I set a default aircraft on a runway in World Map and press FLY. When the sim finishes loading I am in the cockpit accelerating down the runway at full throttle. My Bravo Throttle is full back, the mixture is a 0, and the prop is full back yet the plane accelerates rapidly BEFORE I can press READY TO FLY. If the plane is a tail dragger it immediately noses over into a prop strike. This just started happening recently but does now happen everytime I start the sim. Any idea what parameter I have set incorrectly?

Hi All! I have a bit of a weird problem. MSFS works fine under NVIDIA driver 31.0.15.5244 that is from 07/05/2024 using my RTX 4090 but whenever i try to update the driver it stops MSFS from starting. I then have to roll back to this driver again to make it boot up. Basically i go to start MSFS from Steam as normal and it says starting in steam but the EXE never starts. Any ideas? Thanks Matt

Hi. I am founder of Live traffic modificationg discord group. We allready did some great job there "how to convert livery textures to 2K in mass edit patch". And we did help dev of AIground and AIflow there also. Now it its time for my 3rd project: injected GA traffic. I have selected to use ELT (https://flightsim.to/file/17289/enhanced-live-traffic) to inject GA traffic to the sim. It has great potential and dev knows what i am doing with it. Basic goal is: a) ELT injecting GA traffic to the skies b) FSLTL injecting airliners to the skies and the airports ELT has some bugs: - in ground, aircraft is moving stuttering (10m every 5sec), but in app yo…

I have just completed an early morning flight from BIAR Akureyri to BIKF Keflavik in the PMDG 737-600. Whilst most of the terrain looked fine, I noticed some issues whilst flying over a large ice covered area that is located about 50-100 miles northeast of Reykjavik..... visible joint lines between photoscenery and a more generic white snow texture polygonal areas of obvious default scenery tile popping issues in front of me (like generic default snow textures were being drawn over photoscenery) https://www.mediafire.com/view/o7vzxxcdj1n8ug5/Iceland1.jpg/file I guess that this is another example of inconsistent terrain image quality in more …

What I mean to say, is that we're running out of runway in October! I seem to recall that the PMDG B777F was expected to drop mid-October. We're now in the final week of the month. Assuming October is still the release month and typically PMDG releases on a Tuesday, would that mean tomorrow is the day we get a new freighter? Yeah...this is a total speculation thread teaser... 😊 ...I hope people don't get bent out of shape with this post! 😊

Captains, What is This?: Yesterday we pushed a major change to the 737 fleet that moved the airplane from an outmoded navdata format to Navigraph's modern navdata format. We have been tracking reports from a number of users indicating that they see one or more of the following three issues: One/Both tablets has a black screen. One/Both tablets has a black screen with a spinning PMDG logo. Navdata ceases downloading at 75% or thereabouts and never continues. Items 1 & 2 above have been resolved in an internal build. We are testing that change and will send it to you in a micro ASAP. Item 3 is a bit more sticky. IMPORTANT: This …

It is my understanding that when exception condition messages appear in the ECAM, it should be possible to lookup the message in the QRH to determine action(s) to be taken to either resolve the issue or implement a workaround. When I attempt to do this, i.e., do a search in the QRH PDF, I never get a hit. For example, yesterday I received the message RAT OUT in amber font but did not get a hit when I searched for it so the broader question is what's the approach for resolving ECAM messages if the message is not found in the QRH ? The other question is how to turn-off failures ? When I received the above message, in CONFIG for FAILURE TYPE > NONE/Minor/All, NONE…

I apologize as this has probably been brought up previously but are the number of Center Controller handoffs in (insert any ATC program here) realistic? Maybe it is, but it just seems excessive. Thanks, Dave

Hi all I have a toggle switch which I have assigned in msfs2020 to toggle electric fuel pump. The issue is when I flick the switch up and down it moves the on screen switch to the up postion and to turn it off I have to move the switch twice to turn it off. I'm trying to get it so I move the switch up it turns on and when I move the switch down it turns it off. Cheers Rhys

So far, I’m very happy with the Seneca V and the Soundstudios sound pack. But, after landing and shutting down the engine, it is very slow to go to the main screen. Then, after finally getting to the main screen, the QUIT SIM never shows up. I have to continually press ALT F4 to finally quit the sim. Hoping someone else has this option and found a way to close MSFS quickly and properly.

Old news but for those still flying the old default g1000 or steam gauge Cessnas. YT video from about a month ago. This is the steam gauge version...

Hi all, Tried the Discord, made a ticket. No help. Hoping someone here has the same problem. Tested to nauseating. All combination. Basically, the minute FsHud starts to compute something, MSFS freezes during that interval. Could last 2 seconds 5 seconds 15 seconds. Meanwhile MSFS frozen but is still flying. Any ideas would be a great help. It used to work perfectly until 2 to 3 weeks ago.

I recently recieved my Winwing FCU and I would like to create profiles for different airplanes. I found some profiles on flightsim.to but I want to create my own for those who are not published (such as DA62). Anyone knows how to create them?

Hi All, Just recently purchased a new computer and was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to continue my career on a Pilots life or if I have to start again? I tried reactivating my old purchase through simmarket without any luck( I don’t mind paying for the add on again if needed as it’s pretty low cost) but I’m wondering if I do purchase the add on again, can I log into my old account? Any help would be appreciated! I love this add on but the documentation around this seems to be all but non-existent so just wondering if anyone has any first hand experience they can share. Thanks!

I dont know if you could share my thoughts. When i fly with BEyondAtc, FSLTL, FSHUD… I find that the airports are lifeless when arriving at them. This doesn't happen when I'm going to take off. but when I get to them on final approach, there are no planes doing Taxing or Holding short etc. it is as if the machine didnt work to inject life on airports. So sky is good, but nothing down there. even arriving at JFK, or LFPG… no condensed traffic, no rows or pushing back. all that is only when taxing to runway and beggining my flight, never when arriving.

As the title suggests, is this annoying behavior still a thing in MSFS2024 ?

Hi All, Has anyone managed to assign one of the levers on the throttle quadrant to work the speedbrake? If so what settings do you use? It would be great if I could configure it so that when it's in the up position the speedbrake is stowed and when it's fully down the speedbrake is in flight detent. Is this possible? I'm using the PMDG 737. TIA Jon

In my opinion, the quality of a simulated aircraft is the performance of LNAV and VNAV (especially VNAV) as this requires complex maths to meet all altitude and speed restrictions. Watching this video says it all. The FMC, autopilot and autothrust nailed it (including the DME arc) throughout the entire approach! I have absolutely no affiliation with PMDG but the updated 737 is in my opinion a masterpiece.

Curious question regarding MSFS 20204... As someone that flies exclusively in the Fenix / other tubeliners, what is the benefit for making the switch to 2024? I've read some of the features and to me it appears that 2024 is geared more toward GA type flyers (I could be wrong). Graphically, i don't see a terribly huge difference so am I missing something? I have 3rd party airports that i understand can be ported over to 2024. My planes apparently can be ported over apparently. So if I do all of that, what are the benefits over 2020? I know this is a wait and see type scenario, but I don't really see the difference. Can someone shed some light? Thanks!

Should there be 10 different models in the menu? I suspect I have an Issue because I have "ATR 42-600 Highliner 02", "ATR 42-600 Highliner 03", "ATR 72-600 Highliner 02" and "ATR 72-600 Highliner 03". What are these 02 and 03 versions? They seem no different from the normal "Highliner" models. Here's a screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/hl2iE6g

Hi, i was in Drone view in Inibuild KJFK and noticed my GTX1080TI was changing from 42% to 100% in GPU load making the scenery stutter and with a simple click on Zoom out the FPS and stutter went back to 42% and vice versa. Check your zoom level and see if its set to high . I use a Xbox controller and have bind 2 buttons to this. Will see if there is benefits in VC also Michael Moe

Questions for our Avsim pros with real-world PT6 experience based on the following: In the sim most of the PT6 turboprops I fly have very linear torque curves from where they start to develop significant torque (from 60-80% Ng) with a linear development all the way to the Ng limit. This includes all the stock turboprops, the M500, the SWS PC-12 and Kodiak, and the Black Square 208 and King Air. I'm pretty sure the v1.1 TBM-850 was also this way. The Black Square Turbine Duke and the v1.2 TBM-850 however have torque curves that are relatively flat, then essentially go exponential at the high end of Ng. I am sure there is some variation expected in a family of eng…

I installed MSFS on a new computer, and used the content folder from a previous install. It all looks great and works, except for two things: the radios/avionics in all my planes are dark, and when I exit the sim, it hangs. Really weird... I would really hate to have to download all my content, since it all seems to be just fine.. except.. Has anyone run into something similar?
