Quick question: How do I change the cdi to track the loc instead of gps? Can't seem to find the button for it 🙂

HI all, I just received this beautiful package (we old people from the XX century still love a carton box with actual printed manuals inside, how quaint 🙂) Now my problem is that I paid 1 euro and installed the standard version from the web on the 18th of august. Any hint on how to proceed? Is there an option for an upgrade? Also, I will register my boxed version with my existing Microsoft account, so what happens to my previous registration with XBOX Live? I have a lot of space on my 4TB ssd, so I could also go with a parallel install. Do you think it could work? Thank'you Andrea

Just to let you know...it took over an hour to create the cache file on my HD. Had the room, so figured to increase the cache size from what the program created, which was only 8GB...and I took it off my C(:) drive...where it is created by default. Actually more like an hour and a half...

1st time on this forum, so hope this is in the right place. I have FS2020 on my Dell laptop (high end spec,15in screen) and find it esier to use analogue instruments than the G1000; the latter being just over 2 inches across and thus too small to read all of the detail. Relatively few planes have panels with dials however; the ones that do, have so little cockpit illumination that they are impossible to read. Setting the screen brightness to 100 doesn't improve matters and my attmpts to turn on the panel lights have not been succssful - having found the panel light option in the 'Controls' section, setting the switch to a simple keyboard letter has no effect. …

Sorry for the catchy Headline but i ran out of space. 😛 As the title says...until this morning everything went very well running MSFS i had a pretty decent setup which was/is quite enjoyable to use. All of a sudden only some party of my hometown look extremely low res almost like ruins and are oly rendered when very close by. Its only this town and the rest of the "world" is normally rendered. I didnt change anything but tried to delete the Cache files which didnt help aswell as not using a cache at all. Its relly annoying considering i was planning to fly from here every day. I noticed after looking up 2 popular airports in my region that both are missing all of their instrument approaches. Each airport has 2 Rnav GPS approaches that are not included in fs2020, and one of them is even a waas approach. Is the current navdata already known by MS to be incomplete, and they plan a nav update soon? I thought I read that the navdat was supposed to be fairly recent and accurate to real world, no?

I know, NDA, but I just keep thinking about this 😄 40 hand crafted airports in the vanilla version is just excellent, but I assume that we've only seen these in the footage (would make sense). So I'm wondering how the other airports will look like. Same level of detail as P3D? Better? What do you ask think? 🙂

From my own experience, all the supposed "live" features are terribly broken currently. Live weather doesn't load accurately. Live AI bugs out with AI aircraft disappearing suddenly and appearing out of no where again Why did Asobo even market these features if they don't even work?

well, after flying 4 hours with Autopilot over Sahara i just came back to my PC and saw this:

Suddenly I've lost the possibility to open the in-flight windows for camera and weather. The respective icons are still visible in the row of icons in the in-flight menu (not hidden). When I press camera icon - the small box with a text "CAMERA" appears just below the icon, but no actual camera window allowing to choose the cockpit, external or drone views and manipulate their parameters. The icon also goes negative (for all the properly workin gicon, the icon turn negative when the corresponding window is displayed). After another click the icon is no longer negative. How do you choose the altitude in the world map flight planning?

Hi all: So I have a 21:9 ultrawide monitor that I am using fs2020 on. I am getting alright frame rates, but the biggest hit to my FPS I believe is coming from the resolution which is set to 3440x1440. My issue is that there is no lower 21:9 resolution available. Is it possible for me to set the config files so I could play the game in a 16:9 aspect ration with the height staying at 1440? I changed the settings in usercfg to 2560 x 1440, but that gets stretched on my monitors. Looking for tips on how to display 2560 x 1440 without stretching. By that I mean, there will be black borders on the left and right, but I would get better fps. TIA.

I am coming off of the Fslabs so I know there are a TON of things lacking in the 2020 version when compared to FSLabs. Having said that, I am trying to get a flight going either on Vatsim or without the awful default ATC. Can someone answer the following? - Is there a way to pop out the MCDU or at least get a hotkey that goes directly to that so I don't have to scroll / Zoom, etc? In P3d, i set up different views on my stick. - I find that going into managed and selected mode is difficult to do with the mouse and isn't very friendly. Is there a trick? (also can you turn off the messages that says what the button is when you scroll over the hot spot?) …

Hi, After playing a bit with vertical synch in and out of the sim, I disabled everything in Nvidia and the sim to check how my fps would perform in a certain context. I can see my FPS not going any higher (ever) than 30. I restarted the sim and reseted Nvidia without any change. Any idea on what is containing my fps to this value ? I have no technology G-synch monitor, whatsoever. Thank for your help Souheil

Hi Hope someone could answer me some questions. 1) I was expecting a PDF manual with the Sim and cannot locate it. Is there one? 2) Is anyone experiencing very long loading times when starting the Sim and when going into flight? 3) I saw hardware questions were not allowed in this section. I just had a quick one. I have a HOTAS Warthog Throttle and it has 2 throttles. I notice in the controls section only my Right Throttle is appearing. Is that normal? Thanks a lot.

Let's get these bugs squashed so we can all go back to enjoying the incredible work of Asobo! And so, in the spirit of bug squashing and greatly improving the default aircraft, I propose we set up a bug-tracking subforum for aircraft, with separate threads for individual aircraft. The first post in each aircraft's thread can contain all known issues along with the status of that bug and whether or not it has been reported to Asobo via the Zendesk system. I know something vaguely similar exists in the forums over on the Microsoft/Asobo site, but the focus on identifying bugs (and other issues) with tracking isn't there (as far as I know).
