  1. I am sure it takes more time to compile one than to select a screenshot but, for a true simmer, if such thing existed, this update is worth fifty cute screenshots of a TBM in the sunset 😀 ! Keep them coming ! Best thing after being in the alpha (but don’t take that as an excuse not to include me😂).

MS has signed a partnership with Daher for the TBM. An information I missed is that Daher has acquired the Idaho-based Quest in 2019, the guys who make the Kodiak. Just sayin'...

It appears there is going to be some sort of marketplace in FS2020, as seen in the newest multiplayer discovery video. It looks like it is currently not available in the Alpha. (Maybe we'll see more of it later in beta, or full release.) I'm very curious about this! Do you all think we could be seeing something similar to FSEconomy? (doing missions and buying new airplanes) I think that would be an amazing addition to a sim that already blows my mind.

Since the opportunity exists, I have applied as a tester for the alpha. Since the post by the developer on ther website, wich says that they are trying to give all applicants of my kind access to alpha, I was confused because I still have no acces to It. So i wanted to ask if there are any applicants who have been registered since the alpha program was launched but have not yet been accepted. Please do not missunderstand this post. I con untersand If they set a limit for the tester. Stay healthy, Johannes

In their last update, they mentionned they will " finalize any changes/communicate to the community, once we release the updated Alpha build" so early this week. Do you expect those who registered early and have waited for months will finally get access this week? 🙏

Hi, I just saw the latest change list from the alpha, but with a bunch of input devices support. However I missed one important brand there: Virpil, which has outstanding joysticks and throttles hardware. I own for instance the throttle T-50 and I wonder how much support Asobo will give to these other brands. Do you have any device that is not included in the list? https://virpil-controls.eu

Now that we know how live traffic works, specially that it will be controlled by AI once its signal disconnects, let’s have some ideas, suggestions on how an ATC can be implemented on this layout. We have to keep in mind that the ATC must have ways to vector you in and out while avoiding any collision with the live traffic. I would think the only way to do that is to sacrifice some realism in here. The only live data implemented on the sim is the departure time, and AI takes over from that point on. In this case, the live routine routes can already be fed onto the sim, and just be loaded for each traffic. The take is that ATC can easily fit you into the traffic sequenc…

  10. Monotonous yellow ground lights which all look the same can make night flights boring. I hope Asobo have implemented, or plan to implement, some variation in the type, color, shape and intensity of city lights to make night flying more enjoyable. Here's an example video,

Im hoping that the multiplayer in the sim will sync the sounds, lights, effects etc from aircrafts you see from other people flying. I remember this was realy bad in fsx and other flight sims.

After watching the new Discovery Series episode on Multiplayer last night, one question popped into my head: Will this be the end of hopes of bringing VATSIM to MSFS2020? It seems to me that the developers over at Microsoft have put an awful lot of effort into their multiplayer system, although with no hints of any kind of ATC implementation. I would have thought that given the influence that online ATC services such as VATSIM and IVAO have had on flight simulators over the past 20 years, they surely would have addressed it somehow. Perhaps they do not feel the need to have it at all in the new flight sim. Thoughts?

The new update really shared good details about the traffic in game. What I hope becomes a reality is the possibility to install AI models with real liveries so that the Real live AI can use those instead of generic planes and liveries. And those could also be used for regular AI as well. I am all about realism especially when it comes to AI. I love airports packed with aircraft and seeing real liveries performing real routes with authentic behavior will be a really big hit.

Youtube and Netflix is lowering their streaming from 4K to as little as 480 in Europe in order not to kill the Internet throughput during the Corona period. This will probably also be the case for MSFS2020

With more screenshots it becomes more evident that terrain mesh quality is quite compromised, maybe not everywhere, but even in key places like the grand canyon, the mesh looks blurry at the closest distance, suggesting that what we see in bingmaps or earth view, will be quite similar to what we see in the sim, at least in this alpha stage. Still a monumental improvement over what we had previously of course, but I wish Microsoft or Asobo could say something in this regard; what the update cycles will be and whether mesh resolution will be on par with what google has to offer, dito for photogrammetry, Or maybe it will be done procedurally. Autogen trees look gre…

Why not accept more or even all of us in the Alpha. What is holding them back I wonder. Apologies if this is naive, but the increased home time may also provide them more feedback.
