Hi everyone, I'd love to hear others experiences using the glass panels for IFR and approach, particularly in the GA aircraft. I've been doing hops around Ireland and the UK in the 172 (I'm honestly staggered by the weather depiction and detail). Everything has worked perfectly on the G1000, even editing the FPL, changing approach etc. Apart from a few glitches with the ATC everything worked well. The TBM, Beech and Caravan all seem to be have very buggy panels on the other hand. Just don't seem to work right at all, I've had weird display issues and they sometimes won't accept data at all. Pretty much gave up. Are these 'known issues' or 'just me'? …

Has anyone successfully landed at PARO with the A320? It seems almost impossible to do. If you somehow make it to the runway (which is very difficult to do), it looks like it is necessary to deploy the spoilers to get the A320 slowed down, but I can't get the spoilers to work. Has anyone been able to do that? BTW, PARO is supposed to be one of the most difficult airports to land at in the world and I believe it! Thanks,

Why? Because learning lessons from P3D, keeping everything patched and updated was a nightmare. The marketplace notifies you and it's so easy to install and patch.

1) There being no coherent transition between model data ( suposedly feed from Meteoblue ) and observation data ( METAR ) whose source we don't know for sure but could also be Meteoblue. In it's present state MFS is not providing overall acceptable accuracy / matching between METAR data for a given airfield and what the simulator "puts" there as real world weather... There can sometimes be acceptable matches at certain times and places, but most of the time there's mismatch between METAR and Temp, Wind, Visibility, Cloud cover, etc... as reflected in the sim; 2) There is no way to set prevailing visibility when manually setting weather, and there's no docum…

Hello Everyone. Call me crazy but I've decided to start a 'round the world' adventure. This will not be a race but a discovery and sightseeing trip. It is based partly on “the big tour” by Mr. Lew Dow but I modified it for my purpose. It should comprise a little more than 700 Legs which will cover more than 100,000 Nm! I've already done about 1/3 of it previously on Xplane but I am completely redoing it in MSFS 2020. I am recording all the legs on Youtube as a record and proof I am doing it. The motivation behind it is that it is something i would have loved to do in real life. I hope also that the people who might watch it can get an idea of how …

Hi all, Despite turning down the sensitivity and playing with the dead zones I still find the Saitek Yoke elevators to be rather horrendous that makes landing almost impossible..it's like a tiny twitch up and down and the whole aircraft is all over the place. Is anyone having issues with this? I wonder if it reflects the wider issues with the Saitek Yoke that is well known that some people fix by taking it apart and adjusting the bands...for FSX I remember being able to adjust something in my fsx.cfg that changes the logic a bit to fix. Any suggestions?

I have never tried flying into a storm in reallife so I cannot compare the realism but the lightning effect in FS2020 bugs me. The lightning strikes are far too many, and also the fadeout of the light flash seems way too slow to me. It's a minor complaint really but it just drives me nuts when I'm giving myself a good challenge by setting up a storm to fly in.

Am I imagining things or is there a plausible ground effect in this sim? I remember it always used to be an issue and topic of discussions in the past, not a single mention so far after a brief search.

https://github.com/wpine215/msfs-a320neo Great to see this. In the developer live stream they said they weren’t going to take the planes much further in terms of depth and that they feared letting people mod the aircraft bc someone could make a hover craft out of one and win the landing challenge. Please don’t take that route, Asobo! These visually incredible aircraft could be taken to amazing levels of system depth if the community has access. Excited to see how far an a320 project like this gets, although, Asobo is still updating the aircraft so that kind of dual uncoordinated development seems like a recipe for issues.

Would anyone know if the 2 passenger views be assigned to buttons on the joystick for the A320?. Its listed as Fixed camera 12 and 13 under showcase from the drop down toolbar, but there is no option for these 2 under fixed camera or external camera in the controller setup? The only way I can see it being done is to swap views in the Camera.cfg file, but I dont know which views are what🥺 Thanks Chris

I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere but I have found that you can 'pop-out' seemingly any screen within an aircraft cockpit and move it to a separate monitor, I have been using this a decent amount. The below image is what happens if you pop out multiple screens at the same time, they all get added to the additional window, however these screens can be further put into their own separate window by pressing the middle icon in the white bar across the top of each screen. Happy flying! EDIT: I managed to forgot to mention *how* to actually pop the displays out, hold your right control key, and then with your mouse cursor click on the screen you…

For years i have flown very little else than FSL A320 and PMDG NG and 748F but after watching this am happy to start putting all that aside to enjoy flights like this. Its breathtaking. The lighting, the weather, the views the atmosphere its all another world.........and the rain fronts.......The best video I've watched. Its could take a long time to just enjoy the UK.

Never heard of this thing until MSFS 2020 and I skipped over it numerous times because it just looked like a silly toy in the thumbnail.. So I decided to finally fly it tonight and my expectations were pretty low as these ultralight style aircraft are usually lacking the "it factor" for me. But holy cow.. This little bugger performs, and it has a top notch avionics package packed into this little tiny thing. If you're into low and slow VFR but want all the feel and comfort of a glass cockpit with some nostalgia of steam also.. This is the bird for you.. This is like the perfect middle ground for me between digital and analog..

Ok, so I think for now it's better to use the generic AI (optimized, fictional models), as it saves performance and having only A320s and 747s as traffic is not much better. While it's rather easy to include real liveries when going with the regular (non optimized) traffic (either by overwriting the traffic liveries or by setting "usable by traffic" =1 in your aircraft.cfg), I haven't found out how to, or see anybody replace the generic traffic liveries. But it can't bee too hard. Is anybody else on this?

Hi all. I tried the first three tutorials but none of them seem to be working properly. The first one starts with Captain Whatshername presenting herself and mentions the nice scenery. There is some info about views. When I look around there is a popup saying that "3" resets the view. After a few tries that is button three on my stick. The sim indicates that the copilot is flying. Then... nothing. No voice or text instructions. The aircraft is flying around Sedona airport(?), makes altitude and heading changes but no voice or text instructions. Am I missing something or do others see the same thing?

Hi guys, Sorry if this has been asked already. I’ve decided to try the game out with 1 month Game pass. Was on a random stroll in the marketplace, and found out the premium deluxe upgrade there is cheaper (HKD$659) compared with purchasing it from microsoft store (HKD$799). Just wondering, does it mean I own the game if I purchase the upgrade? Do do i need an active game pass subscription to play? Thanks :)

I find FS2020 a lot more difficult to find IFR information than FSX but you can download real world UK charts for free from the link below which helps a lot. FS2020 even has a lot of the approach procedures built into the navigation so flying them is even easier. You can find a lot of free charts for other countries online if you do some digging, I did find the french equivalent some time ago but cant remember where I found it now. It's great to have the PDF open on an iPad or print the ones off that you need ais.org.uk (should get redirected to http://www.nats-uk.ead-it.com/public/index.php.html) Select eAIPP Package If you want to download the entire f…
