As one of their most vocal critics, I felt obligated to share that I found two updates waiting for me this am. Perhaps they are finally listening... will report back later today, but go get yours as well. C

Just something folks can try if marketplace grays out after updating Microsoft gaming services. I have not been flying since updating gaming services yesterday because the marketplace was grayed out. Didn't want to keep going until that was fixed. The cure was to use the upper right menu inside MSFS to logout from Xbox there. And then MSFS automatically asks you to relog back in. Twice I did that, no difference. Tried it the 3rd time and the marketplace game back and is available as normal.

I'm talking about Neil Birch's Farm Strips (last I checked was 8 volumes for sale). At first they all worked and showed up in MSFS. You could enter their new ICAO in the MSFS Welcome window and go there to depart. Then, as more Asobo updates came along many of these strips new scenery were removed even if Neils airports were in your Community folder. Furthermore you could not find their ICAO in the MSFS Welcome window. Especially if the ICAO started with AG, like AG##. After the latest UK and flap updates they are all back in the game, and you once again get what you pay for with Neil's new and reworded farm airstrips. A couple weeks ago you would…

Hmmm, got a sim freeze today at EGHC when preparing a VFR flight to St. Marys (Scilly Islands) EGHE with the Bonanza Turbo Mods by R. Young. Maybe the Mod is not yet fully compatible with the latest MSFS release?. Somebody knows? Cheers, Ed

I'm using a keyboard. I take off, level off, and then use trim to stabilize, as instructed in the tutorial. I hit escape to go to the menu and lookup the key for some control. When I return to the game, it seems like I often pitch up or down dramatically. I assume my trim setting has been reset, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know how to make sure I don't reset my trim when using the menu temporarily? Or if it's not the trim, how to avoid this sudden pitch? On a related note, I can press [Num 5] to center when turning. is there a way to have a key center the yoke? I find it really hard to tell if I've got it centered or not.

I'm most of the way through this excellent bush trip and thought it deserved a short review. I like the MSFS bush trips. A chance to see something new and often with some challenging strips to negotiate. This one has fewer of the latter (so far at least) and the legs between landings are long - up to an hour each. It pays to recall that the sim will remember where you are if you quit part through a leg. This trip covers the famous John O Groats to Lands End trip - but unusually it takes us by the east coast. The route is comprehensive and rarely takes a shortcut across the water. I've flown most of it by hand or by heading, handing off to nav when the s…

Hi All, I have screensaver and screen timeout set on my PC. when running pp3d in full screen mode, I can set autopilot, step away, and when I get back I am still in full screen and all is well. With MSFS, if I do this, the screen saver is activated and screen eventually times out. When I eventually get back to the sim it is paused at the 'options' screen, where I can hit resume. Is there some way to have a similar experience as with P3d without having to disable or edit my screen setting. I haven't heard any talk of this 'problem', so I guess my situation is unique, but I cant be the only simmer that occasionally steps away from the computer. …

When flying on AP after some time the rudder starts to deviate more and more, to the right or to the left, resulting in a correction with ailerons by the AP and a crabbing flight. Switching AP off and on again puts the rudder back in neutral position. Anybody an idea ????

I have been trying to update my copy of MSFS De Luxe to the latest version but when I try and apply the update in the MS store I keep getting the error code 0x87E00017 and that stops any further progress. My MSFS was working fine until this mandatory update reared it's ugly head. Can anyone give me a clue. I do not want to re-install MSFS because it takes so long to download. My MSFS installation is on my drive "L" and has been there since the first install. I am completely at a loss on how to successfully install the update with error code popping up every time. I would be grateful for any advice to get out of this show stopping quack mire that I have fallen into…

Starting today, March 5, 2021, strange things happen within my FS2020. I am flying the FBW Airbus A32NX. When entering data by mouse clicks in the FMCU after a few mouse clicks FS2020 hangs. No input whatsoever (neither mouse, keyboard or joystick) is being accepted, the thing is just stone-dead. I have tried all FBW Airbuses and with everyone of the three the same happens. The hangs happen randomly, but most of the time when I am in the PERF page. Strangely enough (or perhaps not) this does not happen when I use the stock A320NEO. Have any of you experienced the same? Or do any of you have an idea what I can do to circumnavigate this issue? Thanks a lot, …

I've been hesitant, but I thought maybe I'd give this a try. I've looked around, and I can't find it, just mods to it. Where can I download the original?

The Navigraph devs have made a write up of the issues plagueing the flight sim when it comes to IFR flight planning. I wanted to share it with you, even though it is as expected and nothing new. The issues with the default flight IFR planning is clearly demonstrated. https://forum.navigraph.com/t/star-approach-limitation-truncate-waypoints-odd-flightpaths-pseudo-waypoints/4321

Hi. I have an issue with the CJ4 spoiler in that when I decrease throttle for cruise flight, the spoiler opens up a little. This didn't use to happen. Any ideas. I do have the WT mod, but as I understand it this has no effect on spoilers.

So got my Logitech radio, autopilot and switch panels all set. Flight in the Grand Caravan went great, changing com1 frequency in standby then transferring forward. Next tried a Flight in the King Air, when I go to change the standby com1 frequency on the Logitech panel it only changes the active. Thought it was my panel at first, also reinstalled the Logitech driver, still no good. Next I did a flight in the Grand Caravan and radio working fine again. Have to see over time how it performs with other aircraft.

There are a couple interior mods for the Carenado PA44 and the Mooney. If you install these mods which involves replacing files in the TEXTURE.BASE directory you will not be able to update the aircraft with official updates. I t's a case of delete and re-install.

I received Bravo Throttle Quadrant last Tuesday and have it setup to a couple of aircraft. Found rmag on YouTube very helpful. It is indeed a great piece of kit and a pleasure to use. Two questions for you guys who have recently installed yours. 1. I find the throttles are not idling the engines completely. Idle is too high. Any way of adjusting this? 2. One of my favourite aircraft is the WT CJ4. Apparently I can set this up with Axis and Ohs. I have actually purchased this but am slightly apprehensive to use it. Has anyone on this post any experience with this software? Any help or suggestions most welcomed.

This is the best peripheral after TM Warthog I have ever invested my money in! I'm very impressed! After around 40 minutes setting things up I have created several profiles for single, twins and jets. Right after I fired up MSFS and jumped in PA44! And boy it felt great to touch all controls in front of the computer! Trim wheel size reminds me one I had in M20J but works much better than IRL.LOL All handles feels right at "home" ! Finally I can sync props with two dedicated prop axises without mouse - WOW a simmer paradise! LOL It's nice to have gear handle as well. Although most retracts I flown IRL you have to pull gear handle out first and then move up…

I see the T-45C Goshawk from Indiafoxtecho should be released shortly going by their blog. They have met their minimum requirements for release and just polishing up some items for the initial release. I’m a huge fan of the Hawk and this version is different enough from the upcoming Just Flight version to make me want both. https://indiafoxtecho.blogspot.com

I just purchased the Mooney Ovation at the Marketplace and I also use MSFS AddonsLinker. I would like to have the aircraft in my Aircraft folder for "AddonsLinker", much like I do for any of the great Mods I use (to keep my Packages folder size down and save space on my C:\ Drive when not using a particular addon airport or livery etc.). I know the "Mooney" files do not reside in my Packages folder. I am wondering where and if so, is it possible to use Marketplace purchases with "AddonsLinker"? It would be nice if we had a choice to make purchases either through the Developer or the Marketplace.

So I decided to do a flight in the Cessna Citation Longitude from Honolulu to San Diego. Loaded it up and started Rex Weather Force 2020 and the temperature for Honolulu. 71* and snow on the ground. Would post the picture but can't figure out how to do that as nothing I tried worked. Anyway, I get to San Diego, temp is 60* and snow on the ground. Not what I was expecting from this weather engine...
