Interesting - Mike's opinion is that the MS specs for FS2020 are for older PCs, not for a PC that one would build today using this generation's hardware. Although this is just one man's personal opinion, keep in mind that he is somewhat of a guru in benchmarking flight sims and building flight sim PCs.

Ive been simming on and off for about 20 years. Personally, I love the heavy metal and deep simulations from devs like PMDG. However, because of MSFS, I suspect I will be spending a lot of time with GA farting about looking at all the sights at sub 100 kts. Hi all, Since the sim is still under NDA and we saw very limited footage, i did not saw any footage of aircraft lights effects on clouds/rain, especially at night and low light. anyone got see some videos or photos that shed a light 🙂 on this ?

I bought a new PC and have to pay 120$ for the simulator. I don't want to spend any more money If the A320, 747 and 787 reach Aerosoft quality it would be perfect for me. I refuse to pay 200$ for PMDG airliners.

Hi MS posted new features in the Beta and they want us to fly with a 748 into Innsbruck. Is that even legal / is the 74 certified to land in LOWI? I am unsure about that.

I just watched a youtube video from Canard PC (french video game media). They attended the Global Preview Event and they asked the devs about TrackIR support, they said no (like VR). We all know VR will probably be available later, but TrackIR is much cheaper than VR which means even with an old-medium configuration and 100€ you can enjoy a very immersive experience. Please Asobo and Microsoft, make TrackIR work if not at release, shortly after. Thank you

I think that MSFS will be a huge hit. The online reaction leads me to believe that MSFS will expand the PC consumer base for flight sims. With that said, my “only” concern is that MSFS servers can’t handle the initial download / streaming demand. Some have commented on how the Pre-Order has no incentive for the consumer, but perhaps its one gauge of how many customers will hit MSFS servers come Aug 18. I am sure that MSFS has taken all of this into account, and while I don’t fully understand how their pricing supports the data streaming obligation (I was expecting a subscription based model), I hope that the servers can support the initial download / streaming d…

Hi I'm currently a user of XP11 in VR with P2ATC using voice control as I find this the most immersive way to use the sim. I know that it won't launch with VR but does anyone know if a vague timescale for VR has been mentioned? I'll buy MSFS2020 when it does, I couldn't go back to pancake, no matter how pretty. Also does anyone know if the ATC will have voice reconition? Again, having enjoyed this I'd find going back to pushing buttons for ATC would really break the immersion for me. I know there will be VATSIM support, but that doesn't really interest me. Thanks, Paul

On the pre-order page it looks like there are upgrade options offered in case you want to move from standard to deluxe or premium at a later time. I can't seem to find a price on those upgrade options. Anybody know?

Hello, I was acutally hoping we were able to download the full simulator (all the 100GB's or so??) before the releasedate of 18-AUG. My internetconnection is fine (over 30MB/SEC) so thats not a problem. What will be a problem (I think) is the server capacity of Microsoft. When everybody wants to download the simulator on the 18th of august it will result in a meltdown or so 🤯😈😮. Yeah Yeah, I know that we are talking about Microsoft. The server capacity they have must be huge. But history tells us that when a game is released, the capacity they think is enough, is never enough 😁. My plan was to whipe out my harddrive on 16-AUG. Install everything I need…

I appreciate there is only certain information available at the moment regarding ATC. Looking at some of the released videos, the ATC seems to work by clicking a ATC menu list on the screen. Does anyone know if the response from the pilot (us) can be via voice recognition i.e. talking into a microphone ?

I know people are being sensitive about "over-hyping" MSFS2020, but honestly, I log in to either of my sims (xplane 11 or p3d), and just sit there. I might do a short circuit, and then log out again in frustration. The sims themselves are superb, of course, and I have enjoyed them to bits, but right now I end up watching replays of the new sim on my TV and find that ultimately more enjoyable than flying in my old sims. Anyone else feel this way?

Will I receive advertisings about vacation trips to that regions? Will anybody be curious about where I like to fly? I don't care about my virtual trips being observed. Does any of you? Karl

I’m just wondering if a2a will be utilising all the new aspects of mfs2020? The default aircraft are supposed to have very realistic flight models with the 1000 point surface calculation etc, what will accusim v4 bring beyond this? It made sense in P3d as there were so many things to improve on. It seems strange to me that they will be tweaking sounds, flight behaviours, systems, when they should already be as good as can be in that regard. im hoping to not have to rely on addon aircraft because, once I’ve tasted somthing better, I can’t fly the default ones anymore and it limits me to only a couple of the best addons. Hi All I'm new here, recently bought FS2020 as my first commercial flight sim in a decade (had FSX on disc) Does anyone know if there will be the lights telling pilots when to stop. I think it;s the stand guidance system or AGNIS VDGS (link below). I know that the NDA would prevent people from answering this question, but I wonder if MSFS provides a way to customize the runway markings. Specifically, in Canada most runway markings are not solid paint, but rather parallel stripes. Also the center lines are thicker that what I see in the official videos. Slew Mode was one of my favorite features from past sims. Has anyone seen this or heard of this feature making it in the new MSFS? Thanks!
