Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Is there anyway to disable the instrument and switch labels when the mouse hovers over them?

Haven't seen much talk about the 787, maybe since it's the max $$$ package. Anyway, anyone else with it notice really poor FPS? I can get a solid 28-30+ in ever other aircraft including 320 and 747 on the ground even in poor weather with traffic at big airports like EGLL. The 787 turns into a dog, like a PMDG in FSX but without all the nice system modeling. Same ground conditions drops to occasional 23-24fps lows, and it doesn't get better when in the air so it seems to definitely be the plane and not a combo of plane and ground stuff like some of the other aircraft.

It looks very amateur hour. Hope they fit it. I've also seen several beaches that should be sand covered in a flat green texture like shrubbery.

I made a flight plan from kttd to kmlt. I selected position 10 at kttd to start the Cessna King Air 350i, but when I selected fly, it had me at runway 25 ready to go. I don't like to start on the runways, I like to startup myself and taxi. Then when I was close to kmlt atc told me to fly the approach to runway 14. I did that, but the the autopilot wouldn't go to the first waypoint of the approach. I ended up turning off the autopilot and lining up for the approach manually.

There are a few minor issues I have found with MFS2020, like the twitchiness of the controllers, problems with the drone camera controlling my elevator, etc. I am sure these will get ironed out rather quickly. The main issue I have is the triangular building blotches in the distance when approaching a city. I have no issue with the building colour or lack of detail from distance but surely they can get the general shape correct so they don't all look like triangles. I hope they can improve it.

Is there a way to convert FSX/P3D scenery to work in FS2020?

Hello, I'm looking for suggestions on which MEDIUM PRICED AMD CPU you would recommend. All of the AMD CPU's recommended on search pages seem to be outdated.

I wonder if the MFD refresh rates can be lowered as they seem to be the foremost frame killer in the 747/230. When the screens are turned off and black the frames go up from 30 to over 40 for example.

Hi all I used to be a real hard core simmer from FS98 all the way up to FSX. I also bought X-plane11 which I liked a lot, but at some point I fell out of love with the whole flight simming thing and eventually the day came when I un-installed both FSX-SE and X-plane. not sure if there is a graphic setting but is there a setting that makes the blue sky slightly darker without darkening the whole screen

Ever since installing MSFS2020, if I access the C:\Users\***\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\... location, I get a windows notification suggesting I backup my file encryption certificate and key. Is this normal? What is gained/lost by doing this?

To give it an element of further realness (and to keep audio levels down in the house with a sleeping baby), I would love for us to both wear headsets, use the audio mode where cabin noise is simulated lower, and comms are louder, and where she and I can talk to each other. Hi all, Getting my head around the A320 and have just completed a nice flight from EGKK-LIRF. Having just pulled up to the gate and shut down, I'd like to set up for the return sector. Is there any shortcut or way to do this without going back out to the main flight plan page (globe) and starting again? Thanks!

I can only get about 80% power in my C172. I have calibrated both my Logitech Extreme and VirtualFly TQ6+. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks. MSFS 2020 Store and Steam Windows 10

It shouldn't be so difficult for Asobo/Meteoblue to make the snow fall in slow motion (as it is) and not in super speed like bullets fired from a dogfight. By falling slowly it would even help fps and cpu resources Lets put this on the list

Hi, Don't have TREES on Ultra. There will be trees in the sim where there are not trees. I have TREES at Low. Same for GRASSES AND BUSHES. With BUILDINGS on Medium, they are better. Spend some time adjusting these until the sim becomes closer to your known landscape. Cheers.

Hello, I have noticed that, the resolution of the photogrammetry building will only increase if I am in very short distance from these buildings, you can see this photo to know what I mean: You can see the buildings resolution is low, it only gets better if I get really close. Does somebody know which settings that can improve this?

Live activity on the currently selected airport is shown in UTC which is not indicated anywhere (you need to compare FS and RW). This is unnecessarily confusing to users, even more so to new ones which the sim admittedly tries to attract. As an example, on any Central Europe airport a flight listed as expected at 15:30 will effectively arrive at 17:30 only. No need to stand by and watch. Not that it wouldn't happen in real life, though 🙂 Am I missing something or wouldn't it be much easier for everyone if Live activity showed arrivals and departes in local time, just like any arrival/departures screen at the airport does?

Every 2 to 3 times that I fly FS2020, my Logitech/Saitek Yoke becomes uncalibrated. When in the neutral position, it shows about 7% deflection of roll to the left.
