  1. She's lovely. Just so I don't spread any speculation, it IS a photoshop of the QW787 into Flight Simulator, with some colour correction of the VC to make it look natural.

  2. I having been using flight simulators for a very long time (back to the original Bruce Artwick version on the Apple IIe) and was an official beta tester for the first MS version after they acquired it. Unfortunately due to quite serious health issues I’ve been out of the loop in the past 14 months but now getting back into the fray. Like many of you I have a big investment in P3D and its many add-ons with some X-Plane 11 on the side. Last night for the first time I caught up on all the news, videos etc on the new MSFS and literally never went to bed. If MS deliver on the potential shown from my research it will be a massive game changer imo. T…

I do not know what others think about it, but I would love to see a replay mode in the upcoming MSFS, where you can watch certain parts of your flight (departure and landing etc.). It maybe not the most important feature, but certainly something interesting. At the moment I am simming in xplane and I absolutely love the opportunity to have this feature available. What about you guys? After watching several streamers here and there and everybody was always replaying his landing etc.

I'm thinking of upgrading my GTX 970 gpu for the new sim. My budget allows for one of these two: GTX 1080 or RTX 2070. Thoughts?

  8. Seems every official picture and/or GIF I've seen so far, the players are moving around the clouds and never through them. A HUGE part of the challenge of real world aviation is loss of horizon, or IFR. I wonder, is MSFS only a VFR sim even though they show clouds? Will we ever experience true IFR? I wonder what happens if a plane goes into the cloud in this new sim, is it just like "see-through" or "paper thin"? I remember a RW flight I flew a long time ago and we flew over lake Michigan at night, it was clear out but no moonlight. We lost the horizon and that was just as disorientating as going inside a cloud! I also wonder if these types of challenges will exist i…

Did anyone notice the bare areas of the grass just over the rear of the DA42? It looks like they hadn't finished putting sod down yet:

I wonder what will happen after MSFS2020 is released ? Will there be a new MSFS2022 and then MSFS2024 with new insane hardware requirements. Like earlier MSFS releases ? Or will it be more like Office 365 ?

  11. I hope sometime in the future when the game is released there will be the possibility of getting community involvement in improving the world such as areas of the world where autogen lacks and 3d models can be manually created and inserted, fixing terrain issues, waters, rivers and streams, or anywhere else that needs manual intervention. It could be similar to how Google Earth used to be, with many people placing their SketchUp models into the Earth for others to stream and view. Perhaps the community members can push a change to the world and the devs or someone at the MSFS team can approve the changes

Maybe a little extreme but one thing that I hope can be implemented on release or maybe even as an addon is AI planes repositioning from their gates to remote ramp parking to free up gate space. It was annoying and unrealistic seeing AI planes in past Ms flight sims disappearing after they land because all gate parking was full! It would be great if tow trucks could tow planes from one end to the other.

Would be great to see a whole flight for once from A till B in MSFS, instead of all the “prepared” stuff. What do you guys think?

P3Dv5 to be released April 14. https://www.prepar3d.com/home-slider/2020/04/115906/ Wow, didn't see that one coming. I wonder what it's going to do to MSFS. I wonder how many will buy it to have something new to fly until MSFS release. And, as a preview of what will happen in MSFS, I get to wonder how much of what I have for P3Dv4.5 I'll have to give up. Hey, @Lorby_SI @SteveW a little refreshing course for your fellow simmers would be welcome here 😃 ! We also made lots of progress on WebAssembly support, which is the technology that will allow the porting of native code to our platform.

I'm beginning to get the feeling that armchair pilots are going to find out, that they are not as good a pilot as they think they are. what do you think?

  20. Hello everyone. I've recently posted a video on my channel which discusses this very topical question. Who should stop buying P3D-X-Plane addons and who should keep buying? The monologue proposes many arguments for the hardcore simmer who's well established in his sim to keep his purchasing power in the market. The video has sparked a lively discussion in the comment section and I believe it is a much needed discussion as long as it is conducted in a civilized way conducive to an equable argumentative climate. I'm eager to hear what you all think! Best, Vincent

  22. I am speaking of the Garonne river pic in the EP#1. The landscape rendition is superb except... except the river is blue in the sim, yellowish (silted) in the real world. Something I look forward in the new sim is a true coloring of water bodies. Please Asobo, don't give us blue Mekong, Huang He, Congo, rivers in Borneo or ... Gironde estuary ! Red or yellow rivers have the name they have for some reasons !

  23. Hi all Looking forward to the release date announcement in the next few weeks Not sure if this has been asked before but would be great if we could have small details included. Such as being able to track total flight hours, engine hours, carry out routine maintenance, maybe have a garage we could customise bolt on mods like wheel fairings etc. Basically just like a2a p3d with the maintenance hanger. Having a persistent aircraft is key to this immersion too. Obviously applies more to light aircraft rather than the jets etc. It was the pic of the Cessna sat on the grass from speedwoblz that got me wanting. Never been so hyped for a release. Hope yo…

i was wondering how you can add aircraft into MSFS? i currently use XP11 which is super easy just put the whole plane in the aircraft folder and off you go but with the previous Microsoft flight simulator the aircraft was scattered around the program in multiple folders, this is differently a premature question but it just popped into my mind.
