Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

When I install MSFS 2024 on my computer on Tuesday, will I have to physically add my add on's (I've got a bunch of them) or will it maybe recognize the community folder on MSFS 2020. I don't want to uninstall 2020 yet till 2024 is working smoothly. Thanks guys!

The new career mode looks interesting, but I wonder how many will use it with MSFS 2024...

I prepaid for MSFS 2024. Just curious as to where I will be downloading it on the 19th. Will we receive an email with a download link, or do we have to manually go to a particular site to acquire the download? Should I just go to the Microsoft store? This will be MSFS for computer, not Xbox. Appreciate the info if you know.

Hi all... Is there some way to stop MSFS showing other pilots who are flying around me? I'm am never in a group yet there are aircraft (not AI craft I think) all over the place... Thanks, Rob

I imagine most will probably start ploughing through the Career mode. For me, I always have my default go-to airport which is Bembridge on the Isle of Wight (UK). It's a very small airport that is not really noteworthy except to those which fly it. I've spent many a holiday over there and love the island. I'm having a difficult time uninstalling these sims. It's psychological. I'm guessing it's the same how gamblers feel walking away after losing a big bet and after having invested a lot of time and fortune into the game. Mental issues eh? lol He's singing about the game. hehehe

Hi, everybody, I've pre-ordered (and paid by VISA) MS2024 this morning. Everything seems to be fine, but there are two things I don't know if are correct: First, a Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 icon has been created on the Windows desktop, but it's blank (and clicking on it with the mouse does nothing). Second: Microsoft Store hasn't e-mailed me with the confirmation of the purchase (unlike five years ago, when I immediately received an email confirming my MSFS 2020 purchase). However, on MStore and XBox, everything seems to be alright, and MS2024 is listed as ready for download. Any clue? Regards

The price for the full version of the RJ on the MSFS market place is about €77. The Just Flight shop is selling it at €65 which is actually cheaper than the MS Store is asking for the upgrade "bundle" (€69). "offensive initials not allowed"* are they doing? I have never used ATC, but today, I stumbled upon this video. At time 17:00 did I hear correctly, taxi via haitch de de1 instead of HOTEL, DELTA, DELTA1? Is this fixed?

Just loaded the update and now the panel wont load. panel just resembles a pixelated blur. How do I fix this?

I have today downloaded and updated my PMDG 777 to the latest version. I then uploaded Navigraph via the EFB. I have tried setting up two different flights (EIDW/LIRF) and (EGKK/LEPA) using Simbrief as my flight planning tool I select and load the flight plan into the MCDU. Then I go to the Dep/Arr page. I am able to select the departure runway and SID, but not the arrival runway and STAR. It just not give me any options for planning my arrival. Not something I have experienced before. Any thoughts, suggestions etc would be appreciated.

On my previous system, I had the XBox app installed, although I bought MSFS via the Store.. On my new system, I do not have this app installed, and can fly MSFS 2020 just fine without it.. I have also pre-ordered MSFS 2024, and it appears ready to Open/Play in the Store. Is there ever a requirement for me to install the XBox app?

For myself and many others, MSFS2020 is entering retirement. We've moaned at it at times, but overall it has been a fantastic four years. With 2024 soon to be released, I will not forget the pleasure it has given me. 2020 still looks fantastic, being helped with addons. I have just landed one of my last flights, using the fantastic RJ series from Just flight. Approaching the north coast of Spain on a flight from London City to Lisbon. Weather is from XEnviro 2020 which remains my favourite weather addon. Three cheers for 2020!

So do I need to install everything or just the main version and in what order? Already confused here... Thanks!
