July 15, 20205 yr In this thread we were discussing the visuals, how does a $60 MSFS compare to XP11 or P3D with multiple hundreds of $ addon scenery? A question I raised besides the scenery is ... how does it fly? If it looks good but flies like a toy we could as well fly the free Google Earth 'flight sim'. I'll be buying MSFS anyhow, but if I only then find out it flies like #%@¥ I will be disappointed. Not much has been heard about the flying behavior yet, and as longs as the NDA still is here we won't be hearing more. I've seen a couple of plane movements in some of the videos that looked a bit unnatural and made me wonder. I'm going to wait for the new nVidia 3000 series anyhow, but the unknown flying behavior also is a reason for me not to pre order, I like to hear some flying experiences and reviews first. To 'feel' the sim ourselves I wonder if a demo will become available? Edited July 15, 20205 yr by RudyB24 Always have fun --0-- Flight Sim Navigation

July 15, 20205 yr Author Lol, yes, I bet the internet and also this forum will 'explode' August 18, or 19. Could be an ideal to already start a couple of threads: How to install / solve common issues Beautiful places to visit. Bugs / problems. Always have fun --0-- Flight Sim Navigation
July 15, 20205 yr While there doesn't appear to be a demo, or the very least, one hasn't been announced, you could take advantage of the current Xbox Game Pass for PC offer of $1 for the first month. This would get you the full standard edition without any limits that a demo would have. https://www.xbox.com/en-CA/xbox-game-pass/pc-games#join In addition, Game Pass subscribers can purchase any of the games include in the Pass at a discount. Quote Love a game currently in the library and want to own it? You can buy it and save up to 20%, plus get up to 10% off related game DLC and add-ons. Discounts are based on the Microsoft Store price and are tiered based on the game’s global launch date. Between 31 and 90 days from a game’s launch date, members receive up to a 10% discount off the Microsoft Store price. After 90 days from a game’s launch date, members receive up to a 20% discount. For game DLC and add-ons, Xbox Game Pass members receive up to a 10% discount from the day the add-on is released. Xbox Game Pass discounts are not combinable with other offers and are not redeemable for cash; discount offers exclude games within 30 days of launch and are not available with select games; discounts based on Microsoft Store price.
July 15, 20205 yr Author Yes, that's a good alternative to a demo. Always have fun --0-- Flight Sim Navigation
July 15, 20205 yr Don't worry. there will so many MFS is the best things ever to this is the worst sim ever video on YT for all your click-bait pleasure https://fsprocedures.com Your home for all flight simulator related checklist.
July 15, 20205 yr Or you can pay for a one month subscription to see how it is and how well your system can handle it. Basically a paid demo 🙂 I think there will be YouTube videos by some hand picked like the week before it is released, like companies do with other products, but I have no clue, and am just guessing on this. I would be surprised if they did not at least let some of those YouTubers that they invited last September, for a last minute hype. But who knows! If you haven't used the $1.00 month subscription you can have a demo for a buck 🙂 "Coffee, if your not shaking, you need another cup" Flight Sim Break Discord Channel: https://discord.com/invite/fCV62Ka2QZ
July 15, 20205 yr But I don't want a comparison to xplane! I don't want everyone to say that flight behavior is word not allowed because it's not like in xplane. (yes, so far I've only read this, only comparison to xplane) I prefer to hear a comparison from real pilots.

Real pilots will tell you that real world aircraft's flight behavior is substandard compared to XPlane. (Well, at least *some* will) 😄 Hook Edited July 15, 20205 yr by LHookins Larry Hookins Oh! Flightchops, who is both a real pilot of a number of planes from WWII trainers to modern stuff, and a simmer, was very favorably impressed in a video he did probably 6 months ago or so. July 15, 20205 yr MFS has a new flight dynamic engine which is no longer tied to game framerate, new collision model and ground handling supporting sloped runways, and a whole new weather engine which pulls better weather than anything we've ever seen in any sim - the aircraft are no longer on rails, they bob around on the air currents, you get ridge lift, and control surface movements impact surrounding surfaces (I think Asobo said they simulate something like 1000 points versus 1 in previous MSFS versions). You can subscribe to Xbox Gamepass PC (for $5 pcm I think with no minimum term, sometimes there's a $2 offer) so you can try it out cheaply albeit not a free demo. Until the NDA is lifted and experienced people can feedback, the best info you'll get on how it flies is this video: Edited July 15, 20205 yr by ckyliu ckyliu, proud supporter of ViaIntercity.com. i5 12400F, 32GB, RTX4070, more in "About me" on my profile.
