Some may have experienced these. I know that before I finally received my invite, I very carefully settled myself into a zen-like state of supreme indifference. Though I was pleased when my notice arrived, If it never came, I think I would have been fine. (but you never know.......)

From Robert PMDG 737 NG3 for Microsoft Flight Simulator: And now for the main event. It has been nearly a year since I told you that PMDG stands squarely behind Microsoft’s re-entry to the simming market and we intend to release all of our core product lines (PMDG 737, PMDG 747, PMDG 777, PMDG DC-6) into this platform upon it’s arrival. Since that announcement I have been largely silent on the topic primarily because it didn’t seem to make much sense to share with you the few bits of information that I am allowed to share when so much of what we might share is subject to embargo. With Microsoft’s announcement of the pending release date for their initial version …

France VFR and Orbx have been my two favorite scenery developers for Prepar3d. https://www.vfrnetwork.com/forums/index.php?/topic/17847-roadmap-feuille-de-route-2020-2ème-semestre/ The arrival of FS2020 scheduled for August 18 has somewhat upset our little world of simulation! Indeed the latter is in full effervescence, everyone seems to be waiting for this release announced with great noise, even if it seems however to be a beta version very far from a stable and relatively complete version! Now that we have been able to test the alpha version, that the release date is known, the approximate content and the price known as well, it is time to give y…

I started with A320 airbus on the Amiga and then moved onto FS5 and more recently to X-Plane. I will now switch to MSFS when it comes out. In all of my 30 years of flight simming I have flown airliners only. I never touched any GA aircraft even the default ones. I always wanted to be an airliner pilot but circumstances did not allow it. I have never been interested in GA flying or flying small aircraft. Low and slow was boring over barren ugly scenery. The sim world looked nothing like real life. Even if you bought 3rd party addons like Orbx regions you could only fly in one fairly small area where everything looked pretty much the same. Flying airliners w…

I've done some searching and haven't seen this discussed anywhere. Any of the Alpha testers out there please chime in, assuming it doesn't break the NDA. My biggest concern come launch, is learning the menus, setting up my yoke/rudder/throttle. Etc. From fs98 to p3dv5. The menus, while graphically different, seem to follow the same logic. Scenery/lighting/traffic/weather etc. Just curious if I'll need to give myself an xtra hr (or more?) to learn the in and outs of the new menu system. Just the fact you use a world map to setup the flight, shows how significantly different the menu seems to be. While I'm at it. Does it include a slew mode? Thank for the i…

FSX sold 1 million copies. But since then the gaming world has grown. What was surprising to me was that Euro Truck Simulator 2 sold 6.5 million copies. What's your prediction for FS2020? With Xbox game pass subscription, I'm not sure if this is the correct metric anymore, but still curious. Reference: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_PC_games

I've watched a yt vid or two but I don't think I get it. I heard one saying that when you fly around it will constantly be download the terrain/autogen into your computer. How does this make it easier for my computer to process this? My computer still has to draw all of this doesn't it? Can someone explain this to me, keep in mind I'm not a computer hardware guru, so keep it simple, thanks.

I am wondering, now that add-ons are going to be through the MS Store (I assume this will be the case with all major add-ons like PMDG), if we play multiplayer will we see the add-ons exactly as they should be or will they be replaced by an alternative default aircraft?

If you have watermarks on your screen while playing CB it means you are still under NDA. Journalist that MS have allowed to post articles and content are allowed but everyone else is still under the NDA... Just a friendly reminder

I understand that the cache was not working in the alpha as it was presented by Lionel and that the offline mode was not enabled. It seems that the "content creators" had a special preview version different than the alpha. Still nothing or did I miss a video. ? I am talking previews, not leaks.

Wondered if their behaviour (synchronised body movements) have changed over the alpha builds to beta? Go and seek and make friends with the animal kingdom in the latest MSFS build. Be a wildlife photographer and post your screen shots of them here please. WFFC

Just wondering if weather can be dangerous when ie flying into thunderstorms with a small ga airplane? Also, does icing have any tangible effects on the airplane’s behaviour?

A bit of speculation here. Given how Mir has worded this. Mir says. "Relating to FS2020, we're unable to answer any questions regarding that sim. One thing to keep in mind, is that I haven't formally announce this product for any target sim yet. What I can say is that the project is moving full steam ahead putting every little detail in the airport like you've never seen in previous projects."

Hello everyone! I am thinking of pre - ordering the new sim but not sure if I want to do it. I saw that people with Xbox game pass get access to the closed beta and It's supposed to start today. Is this true? I didn't really understand, I am a bit confused. Let's say I subscribe for one month with Xbox game pass will I be able to try the new sim and then decide if I want to get it? Thank's! Yuval:)

The one (and maybe only) thing I miss from FSX is the feeling of opening the sim and immediately being taken away by the menu’s orchestral arrangement. I think that musical piece is what initially brought a feeling of adventure to flight. It’s similar to the feeling of the music while waiting in line for Soarin’ over California at Disneyland. Can we get that old FSX theme music as the menu / intro music to the new sim? I think that’d bring things full circle and connect the line of sims, and it honestly suits the feeling of adventure and flying far more than the music they’ve been using for the trailers (their current theme sounds a bit dystopian and dark...). …
