Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

How would a NON-MSFS and NON-Steam user who doesn't play games buy a Marketplace gift card for a flight simmer who has MSFS on Steam?

I am considering SIMFX but I only fly from within the cockpit and I think I will see too little of the effects to justify a buy (personal opinion). But I now read that the have also updated with weather presets? Doe anyone know what these are? I would say, if contrails are possible to simulate, why not cirrus clouds? Or something like that.

Im starting to experiment with my own setup as compared to using snippets in the past. I use the honeycomb yoke and throttle, fyi. I have a basic question on how spad works.... it does not actually complete the bindings within MSFS, correct? meaning, when I go to the controls menu, will all of the changes be reflected there? If this is the case, can I just wipe all bindings that exist in the MSFS controls menu? I have had some conflict issues that was unaware of so I figured if spad doesnt mess with the in-sim control menus at all, I can just delete all of them in MSFS. thanks!

Considering getting something to haul vast amounts of rubber dog****, at least until the 777f comes out. Excluding price wondering how the MD11 & A300F compare? Looking at my VA the 300 seems to be more used. Interested mostly in performance & complexity, but any opinion is useful. G

For those who fly the PMDG 737/777. Is it better to use the ground services from GSX or PMDG? I'm not sure if PMDG has GSX integration like the Fenix does.

Hello everyone, I have just bought the atr 72/42 and when I try to calibrate my throttle, my raw input values do not change no matter what I do. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I am a Mac user who looks forward to FS 2024 on a PC which I will build myself......my M1 Mac chip has the graphics onboard and it works but not great, even for 1080p. Are any of the newer AMD chips with onboard graphics delivering graphics card performance in the MSFS product?..looking forward to 2024 sim....

Anyone know what these buttons next to the clock do? They are marked: Nav, Display control and air data?

Let me reiterate: this question is all about the fidelity of the addon, and nothing about the IRL differences between the jets. I.e., I don't care about range / long haul, pax count, IRL operators, Big Iron/Heavy Jet, etc., etc. I have their 737 and am quite satisfied with it, but in terms of a heavy jet, their 747 is what I'm looking for. HOWEVER, If the 777 is big step forward in general airliner operations, my mind is open. Did PMDG substantially raise the bar with their 777, and if so, how...? Like, is it worth the extra coin if I already have the 737, or is it just a bigger Boeing?

Namely, in the last city update. At the end of the video he show the trees in Washington DC and says this is what trees will look like in 2024 because they were made with Lidar and not just with high quality aerial cameras like in 2020.

All, what's the best AI Traffic mods available now that the dust has settled and each option has been on the market for a while? I'm looking for something that will correct the live AI traffic models with what ATC is calling for. Also is there anything out there that updates GA traffic as well with updated models (GulfStreams, Learjets, Beach 400A, etc). Thanks in advance.🍺

contrails in FS9 persisted in the sky the traffic impacted the look of the sky there is no excuse they can't do that in MSFS performance ? just use a low res 2d sprite from far away we won't notice anything

After SU15, my Steam edition of MSFS wouldn't load a flight so I uninstalled and reinstalled it. Now I notice that bridge superstructures such as, in the UK, the Forth railway and road bridges and the Humber bridge are not now showing. All that is showing is the bridge deck and columns. I have maxed out the relevant scenery and object level of details to no affect. Any ideas? Thanks John Earl

I've read through 10 different past threads across AVSIM and other places about this issue, and I'm all out of ideas. Sometimes, quite frequently, if the Fenix A320 is stopped on the ground while taxiing, it refuses to move under its own power, only pushback works. Things I've tried / checked: Parking brake on/off Ground spoilers armed/disarmed Speedbrake on/off Autobrakes disarmed/max Slew mode to reposition aircraft on scenery Active pause Tap the toe brakes a bunch of times Unassign all "brake" related control inputs from control settings in MSFS Disconnect all controllers (Wingwing Ursa Minor & Thrustmaste…

There's definitely something going wrong with the refueling logic in the 77W 😕 If I try to use the Automated Ground Ops, the refueling of the amount I fill in the blank field never get's loaded by the visible fuel truck. Some say it is only partially filled (?) Some suggested the problems was not having the units in agreement between the EFB and the FMC, but even if they agree, LB og KG on both, the fueling doesn't work right, and I always have to use the FMC options to load the fuel and payload from my Simbrief flightplan... What's your experience - Ah! not using GSX here.

Hello all, On June 4th I had a catastrophic Motherboard failure (newly upgraded) which took out my CPU (newly upgraded) and my Drive C NVMe SSD 1TB (newly upgraded) Just yesterday I had all of that replaced and am now ready to plow ahead. After re installing windows11, anti virus etc I then managed to joyfully recover my MSFS. This however, was woefully short lived. My problem is now the dreaded black screen on launch. After downloading for install, I then proceed to click on "play" in Xbox following which I got the Introductory screen, syncing and launching. All seemed normal but after 14 seconds the screen went black and the computer appeared …
