Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I’m pretty much a US west coast dweller and I never really venture out of that area. Since the weather in the US is broken right now can you guys recommend any fun European flights I can do in the Tbm( my favorite plane in the sim)

Anyone else experiencing that the reversers on the Neo are WAY too powerful? Like "defying the laws of physics" powerful? I've done a few landings now, and everytime I engage reverse thrust the aircraft just slams to a stop and starts going backwards. The rollout is maybe 50 feet or something. Completely unrealistic and not physically possible in the real world. I just want to see if others are seeing the same thing before I file a bug report.

Seems a lot of places are out of stock. I plan on pre-ordering one and have them ship it when it becomes available. Can someone please recommend me of a reputable shop that I can order from?

My AI co-pilot is on strike for the second day in a raw! I only let me him to handle the radio, but he refuses to do so ! Obviously restarting PC and MSFS won't make him any happier! What gives? Anyone has experienced similar problem? Any idea how to fix it? Thanks in advance!

Techspot did an extensive set of benchmarks running on an ryzen 9 3950X with 16-cores and 32 threads. They tested about 30 graphics cards ranging from a GTX 1650 to a 2080 Ti. What I find most interesting is this statement Looking at the benchmark numbers - it appears the CPU(s) are the limiting factor. At 1080p in Ultra mode there is no practical difference in frame rate between the 2080 and 2080 Ti (45 and 47 average). And, in Medium mode there is no difference between a 1080 and a 2080 Ti (65 abd 66 average) Can anyone verify that they never see more than 4-cores under heavy load while running FS 2020?

I just figured out today that when I switch camera views, or if I move my mouse across two screens (MFS on one screen, other stuff on the other) that the yoke moves - elevator). I check my mouse control assignments and it does not have any assigned. Also when I toggle the drone on my yoke (nothing else assigned in a profile) I get a massive pitch up to the point of the aircraft doing a loop. any ideas what is causing this or is is a known bug?

Just curious what the response time is for retail customers? Anyone know?

other than the "Development update" on the 20th, has Asobo communicated any release date for upcoming patches or hotfixes??

How do use the drone so I can see the cities etc? I found the drone menu under camera but I can’t seem to get off the ground and view the scenery. Thanks.

I have to start with a clean PC, I just want to make sure i can re download FS2020, i bought it through The Windows Store. I'm going to format my whole drive. Start over.Will I be able to redownload FS2020?

Seem a lot of user are having the Hard Drift when landing or takeoff . I have the Thrustmaster Warthog , using Saitek rudder pedals , I am currently facing this hard drive left when landing . I manage to land centerline then I get this hard drift left that pulls the aircraft to the left drastically , when trying to correct this it gets even worst it lift from one side. Doesn't matter the weather .

What is the setting that controls night lights? I want to leave these at ULTRA and everything else, cloud texture, shadows, sea, trees, bushes, buildings, ground, reduce to medium. will performance increase if in the dark out eyes cant see them?

Hi, Can someone tell me approximately how much data they are using, per session, with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 steaming from the cloud? I realise this depends on where you are flying and will never be an exact number. I have a data cap of 70Gb a month of which I currently use approx 40 – 50 Gb. Realisticly, can I expect 30 – 40 Gb to be enough for maybe 20 hours of flight time? Bazzer

Sorry I can't contain my excitement and my girlfriend couldn't care less so I have to tell someone but I finally got this sim running smooth as silk. Like many, I have tried all kinds of suggestion to eliminate stutters and pauses. No matter what I did my i7-6700K was constantly pushing 100% usage while my 2070 Super card just sat there. I have seen the posts regarding hyperthreading and like an word not allowed just assumed it was already enabled. I checked my bios and nope there is was disabled. Enabling hyperthreading and now I have a sim buttery smooth on almost all ultra settings. I went from debating going back to P3D to I can't wait for what the future holds just l…

The live weather option usually works upon first starting the game and a flight. But if I quit that flight and start another one, live weather stops working. Anyone experienced that issue?

I went ahead and created rolling cache. Do I have to have terrain and object detail turned all the way up for it to be high or will it just load those high if I’m still at 100 rather than 200?

I copied the WORKING KEYBOARD i use for Airbus Neo and renamed a new keyboard Dreamliner 787. So I have default/787/Neo. But.....the copied 787 keyboard doesnt seem to be acknowledged when I select the 787 to fly. Am I going to have to Manually enter each button like I did the NEO even though everything is copied like I want it?

For those with G-Sync, in NCP do you select anything in vertical sync option ? Currently i leave it to off and in-game also off. Is this the correct way G-Sync working right ? Thank you !

I am trying to get used to the default camera for moving around the VC. I am used to Chaseplane so I was wondering if there were any tutorials on how to pan around freely using my hat switch and the other buttons on my Thrustmaster T1600 to set default views. Thanks!

with the setup you guys have currently for FS2020 if you could go back today and rebuild your system what configuration would you pick ???
