Hi folks, totally new to flight sim and have been given a yoke, rudder pedals, quadrant, 3 instrument panels, switch panel, radio panel, and a multi panel. All Saitek from some time ago. I think I have set them up properly but that may not be the case as I can take off in the Cessna 152 and climb to 5500ft but then the plane turns left and basically goes crazy. Any ideas from the experts? Ta!

A tribute to commercial aviation. The more it went on, the more and more hairs stood up on the back of my neck! All taken in MSFS. Even the old news reels have been redone with just new titles by the looks of it. So much talent.

Seeing that the Global AI Ship Traffic version for MSFS2020 is coming out ( I had the earlier version working in MSFS already) got me thinking about some other cool utilities I had in P3D. One I really miss is the random bird "traffic" that could be generated in the vicinity of your plane. Rather than have to travel to a specific location, it would be nice to have that sort of utility in MSFS. In the US buzzards and canadian geese would be a great start.....

I find entire marinas, surrounded by ten-foot high rock breakwaters, below the sea surface, e.g. Kingston Marina / Kingston Washington on Puget Sound in USA, and have been reporting the problem to Microsoft since mid-October. In Punta Gorda, FL the Interstate-75 six-lane freeway bridge is under the Peace River on both ends for about 200-yards as are the two three lane Highway 41 bridges over Charlotte Harbor. In San Diego, CA the harborside pedestrian foot path bridges are underwater as are all the docks on Harbor Island. All of these objects are on tidal waters represented by nominal sea levels. Many other users have reported this problem in a variety of locatio…

Went to fly today after not touching this thing in the last 2 weeks other than to install updates and my rudder is going spastic on the TBM and Longitude. Impossible to fly. Any idea’s what’s going on here. I unplugged my Bravo and Alpha but didn’t fix the problem. Thanks for any help!

First off.....disclaimer..... This a huge step change in flight sims and I have enjoyed every minute of it since first released. It even runs acceptably well on my old i7 system with a 1050 video card ( yes it does stutter in photo realistic big cities ) However....I live on the SE coast of Texas where we have lots of palm trees... If Asobo can differentiate between grass, bushes, and trees. Is it not possible to create palm trees ?? Make them all the same size and height.... don't care. But a palm tree is radically different in appearance from most other trees. And if photogammetry is activated, you get a rectangular block where the tree should be.....Now h…

Several aiplanes, like the (FBW) A320, (WT) CJ4 and aircraft equipped with the (WT) G3000, are able to autotune the IlS frequency if the respective approach is selected within the avionics system (FMS, MCDU or G3000). This works for stock airports but NOT for the majority of third party aiports, where you have to tune the ILS frequency manually. It works, but that’s not the way these aircraft are meant to be operated. I'm not an expert, but I was able to learn from FSDT's Umberto here and here that the autotune capabilty of an ILS seems to be doable once you know the deal, yet until today most 3rd-party airports ship without it. So the question is - and I raised the …

Is there a way or mod to make the copilot visible inside the cockpit? I realise the model isn't animated and isn't meant to be seen from up close, but i still feel like seeing a rudimentary copilot would give a sense of scale and direction I'm somewhat missing in a completely empty cockpit.

I have a Precision Flight Controls ("PFC") "Cirrus" model yoke that, while recognized, is basically uncontrollable in MSFS. It works perfectly in P3D v4,5. Perhaps unrelated, I have a similar vintage PFC pedal set which is also recognized and works perfectly. Both the yoke and the pedals are recognized and behaving as be properly calibrated in Win 10 game controller. I have, but not yet installed, a paid version of Pollypot. I've never used it before so have no idea if/how it works. Has anyone gotten their PFC yoke product working in MSFS? If so, can you tell me how you accomplished this? Many thanks, Brian Vancouver, Can…

After much struggling, I finally got photogrammetry to join in today. So, I took the obligatory trip over London, just to check it was all working. After ascertaining that it was, I decided to have a look at the photogrammetry somewhere a little more picturesque. A trip around Bristol seemed just the ticket, so, after a brief fly around, I decided to check out Clifton Suspension Bridge..... First of all, as I approached the bridge, I was struck at just how ugly the modelling was. But, as it’s a free upgrade, beggars can’t be choosers. However, I was a little more alarmed when a lorry literally flew at a 45degree angle from the river below me, and straight up through …

Anyone notice an association between FPS and max aircraft speed attained? If I limit my FPS to 100 I can attain a max aircraft speed of say 150 kts. If I limit my FPS to 25 the max attainable speed is 85 kts. I have done this to evaluate FPS within VR and the results are repeatable, at least on my system. I have never seen this behavior before. Anyone offer any insight? Danny
