August 4, 20205 yr There’s no computer in the world capable of bringing a flight simulator to its knees. Flight simulator always wins. Let’s face it - we want to fly into big cities, with complex aircrafts, at 4K and maxed out graphics. It ain’t happening in our lifetime. I just watched a Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 747-8 land in Los Ángeles at 4K and maxed out graphics. The computer was on the verge of collapse (10 frames). This was a default aircraft. Just think PMDG in LA or NY - it ain’t happening unless you make some serious compromise. Edited August 4, 20205 yr by Huascar
August 4, 20205 yr I suspect it'll be better now than it was in the old days. When FSX came out, the ideal specs were something along the lines of the computer from the Starship Enterprise. Some of us used to joke about renting time on a supercomputer just to get a smooth flight with all the sliders maxed. Ryzen 7 7800X3D/B650 X AX | 5090 | 32gig | Win10 | Pimax Crystal Light
