  1. There is indeed a lot of variation among operators. The company which I'm most familiar with leaves it to pilot discretion.
  2. Practice purposes mostly. Also, SOP varies by airline. DLH requires manual thrust with AP off, whereas BAW forbids it and so on.
  3. Interesting, 'cause they don't seem to have this one for 2020...
  4. It's a funny display of how language and its semantics are re-interpreted by each generation.
  5. They've got a huge team, it's mass production essentially, just like with the A350.
  6. Maybe this will survive if it's a Marketplace release unlike Fenix?
  7. It's well known by now that the PMDG classics originate from the JF project, which they took over.
  8. I think BATC is the overall winner at this point. SI is bloaty as heck and has not fixed bugs/inaccuracies. I'll get a couple of these once their feature sets are semi-stable in like 2030 or something.
  9. I was surprised to see we still have two active in Europe.
  10. I was wondering by the way, how is it that entities like JF need not ask permission to use real liveries in their traffic addon, but ms do?
  11. Some procedures like this still exist, mostly in the USA. They don't have you track the glide, though.
  12. Exactly this for DLH. This policy is for commonality with the 744 fleet, but it also helps maintain flying skill. And yes I know some 744 operators now apparently allow the autothrust to be kept in for landing.
  13. I really need to try this!
  14. Was the Bay departure a charted procedure?
