Oh dear, reminds me of my FSX days. I hope this will get fixed. I have been flying across Canada in the 172... for the most part it is OK, apart from the known Live weather issues, and other bugs. But I have been getting crashes to desktop. The sim freezes, and crashes. So unstable for a game in 2020... I hope they fix this. My comp is not a slouch, Ryzen 5 3600, 5700XT, 32 gbs ram, 75MBPS internet. Any one else getting these crashes?

  2. So decided to try some high temp off field landings the other day and found an interesting bug in the Death Valley area. Lets just say that it is deadly if you are not expecting it. Not sure what is causing it but it was quite surprising. It may be best to just show you, check this out and give it a try for yourself, and let me know what you think!

  3. Hello all, With the amount of add-ons beginning to ramp up on for MSFS, I'm wondering if there's a centralized place to see what's available, links for purchase/download, and reviews for said content? Keeping up with all of the threads on each project will probably become unsustainable soon. I know back in high school, when I first got interested in flight simulation (then fell off until recently), I used the AVSIM library, but it doesn't seem to have any FS2020 content, and I'm assuming it'll be mostly centered around small free-ware projects anyways, which is great too, but won't be a complete picture of the available add-ons.

Good evening fellow simmers, So taking the DA62 out for a flight today i noticed that my scenery objects such as trees and buldings are loading very slow and looking low res and somewhat blocky. As i never had this issue before i assume this might be related to server loads or my internet connection being somewhat slow today? Could this be the cause? I didnt change any settings too... Any hint appreciated, Tom

  5. Went sightseeing in Ireland last night and landed at EINN (Shannon Airport) which is a pretty big airport. To their credit, the runways are there and the ILS worked, but once you land the issues are glaring. Taxiways are these large almost runway width strips, there are no ground services and no parking or gates. The area has spots that look like they should be terminal buildings but the aprons have a texture with flat airliners on them. This isn't some small bush strip, it's a large airport.

In the few flights that I have done so far I feel as though the clouds don't look like I've seen online and in videos. Is there a setting to make them look thicker and realistic? To me they have just looked like what they do in P3d so I am guessing I have a setting turned down. Also, regarding graphics, is there a setting to make the graphics look crisper? I'll be honest, outside of having vector data appear accurate, the graphics don't look as realistic as I have seen online as well. I am sure it is either my PC or my settings, but just thought I would check to see what I can look for to make things look a little better. Much of what I have seen almost looks lik…

Please excuse my ignorance, I have never been involved in the launch of a new sim. However, I was thinking... I know we all want the best performance now and the reason for all the tweaks floating around. However, if and when an official update is made, if one is not cataloging the changes one is doing and or reverts to the default might there be unintended consequences when the official update is released? And then possibly people complaining about the patch/update making things worse? Just a thought, any ideas are welcomed!

Ive had it with MSFS2020 cities. Excluding those manually worked, the rest are a poor experience. Buildings where there arent any, different shapes, trees, parks missing. If you dont know the city you are fine, but cities you know well are very unpleasant to fly over and see nothing similar to the real thing. In the Tileproxy days, I disabled autogen buildings and trees and felt better that way, even with a flatten world. Cause the trees and buildings are there in the tileproxy google or Bing Maps, all the trees/buildings exactly as in real, but because they are flatten you just see roofs/top. At least all is in the correct place. Unless they are …

If I go to Manage My Content, it shows a 79GB update pending, and says Restart MSFS to Install, or something similar. So I’ve tried restarting It, and even rebooting the pc, but to no avail. What gives with the message?

  11. First freeware for PNG 👏 made placing autogen objects and modiyfing terrain. It looks good from the screenshots. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/freeware-airport-ayyz-yambaitok-aistrip-in-papua-new-guinea/220260 A good news ! I had opened Blender for the first time yesterday and imported a PNG house I made a couple of years ago in Sketchup . There maybe no need for that. The autogen is rather realistic even if it is not as quaint as Orbx wonderful huts. A not so good news from another thread is that Wanema, the hub for West Papua is missing. Wanema approach is dangerous and there are regularly 737 accidents. I checked with Bing, the area is under …

Hi All, I have a Joystick with a Throttle when the the Throttle is at idle in the Airbus the reverse thrusts are on continuously on how do I calibrate this so that when they are at idle the reverse thrusts are not on and I can just use the keyboard for the reverse thrusts. I have set it up for engine 1 and 2 so they work together just need to get this sorted as its frustrating thats all. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you all as always. Daz

  14. I fly the Textron/Cessna C152 almost all the time. When I tune an ILS frequency (or VOR) - everything works as it should and I can follow the beam to a nice landing. However - if I press the NAV1 (or 2) speaker button I hear the Morse code signal, which I use to verify I am tuned to the ILS transmitter I want. BUT - I can find no way to stop the infernal beeping of the Morse signal! Pressing / Holding / Double tapping either NAV speaker button does NOT stop the beeping even though pressing the same button turns the beeping ON. The only way to stop the beeping is to change the frequency so I am no longer receiving the signal. But, if I tune back to…

Leaving all the issues, bugs and general grumbles aside I've discovered one rather useful application for FS2020... As I'm also interested in train simming and still build the odd route, putting together a flight plan in Plan-G and then overflying the railway at low altitude gives a real feel for the terrain and scenery. You can't really get that from Google, even Streetview because building a route you are actually using the "God" view most of the time above the ground.

I want to be able to leave the external camera in plane and roam the terrain. For instance, I want to view around airport for runways or go into the city in downtown NYC. I’ve seen it in a video before.

Is there a way to add all the airports that are used in FSEconomy to MFS? Too many are missing, most of the military ones and they aren't even small, some others are named differently, sometimes there's just a control tower in the sim with a grass field, sometimes the airport's satellite image is correct even if blurry, but I'd like to be able to get there by gps instead of guesstimating the position by looking at google maps and the ingame vfr map.

I tried some ils landing with autopilot, I was able to select runway inside the GPS, approach, everything, I hit APR when near the airport, it starts following the glideslope and then I take control as soon as I see the runway, in the TBM, 208 and A320. PERFECT But the day after that, I can't get anything to appear in the procedure selection menu inside the GPS. I create a flight plan in the sim or inside the GPS, but when I try to select runway or approach, the buttons don't work, and I have -------- for runway, approach and transition, some buttons do work but I get in another menu showing load and activate, but none of the buttons work. Help, I want to fly IFR …

  20. Well, in way this is kind of cool but in other obvious ways it was very bad. I mapped my joystick last night and did a test flight this morning. I got most of it correct except I accidentally put a negative axis into my throttle control which I don't think it was actually needed. So when I throttle back it engages engine reverse. I set my test circuit at SLC and took off uneventfully. Other then my joystick being way over sensitive it was working properly. However as I climbed 1000' above AGL and raised the flaps I throttled back. However when I did so the engines started making a horrible sound I don't want to hear again and the plane instantly stalled and dived a…

Hi, I'm a relatively new simmer. I was flying the A320neo in MSFS and i noticed on takeoff, my EGT would keep redlining at TO/GA and the plane would reduce power. This only occurs however in live weather in warmer climates, and when I try to mimic the conditions of that airport with the custom weather the EGT is fine and I'm able to sustain TO/GA Has anyone else experienced this? Its really annoying to either have to hold the engines at 90% or change the weather manually before take off. Airports it has happened to me: KRNO KSUN KGPI KJAC KCYS KSLC KDEN (all back to back)

Hi, I have installed Flight Sim through Windows Store (I wish I had purchased through steam now) and when I installed I selected to install it to my Games Drive (F), however I noticed today that my C drive was a bit low on space and when I checked I have found that while it has installed a few files to my F drive (about 1gb of files), the other 100gb of files are on my C drive (in c:\users\<username>\appdata\...\Packages\Official). Does anyone know if its possible to move these files (or install in a different way)? Thanks, Gavin,

  24. As we all know, the default A320 has several issues, many of them related to MFS' general autopilot simulation. In a flight I had to do do for a guide I write for the German gaming website GameStar, I had to fly from Denver to San Diego. I know this route from past flights with X-Plane (in Toliss' A319), so planning etc. was easy. After two failed attempts yesterday, today 90% of the flight in MFS went fine today -- until MFS crashed near San Diego and I had to restart. So these are the lessons learned (and they may differ for you ... unpredictability is a key issue I have with MFS' airliners currently): 1. Always plan the flight completly on the world map. Pret…

Now the problems starts ! When I start the FS2020 it just comes up with a messagebox that my computer does NOT meet the minimun requerements ! But how can I found out WHAT it is that don't meet the requerements ? It's a little expensive to just start changing units one by one to find out. OK; my graphic card need to be changed to a GeForce GTX 970 And this: But will it run with this ?
