Watching the various videos that are doing the rounds it's clear to see there are a few anomalies in the sim. Plenty of sub forums will be needed. Looking forward to getting back into simming again and SEEING the world. Ed. I don't think so - everyone will be flying. Primarily so I can not bother going there and not have to read all the idiotic requests for pointless subfoums. I do like the idea of a 'your sim sucks' subforum though. That's another one I would studiously avoid. I'm putting out a request for a sub forum where people are only allowed to post messages that I agree with.

Then i need 1 subforum for serious discussions on technical issues. Then i need 1 subforum maybe for travel advices, something like a FS20 trip advisor with hints to nice places to be visited by air. Then i need 1 subforum for aircraft. then i need 1 subforum for scenery addons. just my 2 cents. Maybe, for your 3 cents, you can have a forum for MSFS flight advising. Robin "Onward & Upward" ... And I daresay there'll be a few of those too. No, the 'anti-collision beacon' does not prevent you from crashing into things... August 6, 20205 yr Don't forget subforums "Where's the P-51?" and "Why can't I see out my window at 50,000 feet?"
August 6, 20205 yr Why does it say I've stalled when the engine is still running? How come that runway is only 200 feet long, but 10,000 feet wide? Edited August 6, 20205 yr by Chock Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
August 6, 20205 yr It may be a little busier but the vast majority of MFS users will not find Avsim, I suspect. Probably post on Reddit, or the Steam forums, etc. And its a good thing too because I don't have the highest confidence that this site can handle much more. Mark CYYZ
August 6, 20205 yr Yeah, I'd reckon the Steam forum will be the main place for those kind of questions. Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

August 6, 20205 yr Based on the performance of the Avsim forum software in recent months, I predict the server will look at the massive traffic increase on August 18th, will say “Right, Imma head out”, and then promptly implode into a black hole. August 6, 20205 yr Yeah I don't want to burst any bubble but most people will definitely be on Reddit/Steam discussions/Discord this is how it's done now, forums are a "threatened species" and only the oldest ones survive these days. Besides I'm not sure if everyone's aware but AVSIM has quite a bad reputation (and I'm being nice here) on the outside, just take a quick look at r/MicrosoftFlightSim and you'll see what I mean. (Note: i'm neither a "youngster" or "boomer" -just somewhere in the middle-, I actually visit all of these places as well as these forums and use all of them sparingly. So I'm not judging/taking any sides here, just making observations 🙂) Edited August 6, 20205 yr by Jonathan Berthier
