  1. Admins, for obvious reasons there are some folks between us that believe that trees are the only issue that has to be fixed while there is ton of other important issues to be fixed that are by now very obvious to the Asobo/MS and the whole FS community. So maybe just maybe is it an idea to create a sub-forum for trees just like you did with VR? Maybe just maybe then we can have senseful discussions back on the forum. Just a silly thought....😒

I'm hoping someone from the Microsoft FS 2020 team will read this. Noticed something in the footage that's available for Heathrow Airport which I feel could be improved with a small change, but would pay tribute to one of the most iconic aircraft of all time - a 2D Concorde image at the approach to 27L. I know the likelyhood of Concorde being one of the included planes is slim, but given the history surrounding the aircraft, the uniqueness of her, and the fact that she is one of, if not the, most recognisable aircraft ever to have been produced, would it be possible to just have a 3D version of her sitting there instead. And potentially in the other open air sites wh…

As we know there will be 80 more detailed airports and an unknown number of highly detailed “iconic airports”. Some of these I think are as good as confirmed, thanks to the screenshots and footage. These are: EIDL Donegal Airport EGLL London Heathrow LFLJ Chourchevel KASE Aspen/Pitkin County Airport KJFK John F. Kennedy International Airport KLAX Los Angeles International Airport KORD Chicago O’Hare International Airport KSEA Seattle-Tacoma International Airport KSFO San Francisco International Airport KTEX Telluride Regional Airport MRSN Sirena Aerodrome NZQN Queenstown Airport SBGL Rio d…

Quoted from RSR, [31MAY20] Weekend NOTAMs and a short development update... It is always important to Read to the End:Just to minimize any guesswork, we are planing to bring each of our four major product lines (737, 747, 777 and DC-6) into the new Microsoft Flight Simulator. MSFS promises to give us entirely new capabilities, and it will take some time to adapt each product to capitalize, but they will all be brought over in time. We will have more to say about this at the right time and place, but there has been a bit of hyperbolic discussion that I wanted to clarify with this piece of information here. This makes MSFS2020 just that more tasty fo…

Hi all, Exciting news about the alpha invites going out next week. They have said they will prioritise people who signed up early. When exactly did the alpha invites first go out? I completed the survey on the 17th of January, is this considered early? *The latest screenshots and videos are unbelievable. That 2nd video, just skimming the sky scraper, the sounds of the wind and the camera head movement as it hits the bumpy air, just looks perfect. It’s going to be epic

Hi, More musings from a curious simmer. Notwithstanding all the arguments surrounding how we access MSFS when it is eventually RTM, we might feel inclined to consider how Microsoft/ASOBO will recoup their undoubtedly huge existing and ongoing development costs. Why did MS revisit this franchise when history and, arguably, a lack of vision had soured their experience with financial losses and consequent abandonment of the product? From Wikipedia: Where implemented, a franchisor licenses its know-how, procedures, intellectual property, use of its business model, brand, and rights to sell its branded products and services to a franchisee. In this instance…

I wonder if anyone is interesting in an exchange of 2 Microsoft Betas for 1 Microsoft FS2020 Alpha? I have the Minecraft for Windows 10 and No Man's Sky Beta invitations and want to trade it for a Microsoft FS2020 Alpha invitation.

  15. For anyone still doubting the sim will release in 2020, this should put the matter to rest, I asked the Asobo head of comm' & here is her reply: https://twitter.com/AirCanada881/status/1266268993796505600

  22. I have been simming for roughly over 7 years now using FSX, X-Plane, Prepar3D, DCS World and Aerofly FS. My main one was P3D then I switched to X-Plane 11. Ever since the news came out for MSFS2020 I became extremely excited and plan on deleting P3D and X-Plane all together to free up space on my HD for MS's upcoming FS. I'm curious if any of you guys will be doing the same? It would be nice to have a flight sim with much of the stuff built right into the core itself such as weather, airports, etc. This sounds like a dream come true. I have spent thousands of dollars during my time to buy so many add-ons for FSX, X-Plane and P3D and kind of regret wasting so much money. B…

  23. Now that we know the extent of the NAV data and functionality of the NAV and GPS/map equipment in FS2020, it would be great to be able to move the gps, map (with NAV and COM frequencies and SID/STAR listings) and the entire FMC/FMS to external devices like iPad and tablets for touch screen use. I have a home cockpit that hybrids the VC with iPad's and tablets for easy touch screen use so I dont have to move the cockpit view around to change freqs, look up NAV info or input data to the FMC/FMS. That can all be done through Garmin pilot and the use of web FMC pro on ipads in xplane11. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to have this feature. Makes touch screen entr…
