Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I thought I'd forgotten how to configure the BAE146 for nav radios because I just wasn't picking anything up. So I diverted to KMSP and ILS worked fine. Wondering if KMCW is messed up on my end somehow or if it's a universal sim issue. The ILS is supposed to be 109.5 / 360. If anyone has time to test it at some point I'd appreciate it.

When 2020 launched, there was this xbox-subscription plan that you could do to get access to the base game for like 10 bucks a month or something (I think it was even less, and then you would also get access to other games as well). Is there something similar planned for 2024? And is there a common opinion on what version of the game is best suited for more serious simmers? Ladies and Gents, There are currently three Kitfox models available in the Marketplace, and I'd appreciate anyone's views and comparisons, please. The three models are by: 1) Project Stratosphere. 2) //42 3) BT Studio The Project Stratosphere one is currently on sale at a ludicrous £3.79 ( you can't even buy a pint for that ! ), and it has normal/bush tyre options too. With just over two weeks to go until 2024, all of a sudden I can't start MSFS at all. It gets to the main start up screen, the white circle starts to spin in the lower right and then it just freezes, eventually closing completely. It's never done this for me before but I can see that it has for others over the years. I've tried everything suggested, stopping and restarting a few key apps, clearing caches, renaming folders, deleting others. I'm thinking my MSFS session this morning might just be my last ever. I'm not going to reinstall MSFS and will just wait for MSFS2024 now. Shame though.

So I have been flightsimming for many years, but I only ever learned how to fly Boeing planes. With the the release of the A380 from FBW though I decided now might be a good time to start and need some help. I have tried the A320 a few times, just doing some prctice patterns around an airport and learning how to use the AP but that’s about the extent of my experience with Airbuses. I have the Thrustmaster Airbus throttles and I'm having difficulty assigning them to engines 3 & 4 on the A380. I've clicked on the 3 & 4 button and in windows calibration they are all working correctly, however when trying to assign in MSFS to throttle 3 and 4, it recognises them as X and Y and tries to override engines 1 and 2 (which are working perfectly). Can anyone help with this? Thanks

Anyone else seeing a "403 Forbidden" error when trying to access the Just Flight web site? It's strange, never had any issue at all with their site before. It's not something at my end, connectivity is fine, other sites are loading no problem.

Does FG ( Nvidia 4xxx cards ) work with DX11 ore only with DX12. Yesterday i tried with DX11 what i set back from DX12 and the Sim says restart. I did and saw DX11 was there but NVIDIA Framegen was greyed out.. An other Question: Does the FBW A320 work with DX12 ? cheers 😉

I have a 500Gb NVMe drive (C:) loaded with Steam MSFS 2020, that is almost full and a 1Tb SSD drive (D:) with just the rolling cache. I want to move the Steam MSFS 2020 from C : onto D : so I can use the faster NVMe drive C : for MSFS 2024. Do I need to uninstall/install MSFS 2020 ? Or can I just copy ? The original install took almost 24hrs ! I understand the the Community folder for all my add-ons (and sub folders) can just be copied (even to the new MSFS 2024) is this correct ? Is there anything else I will need to consider ? Thanks

For some reason when I come in on a stable approach at about 500'-1,000' the A380 will just pitch up steeply. So much so, I am unable to correct. I am not below stall speed either. Is there something am doing wrong or not doing that I should be? Thanks, Dave

Somehow, I am not able to synchronize the desired fuel profile with the ATR. I think I may have done something incorrect. So, how do we actually match the payload with the ATR? All I did was import from Simbrief and load instantly. Thank you

Heading control on autopilot panel does not respond to mouse clicks or hover/rotations. Is it possible to uninstall/ reinstall just one aircraft to "refresh" that installation? All the other controls on that panel work fine. Other aircraft with a Heading control work as well. It's just the Longitude's heading knob. Any ideas would be welcome. (Of course I have rebooted and restarted the PC and Sim several times) Thanks

Hi, I cannot install the latest version of SDK. It says I need a dll for the install to complete, and also asks to contact the vendor. I uninstalled version 18, and now I cannot install 18 as well. Solutions?

When I purchase and install MSFS 2024 later next month I'm looking for advice on how to proceed. I currently have MSFS 2020 (store) installed to a 1TB nvme. Since I don't want to run both, I would like to uninstall it and put MSFS 2024 on that same drive. Is it as simple as uninstalling through Windows? What other MSFS 2020 files should be removed before installing MSFS 2024?

Hi all, I asked PMDG how I could program failures such as 'Leading Edge Flaps Transit' or 'Anti Skid Inop'. They told me that Boeing only allow them to program certain failures and the above aren't included. Is there any way to at least simulate these failures? For example, force the Anti Skid Inop light to stay on? Thanks Jon

Do you please have an explanation why the default Few Clouds preset feels much darker and denser than on the first 3 years of msfs? It used to be a random light cloud here and there, the rest blue skies. But now it is light high altitude white clouds practically covering the whole sky, with lower placed random clouds. Why flying, it definitely does not feel like a sunny day.
