Hello everyone, I own the Pro Flight Cessna Yoke by Saitek. I've bought MFS 2020 but when it comes to customize the settings of the yoke the sim doesn't recognize it. I never had any problem before, Xplane and other sim recognize my yoke without any problem. It's really annoying! What can I do? Find a image to this link https://ibb.co/wLptT5Q Sorry if my english is bad, i'm italian :D

I was in San Francisco and thought I'd take a look to the west to see if an old, familiar landmark was there. Unsurprisingly, the carrier is nowhere to be found. I started in FS-5.1 and it was there right through FSX/P3D.

I like to save 3 or 4 views outside, that I can then cycle through. How do I do that? I'm assuming if I use the Ctr. Alt 1....2.....3 command it will obviously overwrite my saved cockpit views.

  7. vLegion_Today at 2:23 AM According to support the next Patch be announced on the 27th, this can already be seen in-game with the core content pack ready and waiting in the Content Manager. The Pack will not install yet because the game itself needs to be update first before it will take the update pack so wait until the patch drops. Yes it will be a huge download again. Time when the patch will drop is not know yet. Also VERY IMPORTANT! If you use custom Liveries or Custom made scenery, best thing to do is before installing the patch and the core content pack move all your custom content such as custom liveries, custom scenery, mods etc from your community folder t…

Reinstalled on another PC and to my delight the sim found all my previous 'stick settings and even has a record of the places I'd flown in the Yosemite bush flights. I understand these things are saved online (along with my inside leg measurement, I bet...) - But I've lost all my progress - over halfway. Any ideas if there is a file or folder I can copy over from the old installation to recover that? Thanks.

  9. Guess you can track AI planes in / around the current Hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico and they have the same call sign as the real NOAA planes currently active in the area. NOAA42 P-3 Orion and others reporting tracking NOAA43 / NOAA49 in the same area. Now this is pretty neat!!! I know bad pic

  10. Started by Agrajag,

My install of FS was rock-solid (other than the known bugs). I had no stutters, etc. I then remembered I own FaceTrackNoIR and decided to give it a shot with FS. I reinstalled it and ran FS. I suddenly had a myriad of issues. My Alpha yoke vanished from Controls. I also suddenly had a TrackIR entry there even though I didn't think FaceTrackNoIR installed anything (I actually couldn't get it to operate my webcam so I gave up on it). I noticed flying in FS was extremely sluggish. Terrain loaded slowly. The King Air panels would update slowly (planes would ZIP like rockets from point A to point B to catch up when I'd return to the cockpit view). The props spun in a jerky fas…

  11. This may be an unpopular opinion, and the word not allowed are going to pour hate on me, but I'll put it out there anyway: Real-World Flying is full of critical flaws and should never have been released in its current state. Right off the bat, control assignments are a joke. There's a single default control configuration. No custom key assignments. No sensitivity adjustment. And I wasn't able to get a single one of my existing controllers to work. What were the devs smoking? Did anyone actually ever try to use this sorry excuse for a sim? Next up: Weather. Incredibly, there's exactly one weather theme. One! Admittedly, it evolves dynamically and seems reasonably…

  12. With release only a week away, it's time to get a thread going where we can post current weather events that might be interesting to check out in MSFS. From what we've seen in the Alpha & Beta, tropical storms expecially are big multiplayer events with lots of people gathering at nearby airports to experience the dramatic visuals and effects in their airplanes. The 2020 Atlantic Hurricane Season is forecasted to become a very strong season, with potentially lots of named storms due to very warm water temperatures in the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico. As we discuss events here, please be mindful that whatever weather we will see in the sim in the coming weeks w…

  13. I have a four year old system and wasn't sure if I'd be able to run FS2020 on it at all, much less as anything other than a slide show. I did need to upgrade my video card just to get it to install and run, but otherwise I was pleasantly surprised by the performance. I was able to set the graphics to medium and still have a very smooth flight except for those occasional annoying stutters. On my system it quickly became apparent that the stutters were due to the hard drive being over taxed. the drive was constantly at 100% usage and when the I/O queue also hit 100% then the system would stutter and pause while waiting on the HD. Since I have a gigabit internet connection (…

Maybe I just missed it in the key command chart but for the life of me I can't figure out how to open the door? In previous sims it was Shift E or something like that. Just completed a flight from RNO to ELK. It has been a long time since I flown into ELK for real but from what I was seeing in the simulator it was fairly convincing and I am on low settings because of my old PC!

  18. Started by BMWK1200R,

Been pouring over this for hours. I am positive that I solved it. I have had multiple hour(s) long flights thus far where I was only going about 10 min before the silent CTD. It was my XMP profile in my BIOS settings. I purchased this memory for my new system: Patriot Viper Steel Series DDR4 4400MHz Performance Memory Kit - PVS416G440C9K (x2) for 32 gig total running XMP 2 profile. This is on a MSI MEG ACE Z390 mainboard. XMP 1 runs at 4394MHz and XMP 2 runs at 4264MHz. My system was unstable for most uses at XMP 1 and even at XMP 2 - which I had been running seemed *mostly* stable. Ghost Recon was also randomly crashing and it was driving me nuts. This cha…

  19. Started by Kronzky,

I created a gauge hack that allows you to show Simvar values in your cockpit. In order to do that I've abused the radio stack in the 152 — not ideal, but better than nothing for now... ;) The demo setup in the video is showing the yoke, rudder & brake values in the top stack, and the throttle, rpm and altitudes in the bottom (but, of course you can put in any variables you want). You can download it from here.

I understand Blackshark.ai assumes from Bing maps that what has green color is vegetaion, brownish is earth and buildings, however... they wrongly assume buildings cover the whole terrain of a city. This is wrong. Once thing perceived from the air in a real flight over my town Buenos Aires, is that EVERY single house has a pool (its a standard in this city) however no pools are depicted in the sim (or gardens) the fill it with buildings. Surely the logarythm should distinctive water from concrete or grass? Hope in future sims we'll see complete volumetric photography from high altitude to street level, "one volume of atmosphere plus land, one photo"

  21. My specs: Intel 8600K 1070ti 16GB 2400mhz (15) Settings on high with Vsync (fps limit 60) and 1080p All tests were done with the Diamond DA62 I get around between 39 to 48 fps in most, lets say normal average cities and the same in the outskirts. On JFK Airport in New York, just loading the game and staying in cockpit view (the first runway) I get 20 FPS and after waiting about 1 minute, when everything has loaded in I get 28 to 30 fps. Starting and flying over the airport to the right, it gets down to 18-20 fps and after the airport instantly 30fps, getting up to about 2000 - 3000 feet I get good 35 to 40 fps, even over New York. I tried basically…

I've seen a lot of conflicting information posted, regarding having a zero cache to eliminate stutters, to having a huge cache to improve FPS... Has any documented testing been done on this and if so what's the recommended cache size (0- 1 terabyte...)?
