Hello everyone, so I've been thinking about the multiplayer in the new sim for a bit, and I figured that I would share my insights so far. We've all seen the feature discovery video. Like any other MSFS video, it looks quite awesome. Here is what I like (with the scope of that I know how current FS multiplayer works): Smooth aircraft movement - now this is a major thing because I can't stress enough the frustration of looking at stuttering, lagging aircraft. This opens up a lot of new possibilites! Real life traffic - this is simply awesome as I've always been trying to replicate real life flights and be a part of the real world aviation L…

Creating a new flightsimulator is like building a new house. At least I look, that all build in plug sockets are from same standart. So I really hope, thas all NavDatas are stored in just one folder. And that also Mr Randazzo and Mr Koskij et cetera use their Navdatas from this place. I also hope, that there is only one flightplan format. If a 3.party producer wants a different format, he has to convert it himself (in his addon) to his ever so much better format! My third big hope is, that also the simulater itself (FS 2020) uses from now on the Navdatas from the obove-mentioned NavData folder. So we have a little chance, that everybody uses the sam…

I think maybe my acceptance email went to my junk folder In January which gets auto deleted every 30 days. On the insider hub I show I joined the Microsoft flight sim alpha but it doesn’t have a link to download. Any ideas?

Anybody else besides me who is not currently part of the Alpha get a "Share Your Alpha Update Feedback!" survey from Microsoft??? At first I thought, I must have missed an invitation email from them, but I scoured my inbox, junk mail, trash...anything I could think to search and nothing! I log into every MS Flight Sim web site or Xbox page I can find and, again, nothing...why are they torturing my poor soul! 😧

I have 50 mbps download and 10 mbps upload internet speed. Could anyone guess whether the download speed is more important or whether the upload speed should also be 50?

So many people here still ask, and I understand it can be daunting. So many options to choose, how's my system, how does my system rate? What do I buy if I need to? I have your solution, go to User Benchmark build page, https://www.userbenchmark.com/PCBuilder Where on the left you select your CPU and on the right select MS's suggested CPU. and compare figures side by side to see how your system fares. The same can be done with the GPU. Happy Analytics!

I just saw a couple of videos with SimToolKit Pro, and after installing an messing around with it, I wish that MS/Asoo would include something similar in MSFS. We haven't yet seen what their flighplanning tool looks like, but STP sure has almost anything from planning to EFB to Metar and much more. It can even integrate with Simbrief, Navigraph and PFPX, Vatsim, IVAO and Pilot edge. I don't fly online, so what I would like to see was offline ai,instead. And the best thing is it's FREE. I don't know if the author plans to convert it to MSFS when it's out, but I hope MS will take a look at it, and do something similar.

What I really like with XPLANE11 vs FSX and P3D, is the simplicity of the installation of addons. The folder structure is so much cleaner and easier to cope with. With FSX and P3D we have 4 to 5 folders to cope with and addons are spread around here , there and everywhere. I really hope the folder structure in MSFS2020 and installation of addons are not as in FSX and P3D.

I am absolutely blown away by the new screenshots on the mfs2020 insider page! This only keeps reassuring that this will be the absolute game changer!... One of my biggest concerns however is...the dreaded frame rates!...with this amount of insane detail a really expensive rig is going to be needed...oh my! And if you observe closely in one of the screenshots at one of the airports in the top left corner you can see that one user was getting 23 fps...looks like he was using the old fraps...go figure.

Hello, I have been a member of our local gliding club for some time. After the MFS2020 / FSI was announced, I'm looking forward to testing some gliders and weather events such as updrafts and thermals. Unfortunately, I have not yet been invited to test the Alpha. So, I have a little question for the Alpha participants or the Asobo studio itself: Is it possible to fly a glider and how well is the thermal simulated? I'm looking forward to some answers Johannes

This is the new XBOX specs. This MAY or MAY NOT help determine requirements for MSFS. Just thought I would share: https://www.theverge.com/platform/amp/2020/2/24/21150578/microsoft-xbox-series-x-specs-performance-12-teraflops-gpu-details-features?__twitter_impression=true

For me I would love to see if Asobo has been able to model Waterfalls. There are so many beautiful examples in the world it would for me add an incredible immersion factor especially with the Icon A2! Please fell free to tell me what you would like to see First! Hamish.

Hello everybody, Today’s update is a small Quality of Life update to address some important issues from Alpha 1.2.10.0.Thank you for your feedback! Bug Fixes and QoL Improvements ➡️ Azure TTS – This build includes an improved method of generating speech for radio communications. The Azure Custom Voice method uses cloud computing and sophisticated real-time models to better simulate real speech. Check out the 2nd landing at Sirena, that's ballsy. Hopefully we will get to do this awesome approach on MSFS as long as the trees are not 3 story high!

I know there are no specs out yet, and Alpha testers are under an NDA, but I'm interested in your thoughts on how much VRAM you will be looking for with your next graphics card. Having just read all the posts on the flaming dumpster fire that is the "VRAM issue" in P3Dv5, even if MSFS has a better memory management solution (i.e. doesn't just crash like P3D when it runs out of VRAM) when it moves to DX12, I'm thinking a large amount of VRAM is going to be the preferred option if you want stunning visuals. Based on the various rumours of cards coming out this year there will be consumer cards with 16Gb however no doubt they are going to be expensive. So ther…

Was wondering what the lowest settings any alpha testers may have been accepted on and what they reckon would be required to run the game with decent performance and graphics? thanks bill
