While looking over my hangar to get some sense of what my compatibility future with MSFS 2024 might look like, I found something interesting. Ironic really, because for all the talk of bugs and lack of systems depth more than half of my fleet is Carenado aircraft! Starting with the first add for the Market Place CT182 and onwards. How about the rest of you?

Hi folks, A slightly niche question possibly but does anyone know where I can get AI models for the RJ and 146 to be used as VATSIM model matches, as there are quite a few flying around on VATSIM now for obvious reasons 😁 Also there is the occasional Concorde flying around and I just get a default CRJ instead. I have FSLTL and FS Traffic but they don't have these models (perfectly understandably - these aircraft are not in service any more). Cheers all

Since 2024 is going to have stream of content to where almost everyone will be online when flying, I really hope Asobo thinks about creating a map to show whos flying and where. I mean Vatsim, PilotEdge, OnAir, SayIntentions are just some of the apps that do this for their user base. Even more so, include the ability to have filters and display only items like Pc or Xbox, list of planes being used and how many of them etc. Minus the Xplane users, this would be probably the most complete look at the hobbies true popularity and use.

Hi all, i'm using my CPFlight MCP EL since years with the PMDG 737. Now i've bought the iFly Max and the CPFlight software doesn't connect with the ifly. When i tried to open the HP of CPFlight my Kaspersky Antivirus deneid the opening for its an unsafe site. Firefox denied the entry also. Does somebody knows, if there is a new driver for the MAX? Or a way to contact the Dev via Email? Regards Joachim

I know, MSFS 2024 is on final. Hope you don't mind me asking this dead horse question :D. Just found out on Oct 29, Salty delivered an EFB update. I haven't touched the default 747 but some say it is now "perfectly flyable" since the last update. Do I still need to have the salty mod?

This may have been answered already but how will the licensing work for paid aircraft, weather, etc applications work when installing on 2024? Do you have to uninstall the 2020 version? Will you have to buy another license for 2024? I assume each developer will be different?

I use Steam for MSFS. For MSFS 2024, maybe not. I'm having second thoughts. Steam uses two-factor verification to authenticate users by sending a security code to the user's email. The user has to have access to his email to get the code. My Steam account was accessed without my knowledge and funds were withdrawn from the account. Steam tech support is apparently unwilling or unable to do anything about it. I'm posting here to see if anyone else had the same experience I recently had. Does anyone else have similar concerns as I now have regarding Steam?

Hello everyone, I have EDDM from world update XVIII and I use Little NavMap 3.0.12. In Little NavMap when I go to EDDM, I have a "huge" white zone, do you know how to make it disappear without deleting the airport? Thanks in advance. NB: again a big thank you to Alexandre Barhel 🤩

In the market for a new yoke. Those of you that use either of these, how is the compatibility and software usage with these two in MSFS? Any +'s or -'s someone in the market should be aware of when it comes to these yokes in the sim? The Flitesim looks very intriguing since it's less than half of the cost of a Brunner -- but, I've read (in MSFS's infancy) that there have been compatibility issues with the Brunner specifically. With MSFS 2024's ability to save configurations for specific aircraft, will that come in handy? Or is everything controlled externally (with FSUIPC or the hardware's own software)? Thanks, appreciate the info.

As per title, first on the FBW A380 on short final at OMDB a couple of days ago, and this morning again at VHHH just before taking off, both the PFC yoke and the pedals became inop (they were operating normally when I went through the preflight checklist). I checked first on the MSFS Controls page and could see that both were correctly identified by MSFS, and using the Sensitivities page, both moved as they should. I also checked my Windows 11 Settings, and again both devices were correctly connected and identified... but none of the two were moving my airplane controls anymore. I reloaded another aircraft, same results. After restarting MSFS I was greeted …

Just curious as to what are some of the "great" changes coming to MSFS 2024? I'd love to hear what some of you all have heard about the sim coming out in 4 days. I seriously hope there will be a REPLAY function so that I can see what my landings and maneuvers look like. I also hope that the force feedback I'm using now in MSFS, X-Force, is either improved our simply that the sim itself supports force feedback in its configuration. I also would appreciate better flyability for helicopters in 2024. I don't know if that is possible within the sim or if it's something that's vehicle specific. I expect the weather aspect of the sim will be v…

Hi , i did a flight EGLL-KJFK today in the B77W and everything was great besides the bright 31L Tarmac on KJFK in which i was not able to see the treshold making it difficult to judge. Great and amazing scenery with great performance. Is it a design fault or something else. ? UTC1630 live weather with ASFS Thanks Michael Moe

I’ve been away for a year and read elsewhere that there are no improvements expected to the ATC for 2024… is that correct? If so, I’m pretty shocked. The ATC in 2020 was horrible… essentially unusable for IFR. It had me flying into mountains or making sudden altitude changes on approach that were nonsense. But maybe they addressed this in the last year? Please tell me that’s the case 😊

In today's blog post announcing the sharklets for the Fenix A3xx series Amir revealed that they are not allowed to be part of the Dev Tech Alpha for 2024, really??? What gives? The Fenix aircraft is one of the best 3rd party aircraft around, some may argue, the best. I hope it that they will get access ASAP. Sometimes I do not get the decisions that are being made at MS/Asobo. Common. Quote from the post: "Unfortunately, we were not permitted access to the DevAlpha (though we did ask Microsoft), which means we still don't have an answer for you on compatibility and timelines for adjusting to this new platform."

Hi, I wanted to preorder MSFS 2024, but I just can't decide which version. I thought of Premium Deluxe or Avitor, both are 15% off. So 118 bucks vs. 186 bucks. I can deal with the lower number, but 186 bucks are really hard to diggest. Do you think it's worth. I vertainly interessted in the Antonov 225 and ATR 42-600 / 72-600. However, I almost exlusively fly payware high fidelity aircraft (Fenix and PMDG). So I am not sure if it's worth taking the Avitor edition. On the other hand I want to support Microsoft, so keep the sim alife and we don't risk something like FSX back than. How is the overall qualiy of the aircraft in the avitor edition?

I just updated to the newest Nvidia driver and now MSFS2020 automatically put my settings from DX11 to DX12 as well as other settings like TAA not being persistent now. I keep trying to turn it back and it says to restart the sim, so I do but it's right back to DX12. I looked for solutions. It says to untick the usercfg file "read only" and "hidden" but they were not checked anyway. Everyone said unchecking these would solve the problem, but they already are unchecked and the problem is still recurring. Any other solutions? Steam/PC/Non-VR Thanks, Andrew

When I log into the XBOX site and check out MSFS2024 I see it stated to be available on 19/11 but also see a box saying available in six days. What does this mean ? Which is it?

As I'm writing this, MSFS2024 is scheduled to release in 05days:03hrs:02mins:31secs. And I'm still tweaking MSFS2020 for the best performance and visuals 🤣 Richard @RJC68 shared this video with me today: In the video, they compare DLSS and TAA in terms of shimmering. And recommend doing a change in the usercfg.opt file* which allegedly will reduce DLSS shimmering, bringing it closer to TAA image quality. However, when I tried this, the sim performed horrendously, with FPS at least half of what I normally get. After one minute or so, the sim crashed with this message: Does anyone know what the advice in the video actually does? They re…

The Auster J1 Autocrat has been released on FS2. Thanks to Dave Garwood for allowing me to update this to fully native MSFS2020. The J1 comes in two variants: Original wheeled version w/ 110hp Blackburn Cirrus Major powerplant and 3 liveries, and a tundra tire variant w/ 160hp Lycoming O-320 and 7 liveries. Perhaps the final released aircraft for 2020? https://flightsim.to/file/84841/auster-j1-autocrat - flyndive

I havn't flown FS2020 much yet. I came from the prevoius version and figured out quite a bit about flying the Boeing 737 VFR and starting with IFR and using ATC. To my chagrin the 737 is not in FS2020 (why not???), and the (unwanted) autothrust (okay: unaccustomed to) has cost the lives of thousands of virtual passengers (I always manage to survive, somehow). Is there a tutorial for this? Why isn't there a training module for 737 "pilots" needing to learn how to convert to Airbus A320? I have two identical monitors, but spreading the cockpit view across both or part of both gives a black gap where the monitors' frams are against each other. I read I can pick up instr…

Hello Gang! With MSFS2024 5 days away, and considering Flightsim.to is our main source of freeware addons, has anyone heard how the site plans to divide or segregate 2020 and 2024 addons? Thanks
