works. I have tried reinstalling the aircraft but this has made no difference. It appears as a known issue on the PMDG forum, but to date, no update has been released. I have also tried flying without FSUIPC, thinking this could be the culprit, and also removing all liveries apart from the default, sadly neither approach worked. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Maybe the answer is obvious, but if I choose to not use Hotel Mode, what is the appropriate time for engine start? If I do it at the stand, then IRL will the crew push back an aircraft with the engines running? Also, if I wait until the push has been done I've lost my GPU and along with it my PFD and ND until one of the engines start. Because of the above I've been either a) waiting until just before pushback to enter Hotel mode or b) starting both engines at the stand and reversing myself out of the spot, so that no push back is required. I am quite new to MSFS so my question. In live weather mode, if i move local time back by few hours, will i have weather that match time i have set, or only time will change but weather will be same as per actual local time?

The last time I started MSFS my virus checker (Malwarebytes) popped up displaying a message that MSFS was infected with some virus. Now when I try to start MSFS nothing happens for quite some time and then a message is displayed This app can't open and nothing else. I similar thing happened to me a year ago and I did something which caused MSFS to completely reinstall which takes hours and I lost all my personal settings and cockpit camera positions for 6 aircraft. Can anyone suggest anything I should now do or do I have to resort to an uninstall and new install.

No, not the Gerard Butler movie, but the actual White House in MSFS. Could someone help an old codger and help him find the White House. Now, I worked in Washington, DC fifty years ago, and I remember one could see the Washington Monument from the White House. The Monument is in the sim, the Capital, the Lincoln Memorial , the Smithsonian, the reflecting pool, the South Lawn are also, but NO White House. I downloaded the latest City Update (IX), but not even a PG rendering. Also strange, the helipad, KWHH isn't recognized in MSFS. The POI isn't present either. What did I do? I've disabled all scenery addons in CF. Any suggestions appreciated. TIA.. Terry

I can't get ATC audio to work either using offline or Azure mode. The volume settings are all pretty high. Has anyone else experienced this and do you know what the fix might be?

Going to fly from Copenhagen to Bangkok on Thai Airways TG951 (PMDG 777) for 10 and half hours. The route lies along Southern coast of the Black Sea, Middle East, Iran... So how to simulate it? I remember there is an option in PMDG 777 FMC to turn off GPS. Isn't it? I tried to do it once after 1 hour flight and turning GPS off gave me even better ANP 🤔 (0.06 vs 0.07). Yesterday I purchased the full PRO version of Flow Pro via OrbX After loading into the sim I noticed a bright multi coloured FLOW PRO logo top right of my window. Obnoxious and intrusive, and certainly an immersion killer. I spent several minutes looking for a way to disable this but failed so removed the software and went to support to request a refund. Am still awaiting a refund, but as the emails so far do not look hopeful I thought other Avsimmers might be interested in this situation and how it plays out. Hello, a problem: I am using CHProducts FlightSimYoke. In MSFS I have set: Axis Propeller 1 Axis Propeller 2 Problem is now: The levers only move between 100%OVRD and FTR. I cannot reach the cutoff. If I help with the mouse, the levers jump back to the FTR position. Thanks for a tip on what is wrong here.

Lately I’ve been trying to simplify/declutter everything - my office, my bookshelves (ugh!), closets, garage, etc. So today, frustrated by a few long pauses/hard stutters I decided to do the same thing to my MSFS installation after noticing how slickety smooth the sim seemed to run in an intentionally induced “safe mode”. I used my add on linker to blow away almost everything in my “Community” folder, then (carefully!) did the same to my “official” folder. Then, for an added bit of fun, I ramped up the screen resolution to 4K, just to see if my 3060 could handle it. I have been flying MSFS 2020 for almost 3 years. I was never concerned about data usage before, I had 1.2 TB from Comcast, and it seems that I was averaging around 300 GB per month. Near the end of June of this year, I get a message from Comcast ( Now Xfinity) saying that I was about to exceed my allowance for the month of June. Since it had appeared that I was using about 1/4 of that amount, I figured there must be a mistake. I contacted them, and they assured me that my usage was accurate.
