Much has been discussed about how far things will go. I watched a YouTube video today where the user flew right down the streets of NYC and could make out all the little marquees and stuff.

Just wondering whether it's possible to fly with historical AI (from 2 days ago, for instance) pretty much the same way we're choosing historical weather with AS Thanks

  4. My internet connection (end of ADSL line) is dreadful and as usual the local pols are bigger in words than in deeds. Fiber was for 2020. Now 2021... My 4g voice reception is nothing to talk about either (pun not intended). I may try though but also looking into a satellite internet reception. Are any of you testers streaming the sim from a satellite internet provider ? Anything good or bad to say ?

  11. Since Microsoft Flight Simulator will be using live weather data to simulate real world weather I am wondering if they will simulate volcanic eruptions? I think having to take volcanic eruptions into consideration when making flight plans in order to avoid large concentrations of volcanic ash would be a nice addition to other dynamic weather considerations we will have to make in the sim. It would also make certain places in the world much more immersive (Hawaii, Indonesia, and many more I'm sure). Since other extreme weather phenomena are hypothetically already being simulated such as hurricanes I don't think it is unethical to include other severe environmental factors …

  12. In less than a day. https://www.pcgamesn.com/microsoft-flight-simulator/top-seller After it was confirmed Microsoft Flight Simulator would be coming to Steam, the simulation game has jumped straight to the of the Steam top sellers list. Developer Asobo Studios announced the achievement on Twitter, with a screenshot that had Flight Simulator in the number one stop, ahead of shrunken action-adventure game Grounded. The two are in active contention for chart dominance, both currently hosting betas, as party battle royale game Fall Guys brings up the rear in third, itself holding another short beta following a huge showing last weekend.

I am of course excited that it soon will be released...but my biggest concern is if my system will run this "smoothly"... My pc specs more then meet the minimum requirements...but I am pretty sure that those supposed given chart requirements have to be taken with a big grain of salt...well...I guess I will really find out once I install the sim and test run it. In the mean time all else is pure speculation. I do have a million dollar question though: All those promotional trailers that we have seen since the beginning from Microsoft and Asobo which show ultra smooth gameplay with super smooth frame rates...I wonder what system they use...I w…

Now, before anyone misinterprets what i'm saying. I'm not angry or disappointed in the game in any way. The game is gorgeous, the flight model looks great, the UI looks simple to use but offers a great range of things to do & the hard work & technical achievements that's been put into it has been great. However, that doesn't mean it's perfect or exempt from nitpicks/feedback. Here's my 2 cents, feel free to add yours. Water reflections 'wiping' across the screen exclusively (i believe) on interior view. Every gameplay i've seen where they're using interior view & flying nearby to 'shore'. depending on the direction they are moving the reflections…

How fast does ice form on planes in real world? Looking at the two videos below, it seems that it forms very quickly (I don't know it they were using real weather or not and the temperature experienced). What is strange is they pass through clouds only for a short period of time (less than 15 seconds in the Cessna video... 🤨), it looks very strange (but is amazing, indeed 😅) In this video ice forms at 15:20: In this video ice is showed at 15:30, but I think it formed during the cloud passage at 14:15:

Active Sky has been a major player in our quest to achieve a realistic flight simulation experience for many years. Does anyone know if they have any place within the new Microsoft Flight Simulator, it would be a travesty if all there good work and commitment to our hobby was lost on the release of MFS with 'possibly' most of us moving to new MS flight Sim.

  20. A little throwback to my Topic where I mentioned that new Flight 2020 should have Voice acted Missions, Challanges and Aerocache hunt same as closed Microsoft Flight 2012 had: Are there any news regarding this? Microsoft Flight have around 12 Voice acted Missions, around 30 Challanges and around 300 Aerocahces hidden on the Islands of Hawaii. Now imagine same in Flight 2020, tens of Voice acted Missions, Start up tutorials, emergency missions, Introductions to Small/Medium/Huge planes (like in Flight 2012) and then the best part, the Aerocaches. Since Flight 2020 world will be huge, like the whole Earth, imagine thousands of Aerocaches hidden/place…

I asked that questions last year, but perhaps more is known by now: what about long distance flights? Do we have to fly the aircraft in real time? Is there any time compression option? I'm afraid I won't have enough time to fly 4-hour routes in a A320... And second thing: I saw how nice route planning works in MSFS. But when we are in the cockpit of, say, A320, is the route automatically entered in the MCDU, or we need to write the route down and then enter manually point by point? Thanks

You can observe at the bottom of the wind layer settings menu, under GUST, in Belgeode's video. WOW ! MFS IS DA BEST EVER !!!!
