Hi Microsoft/Asobo, I hope you get to read this or indeed things get passed on. So on the insider with the latest development roadmap it outlines in July more Partnership Releases in addition to the ones we have, also it mentions Mid July a preview into August/September?? It mentions September yet you are releasing it mid August? The timelines have slipped a little although nothing drastic so was just wondering is this really retail ready??? I think the Closed Beta had really confused a few people in terms of testing etc.. And feel maybe it is now being rushed out the door. Are there features missing?? Kind regards Duncan Odgers

At at time when MS starts to sell the sim, it would be nice to have some light on two issues 1/ The ground terrain in the offline mode In a spoken interview in French, last year, Sebastian Wloch said We have also an offline mode, if there is absolutely no Internet. It looks very much like reality, it is very, very accurate, we just remove a little bit of the photosat accuracy which is more simplified but all the houses, all the trees, all the roads, all the lights, all the relief are still here. Lionel in the EP World added "we synthetize ground texture". It doesn't mean much. What can we expect compared to the Global LC for instance ? 2…

Hi friends 😊 I'm surprised that there is going to be no default 737 (NG or MAX) in the new sim. Why an omission of the one of the worlds most famous workhorse planes? I realize MAX is very new (+ of course its ongoing issues) so maybe they couldn't get much in the way of performance parameters. They should have gone with the NG series like the popular 737-800. This way we'd have two of the worlds most popular jets - A320 & 737 - right out of the box. Instead they went from A320 to B748. Why do you all think this is? MS is based right in the Boeing hearland! 737NG data must be coming out of the trees there! I feel the same about X-Plane11 which has a f…

I am super excited about the upcoming MSFS and have already pre-ordered the premium version. However I have one big concern and thats how much bandwidth does this thing consume. I have Comcast as my ISP and we're capped to 1TB of data per month. Between streaming data when flying in MSFS and sharing it for other things that I use my computer for, I'm afraid that I will easily hit that limit or go over it. I really hope that Asobo can continually make optimizations on their end so that we don't end up using so much bandwidth. I can hardly imagine how much data we would be using on a long haul flight using planes such as the 747.

After a very excited year+ waiting for the big release news, its finally came! Has anyone noticed about the number of hand crafted airports available on release? 40 in the premium deluxe version, which is great news. Reviewing the Airports video, they mentioned 80 being worked on. Im guessing that the remaining 40 will be up for purchase at release.

Do we know if any add one (specifically aircraft) will be available on launch day? Is there any idea of a schedule to update? Again, I’m thinking more PMDG, QualityWings, FSLabs etc.

I have several flights already planned for the new sim. These are flights I've made in FSX and P3D, some many times. Some of these will test the sim's limits. The first one is the Maule from McMurdo to the South Pole Station. I've done this in FSX many times and the geometry falls apart the farther south you get. The clouds get squashed as well but I understand the latest version of Active Sky fixes this. I want to explore Easter Island and look for stone faces. There are a few in FSX. I want to fly up the Orinoco River all the way to Bogota. This is more interesting than the Amazon. I want to check out Mount Rushmore and see if they have the Cra…

A good news is that FS20 will be sold in Europe also on disks. But, curiously, the product is some 20-odd GB when some testers (leakers !) were speaking of a 30-odd GB launcher plus a 80-odd GB sim downloads. I understand that a lot of optimization is being done before release but 5 to 1 ? What do the software professional sof this forum think of that ?

I'm sure we are all really hyped about everything MS2020, and I have pre-purchased the premium deluxe edition (fs has been a passion of mine for over 20 years now, so I dont see why I shouldn't indulge myself 🙂 ). I have watched many of the videos and all of the developer vlogs along the way. There is a great amount of eye candy there, but most of it is focused on the world and/or systems. What impression do you guys have when it comes to the quality of the default aircraft? I mean, the 748i seems to have a moving airport map which indicates to me that it is pretty advanced. However, seeing how many aircraft they are releasing with (40) it made me think that there a…

As great as the new FS looks, there are some shots in videos where it really doesn't look that good. I've picked two shots from preview videos. Most of the trees look like solid green blocks. But we also have seen screenshots with all the trees properly rendered. Is it because of: - Early status of the product? - The difference between online/offline? - Quality setting in the menu? - Difference between hand curated areas and remote areas? - Quality of Bing reference ? - Or just the best the new FS can do in some areas?

Am I wrong? It appears as though those with an X-Box Game Pass for PC will have access to the FS2020 Beta, and that a PC Game Pass is now available for $1 for the first month and $5 a month thereafter with a 'cancel anytime' policy? What's not to like - a month's worth of FS2020 Beta for a buck?!!! Xbox Game Pass for PC (Beta) Unlimited access to over 100 high-quality PC games on Windows 10. Join to get your first month for $1, then a limited time price of $4.99 a month thereafter.* https://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-game-pass/pc-games?&OCID=AID2100218_SEM_XwzlwwAABY04GZhK:20200714014408:s&msclkid=823463c4feab1d6111073cc9f44999c7&ef_id=Xw…

The latest Feature Discovery Series on IFR mentioned a tasty bit of info. Between 3:17 and 3:30, Damien discusses Garmin instrumentation and says this: "A large panel of instruments is represented on general aviation planes. From the Garmin 430 and 530 to the Garmin G3x, the G1000, 3000 and 5000" We've seen the G1000 in the 172 and the Diamond, the G3x in the XCub, and the G3000 in the TBM 930. But the G5000 hasn't yet been showcased, as far as I'm aware. From a brief search these are aircraft that are either currently equipped or can be retrofitted with the G5000: Citation Longitude, Sovereign+, Latitude, Citation X+, Excel/XLS+ (retrofit) Learjet 70/…

Hello Everyone, I'm new to the MS flight sim scene. My question is " What is the best gaming computer for the MS 2020 that is under 2 grand. I want the best experience possible but I'm not a millionaire. I don't want rhe bare minimum nor do I need the absolute maximum. Above average I will be happy with. I would be eternally grateful for any recommendations. Thank you in advance, Brett Gearhart

Looking at what we be getting im extremely happy with the prices. I myself ordered the premium package without even twitching. Look , before you pull out your FS Flame 🔥 gun i had been around since fs95 . I had maxed out god knows how many credit cards For simulator/beer related $$$$ so i know what it will be if we had to pay for all we get separate you will probably be well over 120$ im I expecting THE Holly grail of sims ? Not at all , im expecting bugs and things that can be improved like in any other new software or previously released sim . But again overall im extremely pleased , god even my wife is happy 😃 ...... so far ...

A feature that I look very much forward to, is the modeling of the air flow along slopes, over ridges and at the cliff drop of a plateau (when a threshold is near). Curiously, there has been no reference to it in the leaks, winks or official promo materials since Asobo’s Features Discovery series #3. Putting aside gliding which won’t be in at release, it should make a world of difference for mountainous flying of a loaded Caravan (an example) specially when combined with damp/hot air in the tropics and/or thin air in altitude. Bush flying... If I were in the alpha that would be something I’d check inside out. Just sayin’😀... PS btw, speaking of altitude, I …

Seems like MS is making a big deal lately regarding the new Ray Tracing features and bonuses of newer Nvidia Cards in Minecraft... Has there been any mention of FS2020 taking advantage of this feature for release?
