As I mainly fly in Europe I intend to purchase the Premium version as it includes : Amsterdam Schiphol , Paris Charles de Gaulle, Frankfurt , London Heathrow and Madrid. Just out of curiosity: how do these airports compare to the same airports as Addons for P3D or XP ? Anyone knows ?

I've seen all the great videos showing the progress of FS2020's development. Yes, I was swept away! Now the product is coming out, but I don't understand one aspect- global scenery. How does MS expect to load all that VFR photo realistic quality scenery into the sim? We would need a mainframe computer for that! Is it done by streaming? Separate scenery packages to purchase? Am I missing something here? Eytan Ornstein

I cannot think of the exact wording but in FSX my mate and I could be in the same aircraft (B737) left and right seats and fly the aircraft together as in real World. Does anyone know if that feature is going to be in MSFS2020 ? Really looking forward to trying it out on or soon after 18th August but this feature was great in FSX and would make the new FS just brilliant.

Hi guys, So, super excited about the launch of MSFS next month, and have pre ordered the Premium edition! Was a little surprised by the seemingly huge disk space requirement that it lists in the minimum spec - 150GB! I've done some cleaning up of my SSD and by the deletion of my old FSX install and quite a lot of other unnecessary software accumulated over the years I've got it to 152GB free... I know everyone who's been part of the process is still under NDAs and stuff so obviously don't get yourself in trouble but I wondered if anyone knew if that listed 150GB is actually how big it is or if in reality it works out a little less than that? Or would i…

With Flight Simulator 2020 set for release on the 18th of August, there remains some confusion over exactly what the sim will be offering. Specifically, what's the deal with the number of available airports? Also this week - Microsoft detail how the in-game Market-Place will work, the beta update

At this point leaks are becoming inevitable, because the leakers don't have much to lose. Their alpha access will become meaningless once the game is out, which will be in just one month from now. It's almost like Microsoft and Asobo don't want to us to see more than a few carefully curated images and clips that don't necessarily convey how MSFS really looks and performs.

A link to a couple videos on bilibili.com. Post and videos taken down very quick. I skipped through the videos while I was at work. A320 at cruise altitude and the user changing time and weather on the fly (lol) with no lag. Other video was of a TBM 930 a few thousand feet high and eventually landing. Hopefully someone downloaded them?

While I have no inside knowledge, I predict that some of the Wish List features often requested for the new sim will indeed be available on Day One -- from the in-game Marketplace. Perhaps it's VR or helicopters or TrackIR or full multi-monitor support. Perhaps these extra features won't be included in the base sim but can be purchased immediately from the Marketplace. From a business point of view, this would certainly make more sense than including these extras in the base sim for free.

I only use and love the Microsoft FF2 joystick in my flight sims, and have for many years. I'm currently using it very successfully in P3d. HOPEFULLY, Microsoft FS2020 will have provision for this wonderful joystick. After all, it is their joystick. Additionally, it would be absolutely appropriate and welcome that Microsoft introduce a brand new 2020 version of this stick. It will sell phenomenally well....of this I'm sure. Anyone know anything about this? Stan

The title should be self explanatory 🙂. I will do an around the world tour in the TBM 930! Starting from my home airport LKTB, going east and returning back from the west 🙂.

Already pre-ordered the premium delux edition of MSFS 2020. If the simulator lives to expectations, worth every dime. Just think for a second, a PMDG plane costs you $135 dollars, and that’s all you get...a plane. You pay $119 For MSFS and you get the world. If the planes are just as good, no need waste money with this third party software. I can afford the PMDGs, but out of principle I refuse to pay the cost. MSFS is revolutionary and everything about flight simulation will be different. Some may not survive it. Good luck to all those who sold me useless and destructive add-ons.

As I preordered my copy of MS FS2020, I was reminded of why I disliked MS Flight. During the preorder process, the ordering window threw up an error condition, complaining that I did not have a device linked to my account. No way forward from there, the only way out was to cancel. As it turns out, the order was accepted regardless.. heaven only knows what hoops I will have to jump through when the product becomes available in August. I did go to my account settings afterwards, but attempting to link my PC, would require me to change my PC settings, which I am not prepared to do. So I thought that I would provide some feedback to MS, but not only d…

I read about FS2020 lacking support for multiple monitors and it confused me a little bit. On XP11 I run three monitors: the left one gives me a field of vision from -90 to -30 degrees, the central one from -30 to 30 degrees and the right one from 30 to 90 degrees. I am used to that and it is perfect for me. I have the hardware controls (Logi) and two tablets running my instruments (Air Manager). Other than Air Manager, which is outside the scope here, will I be able to run the same setup in FS2020? Thanks!

As a « bandwidth challenged » user, I’d appreciate to know if the following procedure is OK : - Downloading the entire 90 GB sim onto a SSD plugged in the computer of a third party (a son) having a fast internet without installing it on this computer - the 3rd party would then ship me the SSD for an installation on my computer. Or is the sim tied/fingerprinted to the computer of download making it impossible ?

Hey captains, Aerosoft is the official reseller for the MS Simulator boxed version which looks pretty good and could help on unstable internet connection, I am looking to pre order that, although my internet connection is on paper 100mb but in reality is unstable, one day full speed and one day like half of its speed or worse with disconnection, what your guys thought on the boxed version from Aerosoft? Here is the boxed version link: https://www.aerosoft.com/de/flugsimulation/flug-atc-simulatoren/3043/microsoft-flight-simulator-premium-deluxe

I’m just as excited as you all and in the queue to pay for the premium deluxe, but since this announcement caught us all off-guard, I can’t help but have a few concerning questions looming in my mind. Why is Microsoft rushing the release and running Beta for only two weeks? Seems counterproductive when they’re running Alpha for months and then having the Beta for less than half a month. What’s the point of pre-ordering when you aren’t getting any perks? Will the price be different after August 18? Why were many aircraft from the list not available to the Alpha users. The 787 for instance. I love that it’s included as a base aircraft, but what is its q…
