After several days of tinkering, implementing workarounds for bugs (Honeycomb Alpha Yoke exagerated trim, TrackIR 6 sec snap-back, cockpit too dark, home airfield [EPWS] in 300 ft unreal valley with no parking spots to start cold & dark, no 3-display support), preceeded by bringing my computer to my daughter's flat with 300 Mbps internet to download the sim, waiting ages for rolling cache file generation, installing +16 GB RAM and newly acquired used 1070Ti graphics card + overclocking it, removing Honeycomb Alpha Yoke factory-miscalibrated pitch dead zone, setting views, graphics settings, defining and redefining axes and buttons, connecting SkyDemon via XMapsy, read…

I have noticed MSFS is missing tons of checklists, but by far this is one of the most important for multi crew operations ! Use it for your own risk !

Like really, how cheap and half-a**ed can you be. I just landed in Calais and had to look it up. Bing vs Google maps. We are punised with those ugly low res bing maps photos in FS2020. Cut a deal with Google, Microsoft! Your maps are not worth the bits transmitted through the cable! Your map images are so ugly and cheap, they make we want to deinstall FS2020. Google Bing

I am a beginner in flying, so I did not know this is possible. Not sure if this is realistic. I completely switch everything off mid air, even the fuel pump, and apply max flaps and trim. The Icon glides down perfectly stable. Is this realistic? Kind of cool how the prop is still spinning though because of the air flow.

Today I tried use the time compression for the first time, I found shortcut for it (press R, then CTRL +/-) for increasing or decreasing the time speed. That works, but no indication appears, so i don't know, what time compression is actually set. Do someone know, how I can display it? Thx.

Then when a stated a new session the next day it wasn’t in the menu. Where to find the aircraft files on my disk ? the simulator is installed on a disk alone. To reinstall the program do I have to download the complete program (195gib) ? Help will be very much appreciated

When I launch it it gets stuck on 'Press Any Key to Start' You press any key and you get circle of death for a moment and that stops and it says 'Press Any Key to Start' This is a perpetual cycle, anyone know why? Should I wait?

Not sure about you guys. But i was really expecting users tweaking the process to put it in the sim. It's finally here. I'm gonna use it due to the low quality of the imagery in my country. Kudos to the FSDeveloper community! You can find a PDF guide in the following thread. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/guide-how-to-create-custom-aerial-photo-scenery/231783

Hi, I don't know if anyone else has run into this problem, but it someone has, and maybe has a solution, then that would be fantastic. So today I did a flight using the default 787. As I approached the runway for landing, I decided, just for fun, to disable the autopilot a bit earlier than usual (about 10 NM from the runway) in order to try and do a manual landing. However, after disabling the AP and Autothrottle, I was unable to do anything. Pusihing F2 or F3 had no effect whatsoever on throttle. I was not able to steer the aircraft either. It just mantained the same altitude it had prior to disabling the autpilot as if the plane was still "stuck" in some kind …

How many other virtual pilots out there have discovered airports whose tower building is nonexistent? My home field is KPAO, in Palo Alto, CA USA. I've been virtually flying from there for about 20 years, and this is the first version of MSFS I've owned which did NOT have its tower building present. Rather surprised about that omission, figured that if any building should exist at an air field, if it has a tower it should be there. Definitely a bit annoyed about this, but at least the tower does exist as far as the radio is concerned. General editorial: One problem with attempting to create so much detail is that flaws in that detail are that much more jarri…

Has anyone spent any time with this? At some airports, the RNAV glidepath is so low that the GS marker on the G1000 is pegged to the bottom the entire time when flying the Approach. At some others it works OK, and you can fly a coupled LPV landing. Cannot really see any pattern.. Can anyone shed some light on this? 🙂

For years now we've had many triple A gaming titles getting rushed through production in order to meet release dates. Often this would mean the game releases in a terrible state, filled with various game-breaking bugs and annoyances that could have been solved if the developers had more time. Examples of such releases are games like Battlefield 5, Horizon Zero Dawn on PC, No Man's Sky.. etc. Before you say "oh FS2020 is a simulator, it shouldn't be compared to those traditional gaming titles". I strongly disagree, FS2020 is still a game first and foremost. The launch of FS2020 is the epitome of this issue. It's quite clear that despite all the Alpha and …

"ReLaunch Game to Update" 79.9 GB Update... Anyone else seeing this in Content Manager? Is this a placeholder for the upcoming patch or is it supposed to be applied now somehow?

I started out with the standard version on August 19 by creating an Xbox Game Pass account, (first month is only a buck,) and after a 2 or 3 hour download/install I have been happily flying all over the place. I am really pleased with the sim overall. Yesterday, I decided I wanted the full experience, especially the 172 with the steam gauges and the Zlin Shock Ultra, so, I went to the Microsoft Store and plunked down $120 for the Premium Deluxe version. It updated/installed some additional items, (less than 5 Gb worth as far as I could tell,) and when I see My Library is says I own it and that it's installed. But whenever I launch it, I still only have access to t…

There are some things I don't like about the various challenges (or maybe I'm not looking in the right place) For one, it tells you that you're position X (in one challenge I was in 600th place). Is that good or bad? 600 out of 700 total is bad, 600 out of 20k is very good. But the game doesn't tell you this, just says 600th. My suggestion would be to instead of some arbitrary meaningless number like "you're in position 9000th" it should show a graph similar to the distribution of IQ scores and your position. That way you would be able to strive at getting better than the average, rather than getting better than the listed top 10 on the whole internet who have …

Too many trees on the mountains is an old topic, but nobody taks about grass, green grass everywhere on vertical surfaces above 2000 meters, grass doesn't grow there... It also makes it difficult to identify landmarks.

I've been tweaking the graphics settings and I've discovered something that is rather surprising. Please note this might have the opposite effect on your system. I have a factory over-clocked system (4.5 ghz) which is pretty mid range nowadays, and a 1080ti .I am not running 4k, but 1080. Nor am I running any rolling cache, bing map data or photogrammetry, so if you are running these your results might be completely different. I've been flying for days now with render scaling down and a lot of detail wound down, thinking that this will produce better fps and smoother motion. But today I started from a very low base then began adding more detail on some of the sliders…

Good morning from Colorado, Have tried (unsuccessfully) to get the expected results using real weather. In fact, yesterday we had some low overcast in the Ft Collins and Loveland areas and very high / gusty winds. That said, I loaded the C172 in a parking spot at KFNL (Northern Colorado Regional Airport) here in Loveland using real weather, at the current time. Once the sim loaded, there wasn't a cloud in the sky and the winds were less than 3 knots. In anyone having any luck getting real weather when using the "Real Weather" selection? Mike

I purchased KORS via the ingame marketplace earlier today. It downloaded and decompressed, and then got stuck on "waiting" for about an hour. The MSFS task became non-responsive. After ending it, I ran MSFS again, but now it gets stuck on the "checking for updates" screen at the beginning of the launch process. I tried running it as Administrator too, but no joy. Any ideas? I then tried deleting the folder from the MSFS content folder, and redownloaded it via the ingame content manager. It downloaded successfully, but the moment I restart MSFS it gets stuck on “checking for updates” again. Any ideas?

I just installed the Premium DeLuxe edition but to my surprise I see that its content is missing! For example, I don´t have the B787, Baron, etc., that is I have installed the Standard edition and not the Premium DeLuxe. Yet in the content manager it shows that I own the Premium DeLuxe edition but in the content manager I see for example that the Baron (and all the additional aircraft and airports) does not show the version and no size! I read the FAQ at MSFS but I found nothing that solves this issue. Any ideas? Thanks!
