Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Absolutely brilliant and well narrated!

So I was thinking. Assuming no early download availability, the sim is allegedly available for D/L from 23:00 on the 17th. Now, with that in mind, when do you think it will be zipped up and finalised? Here's my theory. I'm gonna assume that Asobo has a company structures which is essentially along the lines of this: A lead programmer for various sections of the sim, with some minions they dole tasks out to, and they report to a project supervisor, who reports to a boss, who reports to an MS project supervisor, who reports to a boss, who reports to marketing etc. With this in mind, I reckon the following: They would need the (three) final zipped and ready to rock…

With the release only 12 days away I was wondering if Avsim are planning how to handle all the new posts. Watching the various videos that are doing the rounds it's clear to see there are a few anomalies in the sim. Plenty of sub forums will be needed. Looking forward to getting back into simming again and SEEING the world. Ed.

Salut, This problem was very intense on the MFS images in 2019, since they have improved this problem quite a bit on the bing textures. But there is still a lot of area to be treated ... And the second problem is that all aircraft instrument panels have very poor contrast. Here are 2 images that of MFS20 and the one that I retouched. Really looking forward to FS2020 after seeing numerous videos recently However, there seems to be a lack of coverage regarding asian cities such as Singapore I wonder if any beta testers will be willing to do a overfly of SIngapore and comment on the scenery quality with real life? I'm really stoked to see if it measures up with what I've seen in other cities! Cheers

I'm quite impressed by what I'm seeing in all the FS2020 videos. Of course, there are limitations, like we see in the Niagra falls video and elsewhere. Still, generally speaking, what we are seeing is better than what is offered for default in essentially every other sim. In terms of my expectations, that's everything I'd hope for. First up, I would like to see some liveries for the jetliners, and perhaps some for the GA aircraft as well. Maybe there'll be some on release...we'll see.

OK guys I know this is mostly P3Dv5 forum, but I spent 50% of time in X-Plane 11 and 50% of time in P3Dv4 now v5. Flying IFRs got 2 sims maxed. PMGD/FSLab/Majestic and in X-Plane Toliss/Zibo/FlightFactor and almost all payware sceneries including ORBX and X-Plane with Ortho4XP too sitting on NAS 20TB with 10Gbit/s local LAN connection. Of course I bought MS FS2020 and was thinking, that for some time MS FS2020 will have to mature. I am a guy who flies both sims. Love X-Plane and love P3Dv5. Each has pros/cons. If you have to kill one sim, as you're flying mostly IFRs on VATSIM, which one will it be?

Hi, I've been watching MSFS 2020 videos lately, and have noticed that when showing outside views it looks like they are looking through a fish eye lens. I hope this is not how they should appear. Any ideas on this phenomenon? Thanks

Will it be possible to open few windows (PIP) within the simulator to see the cockpit and outer view at the same time ? ( As it was possible in FSX)

It seems many addon developers are hard at work getting a products line ready for the coming sim. Two new features of MSFS is the 3D grass/rocks/ground and the sloped airports (runways/aprons/taxiways) I really hope there is a way to keep those features in addon airports. It seems for those addon scenery airports that go outside of the airport fence line, I also hope that POI items are hand picked as some of the default items are better than the addon in some areas.

Hmmmmm... As a tester, I looked at the hanger a few minutes, went "Meh." and forgot about it. Here, he actually makes it look (mildly) interesting.
