Along the weeks, since June ‘19, two recurring issues came up in our discussions around the updates : mesh as it seems good on some places not so much in other places and double shadows due the baked in ones in most of the sat imagery. I have not seen preview vids commenting on these two issues. But so many of them, can’t see them all. Any thought ?

The number of videos posted online is astonishing, but I still have some questions I can't find answers to: 1) On one of the videos I could see that in the menu you create your own profile with an avatar and you have a logbook with all your flights. Great, but is it possible to add more profiles? I don't want my son to mess up with my logbook when he flies. 2) How is the pushback managed? I still think that "Better pushback" addon for X-Plane is fatnastic. How do you plan your pushback in MSFS? The direction the pushback truck will turn your plane, the distance, etc.? 3) I still don't know how big, busy airports work in connection with real world traffic. I…

Where in the world is the loading screen with the Cessna 172 taken? It looks like a place that could be fun to fly? https://youtu.be/xCNg1u5ceFM?t=166

  4. As we have already seen many beautiful shots of the weather and effects on the plane like icing, i would be really intersted to see some high altitude scenes with the a320/747 drawing some nice contrails in the sky. Would be awsome to see a crowded sky with airliner air to air's in the next ifr episode. Really cant wait for the new sim anymore 😃

  5. Hello, For years and years i am missing the option to simulate the soundscape as it is when you wear a headset in the cockpit. Simple as that. It always sounds like you sit directly attached to the engine and all other sounds are just mixed under it. I think this would be great! 🙂

  6. Anyone know if the logitech panels (previously Saitek) work within MSFS (multipanel, radio panel etc)?

  7. Started by hangar,

Since it seems that YT'ers are allowed to now make and post videos of the new sim, I thought maybe we could start a new topic that would allow us to post requests (for the YT'ers paying attention here) for certain locals or airports that each of us might like to see. I will start the ball rolling by asking if any of you are from my area (Long Island, NY) could you please post a video of KFRG (Farmingdale Republic). It would be great to see how the taxiways are laid out and look as well as as a short approach to rwy19 🙂

All welcome, let's build something amazing! Live-streamed Air Races. The greatest flight simulator ever built is about to be unveiled, never before has it been so easy to connect and fly with others from all over the World. Air Racing is about to get a new lease of life!! The aim is to build teams from all corners of the globe and test each other's metal. And maybe, just maybe we could convince MS and Osobo to build us some air racing circuits around this amazing World? https://www.facebook.com/groups/304797850637870

Right now with a combination of ORBX TE or freeware photo sceneries, payware AG add-ons & Lighting + payware airports and with weather enhancements provided by REX SkyForce, ASP2, and PTA, P3D v4.5 is as good as it gets for regional GA flight simulation! I also have some exceptional GA but any airplane will do. Right now P3D v4.5 as good as it gets! However, I'm very excited about the worldwide coverage, visual & weather enhancements that FS2020 will bring to all of us in about 2 weeks. Knowing that I can pic any region in the world and just explore, it's a great feeling that I can't wait to experience. What about you? Jose

What I have seen from the videos on YouTube is that weather Presets can be set and tweaked and live weather can be downloaded. With live weather, it seems that changes are abrupt and not fluid, but correct me if I am wrong. What I wonder is whether changes dynamically over time. For instance, if you start sunny with clear skies, could it changes to overcast or even rain (eg when entering mountainous area). In addition, does snow accumulate?

  12. For my current XP11 setup I run a second PC with touch screen and AirManager for instruments and love it. AirManager is nice but its panels and instruments are limited. Now aircrafts in MSFS seem to have many nice glass instruments already built in, it would be nice to run a dedicated virtual cockpit and instruments on the touch screen. I actually used to do this on FSX/P3D but doing so tanks the fps quite a bit. The new MSFS will likely suffer the same problem as it already appears very demanding on the hardware. So it could be a good solution running a separate copy of MSFS on a networked PC that is dedicated to virtual cockpit and instruments. An old PC could be j…

  13. Hello everyone, I'm pretty sure this has been discussed somewhere before but i just read an article on a germen gamingsite about MSFS benchmarks with different System specs. And what i did read there left me a bit disappointed and anxious. It was stated the benchmark using pretty much the same Hardware as i do (i9-9900K, RTX2080ti etc.) gave a result of 68FPS average on medium details flying over countryside with a low of 25 FPS. Flying over New York 52FPS vs. 19FPS. Actually i don't know what to think know. I was planning to buy the new sim right at release but taking these results into account, i'll pretty sure wait a bit and see what the reviews say…

  14. Please could somebody with access to the beta let me know if you can download and save the scenery for specific regions, so you don’t have to stream it during a flight? My internet is terrible (6mbps download speed), and I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to take advantage of the high res scenery by streaming in real time, especially when connected to Vatsim.

  16. Hey guys, I login to my windows using my work (office 365) account, infact all my systems are set that way. Just by doing that I get none of the garbage game apps that Windows 10 Pro users get when installing with normal Microsoft Account. 100% have issues with windows store. I did buy a preorder for premium using MS Account (but not o365 account) but store is logged in as o365 account. It has having a hard time connected to personal account. WTH MS!!!! So my gut says go with Steam. What do you all think? especially the beta testers In fall HP Reverb 2 will be out which I may buy? I guess with that headset Steam is the only option. Cur…

  17. Noticed basic GPS and G1000 type GPS devices built into stock sim. For stock versions they appear to be OK. No idea how well simulated they are though. I'm wondering if RealityXP and Flight1 will be able to port their GTN 657 750 etc devices into the new sim.

  22. For those of us who fly on VATSIM, this is an important thing to get right. Do default airports have at least accurately-named taxiways and taxiway signs? Are they based off of the AFD? I know FSX had accurately named taxiways, so I’d really hope MSFS does as well.

  23. Hi all, can anyone let me know, with winks or what ever, can I setup all my buttons for a Cessna, then jump into a jet and be able to save a separate mapping profile for that?
