Really hoping Linda will be made available for the new sim although a post I saw from the developer seemed to indicate maybe not, I hope there will be another way I can use my vrinsight MCP module at some point really miss that device

Is there a way to stop TrackIR snap back to the default straight ahead position after a few seconds in disabled mode? Any other tips and ideas for TrackIR? Unfortunately there is no simple binding for default VC view in MSF2020. It used to be F9 I think in the previous iterations. i bound F9 to TIR Center. Thanks.

Is there a way you can set up a flight plan so that it is not a straight line from the Departure Airport to the Arrival Airport? (For example, if you want to fly from Philadelphia airport to John F. Kennedy, & over fly Atlantic City airport on the way) Thanks T45

Anyone else having issues with ice protection in king air? My boots wont work and windows ice up despite max window heat.

I just want to launch the Sim and fly and not have to login etc to xbox....is that a possibility or no and is there a way to launch the "exe"...can't launch..no permission etc. Thanks, BobM.

How's this going for people? Just some observations from my part.... I can see traffic on approach that is actually on approach in the real world - bloody amazing. Plane lands - disappears halfway down the runway and then reappears on approach. Also the AI landing animation is very disappointing - no improvement from FSX imo This is the only issue I currently have with the SIM, it's more of an irritant than anything else - overall I'm loving Flight Simulator.

Anyone using the Autopilot.copilot feature has probably experienced the plane suddenly losing its mind and doing something silly, such as missing the airport entirely, suddenly tilting into a death spiral, landing completely off the runway,.... and more. Earlier in beta when seeing this, I started wondering about the people who had been paid to trace the airports. I surmise that many had no previous experience in simming or aviation, and remnants of that lack of knowledge remain throughout the sim. Is it just me or is Asobo using lit textures on the rwy and taxi lights? It dont iluminate the ground or the objects around. I thought this lit texture times was oldschool and finnished in 2020.

I’m trying really hard to stay optimistic about 2020, but I keep finding mind numbingly poor features/decisions/physics that make me wonder what was going on during Alpha/Beta? Was there any constructive feedback or was everyone to busy drooling at the scenery to see the glaring issues? Just to list a couple. Flight dynamics! Say what you will about control sensitivities (which should not have to be significantly reduced to make the sim fly able) but I took a 208 up for a quick flight. My job was running a branch of the family business, main office located in Louisville Ky. I frequently flew back and forth between KCMH and KLOU (Bowerman Field) in both day and night conditions. I know there is a site for all the want a be content providers. What I wonder is if there are provisions or anyone trying to keep out Trojans and Virus programs. This new sim is getting a lot of noise around all the gaming sites and I wonder how long it will be before the hackers show up. There may be a good answer I don't know. How long will it be before thousands of folks learn the hard way. It is no secret that MS stuff is one of the top targets for these nut cases.

Hi, I have read a number of posts on Reddit where people have created content (imported 3d models from g-maps, default aircraft paints...) but none of the files have made it into the AVSIM library. I'm not seeing any files in the library for MSFS at all. Is there a reason for this? I'd ask on Reddit, but any mention of AVSIM on Reddit is usually met with hostility or a dismissive attitude.

Two observations on windsocks: 1) their response to the wind seems absurd. They often seem to glitch about left and right, up and down in a stop-motion fashion without any real fluidity and don’t seem to provide a reliable indication of wind direction or speed. 2) I’ve noticed their placement often doesn’t match the real world. I’ve wondered why this is the case, and whether it could make for a straightforward fix. Oftentimes the windsock’s location is really obvious from satellite imagery, as it sits at the centre of a large painted circle. I mentioned this before, but was hoping someone has a solution to this bug or pilot error. ATC tells me, for example, to expect ILS 24 bla bla bla. I select the appropriate approach, then load/activate the approach. Plane makes a 180 and heads back to the last waypoint, then does another 180 and continues to fly the route. What am I doing wrong?

Is it me or is this missing, I do an IFR plan but leave out the approach, when ATC does give me the approach I end up doing the entire approach since there's no Vector to final.

Just a heads up for people that are experiencing extremely rapid trim control acceleration or the inability to set heading bug, VOR OBS course, Heading Indicator adjustment, ADF compass card adjustment by increments less than 10 degrees with either mouse scroll wheel or single clicking the adjustment knob. There appears to be a bug in how MSFS handles controllers with "always on" toggle switches...i.e. the Honeycomb Alpha Yoke. The behavior is also mimicked if you simply hold down a regular momentary push button type of control input so that it is "active" while you make the adjustment. Good evening, I had a quite enjoyable flight in the DA62 today but i was observing an issue i didn't see until today. In climb and cruise flight there seemed to be some kind of force rolling the plane to the right. Yes, i had quite a strong wind coming from the right side but the problem was still there when flying straight into the wind. I could see almost all the time that the autopilot was working against that momentum as constantly the ailerons were deflected. On short final when disengaging the AP the plane turned to the left and it felt like there was a lot of tension released. Does anyone have an explanation on what might be going on here? Bes…

-, Intel Xeon X5670 - 12gb Ram - RX570 4GB I had no problems loading this game until this day. I can't fly with a flight plan because my game would crash in the loading process but if I try to load a flight without a flight plan it works. Does someone has a fix?

This seems to be working for me Do not preload IR tracker software before flight simulator. Wait until your in the cockpit and then load it. Mine starts up fine and the first time you lock the tracker it will snap back to view reset and then you can slew with your mouse and the view will stay there. Regards

I had a nice flight this morning along the Olympic Peninsula in the C172. I enjoyed flying over an area that I have visited several times and always look forward to seeing. Frame rates were in the low 40's on the High preset using my 9 year old [email protected] and my 1660 Super video card. Not exactly high end hardware but a great experience. Maybe as I get older I stress less about a perfect sim and just enjoy myself. Very glad I purchased it.
