until now they only show a few gameplay cut videos and trailers but I not sure how can people spend 60 to 130 $ in a sim that they didn't release yet any full gameplay video I think they could release 1 video of 30 minutes doing a VFR flight and another video of 30 minutes doing an IFR flight with an airliner I think should be a minimum to show the customer what they bought cause I m on the alpha and even the final version will be a big update from alpha I already have an idea what I gonna get, but with an NDA and a few cut video if I wasn't on the alpha it will difficult to decide to preorder without any information on what is it in and a decent length video showing all …

Although I'm making progress on learning FMS navigation (and I'm kind of embarrassed that I haven't learned it after all the years in this hobby), I would STILL like to know if all of the Default planes in MFS 2020 will be equipped with a DEFAULT GPS, as Microsoft did in the past? Stan

Just wondering how accurate are the airports included in FS2020 compared to the payware like FSDreamTeam, Flightbeam etc. that we currently use in P3D. Comments by beta testers much appreciated.

Editor at The Verge has received some equipment, and says to look out for a preview on The Verge soon. Definitely a lot happening behind the scenes, and maybe indicative of the timeline of the release not necessarily being as scrambled as some people may suggest.

It was revealed yesterday that Microsoft Flight Simulator is coming to PC (including Xbox Game Pass for PC) on August 14th, but nothing was mentioned about a release date for the console version/s. But don't worry - the game has already been confirmed as coming to Xbox One, and according to a recent interview with Xbox boss Phil Spencer, it looks like it's heading to Xbox Series X as well. Speaking during the recent Gamelab Live 2020 keynote fireside, Spencer revealed that Flight Sim is one of the games he's particularly looking forward to playing on the next-gen system: "I will say a game that just every time I see it is so stunning, is Microsoft Flight…

Its nice that it soon will be released... One wish I had came true...the 787 Dreamliner is included!... But on the other hand for the life of me I don't get why on earth the 737 is not part of the fleet!?...such a popular aircraft that was included by default in all previous versions...why not in this one?... no partnership?...I mean it is Boeing right?...and the 747 is also included and is also Boeing...so why not the 737? Not Cool Microsoft

In this thread we were discussing the visuals, how does a $60 MSFS compare to XP11 or P3D with multiple hundreds of $ addon scenery? A question I raised besides the scenery is ... how does it fly? If it looks good but flies like a toy we could as well fly the free Google Earth 'flight sim'. I'll be buying MSFS anyhow, but if I only then find out it flies like #%@¥ I will be disappointed. Not much has been heard about the flying behavior yet, and as longs as the NDA still is here we won't be hearing more. I've seen a couple of plane movements in some of the videos that looked a bit unnatural and made me wonder. I'm going to wait for the new nVidia 3000 series any…

Like many others here, I've been using FSX/P3D or almost a decade and a half, to say nothing of previous versions of the old sim. While this new one will bring us all sorts of new goodies, it's a little sad to say goodbye to this old friend that has been with us for so long.

Is this a rip off or what!!! If you order the Deluxe from the US Store, this price is 89.99 Dollars which is 78 Euros at the time of writing but on the European store, I had to pay the price of 89.99 EUROS!!! I'm already feeling scammed.

https://fselite.net/news/uk2000-scenery-says-microsoft-flight-simulator-sdk-is-not-complete/ Scenery developed UK2000 Scenery has taken to Facebook to share some insight about their current development progress for the all-new Microsoft Flight Simulator. On the post, they seemed surprise by the release date announcement by stating that the SDK for the new simulator is not even complete yet. Speaking on their Facebook post, UK2000 Scenery said the release is “is far sooner than we would have thought,” before then saying “especially considering the SDK is not complete.” This is the first time a third-party developer has been quite so open about the beh…

I am an X-Plane 11 user with a pre-ordered FS2020. Last time I spec'd a computer, I made the mistake of buying a version of the Intel Core i9 that has a lot of cores but only so-so single-core performance (Core i9 9820X). Because X-Plane 11 is mostly limited to the single-core performance, I have a system that is completely bottlenecked by CPU (my GPU is a decent AMD Vega56 6 GB). My question for the community is whether we have some kind of expectation of how FS2020 will be take advantage of multiple cores. Has this discussion ever come up? Thanks!

Hi, If you are an FS Alpha tester and want to access and view all the superb 3D rendered cities in FS, get VFR Explorer. It lets you find and explore the cities in a very easy way in the FS's World Map. It also give access to more than 155 000 cities all around the world with just a few mouse clicks. VFR Explorer is a free app during the Alpha and Beta period

There seems to be a bit of confusion surrounding airports in MSFS. Remember - the list of airports included in their release announcement only represent the airfields receiving the highest level of custom scenery treatment by Asobo. Much like all the versions of flight simulator which have come before it, MSFS will still contain tens of thousands of other airports, and they've created a very intensive workflow to make sure that even many of the smallest airports are covered. I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing how the airports in my local area have been treated - if they are anything like the other "generic" airports we've seen in videos and screenshots, a thir…

I hope I didn't miss this, but has there been any mention of a flight school in MSFS, sort of like the learning center in FSX? I'm still keeping an installation of FSX:SE on my system to complete the lessons and the virtual ratings (PPL, Instrument, etc.). Despite the many shortcomings and bugs I still find it quite decent to learn about the basics of each branch of flying. It would be nice to have an improved flight training in MSFS that is somewhat deeper and more realistic.

The biggest thing that concerns me is multi-pc flight simming support out of the box. As many of you are familiar with, XP11 does a fantastic job and setup of a server and clients is easy. P3D not so much. I really hope Microsoft copies how XP11 does it!

Hi friends 😀 One of the best design features of X-Plane 11 is its excellent default view & eyepoint-movement controls. In a matter of minutes you can set up custom views and bind them to hotkeys from virtually anywhere inside or outside the airplane. Its also very simple to adjust the current view - just use the arrow keys. Example. Setting up a left wingview in a Boeing 737-800 in X-Plane 11 1. Use arrow keys to move backward through the flightdeck door to the passenger cabin. Keeping SHIFT pressed speeds up movement 2. Arrive at the window and use small taps of arrow keys to transition in the XYZ axis & mouse to adjust view direction. 3. Press CT…

If I'm not mistaken, in one video I saw that the streaming scenery data will be and can be "cached" for later instead of re-downloading, if so I have a feeling that the space will become an issue. So my question is that are you going to dedicate a Drive for MSFS2020 ? and how much. Other question would be can you install FS20 on an m.2 and have the scenery data on another drive ? HD/SSD ?
