With an increasing number of utilities, both commercial and free, that claim to make up for the lack of a native replay mode in MSFS, I thought I'd put together a little comparison of how well they perform at their key function: recording and replaying a flight. Hi all, I don't post here too often, but I tend to read the threads a lot. I enjoy MSFS, but I realise it has some shortcomings right now and there are compromises to be made. I've noticed in the next few weeks we get Sim Update 3, which states it'll address the autopilot and navigation issues in the sim - and this one has been a long time coming, so hopefully it'll be a solid release. In addition to this we're about to get the Aerosoft CRJ, and the Just Flight Arrow. This sounds like a solid lineup for those who were missing medium/high fidelity aircraft, and coupled with the AP fixes, the sim should start to let those who like more advanced IFR procedures…

With the recent XO19 trailer being shot in 4K ultrawide coinciding with my need to pair up a new gaming rig housing an i9900K and RTX 2080 Ti with a monitor, I'm asking myself the question what is the best monitor to play FS2020? I'm having a hard time at the moment deciding what will work best with Flight Simulator, should I invest in proper HDR with local dimming? Will a VA panel be ok or should I choose the more colour accurate IPS panels. I'm a casual FPS'er as well but I mainly sim on my rig. I am personally very excited about this. I was tired of seeing the same green all over the world so I looked into it and found a way to adjust the tree colors. It's not perfect and there is no way I can keep everyone happy. Some like colors dull and some vivid. Some want more colors and some want less but I may be able to customize fall colors in your city. Hi, Sorry to ask this but I've been racking my brains to think why there is a need for this feature. What is the point of a keybinding to toggle a function, like anti-ice or fuel pumps etc. I ask because I'm trying to build a button box and the switching how I see it, is on / off with the switch on causing an action and off cancelling the action. When I assign it to toggle. ie. anti ice, the switch commands the anti ice on but then toggles this on/off rapidly. So to my question why and what function does "toggle" a keybinding do or necessary for. Thanks for you help in advance.

Reinstalled Windows 10, MSFS and TrackIR. TrackIR doesn't show MSFS in the list of titles and when I try to look for game updates in TiR I get a server error: 'An error occured while contacting the update server' and then (in Dutch) it says the data is not valid. Already uninstalled and reinstalled TiR: no luck. Are the servers down perhaps...? Is there any other way to get MSFS see TrackIR...?

I hadn't seen anyone discuss this but Aerosoft's newly released Bonaire airport has the most realistic passenger animations I have seen so far in MSFS or in any simulator. This airport truly comes to life inside and out with passengers disembarking and queuing inside the terminal etc. Makes a world of difference to the add-on and makes the suspension of disbelief more plausible. It looks like thet scanned real faces as well. This is what we need more of to bring airports to life instead of being the empty stark places they often are in what has so far been released as payware for MSFS. I hope more developers do this. I have been running through the PilotEdge rating videos on the Tube (Well worth viewing, even if you never subscribe). The instructor constantly brings up SkyVector map and chart overlays on the active single display to illustrate procedures. Anyone know how they are doing this? Is it post-processing? The little bit of research I have done on how to integrate SkyVector into 2020 only brings up a couple of 3rd-party add-ons that seem to have rather limited success in achieving this. If PilotEdge has a method of their own, it makes subscribing to this rather pricey service a bit more attractive.

Has anyone else noticed that while turning/banking and looking sideways (e.g. base to final turn) there's a rendering jitter/shake? I have only noticed this since version 1.10.11.0, and have never had this issue in the past. Example 1 Example 2 I started a bug thread on the official forums. UPDATE: I just noticed that this seems to happen only if your cockpit zoom level is above 50. If you zoom the camera view from 40 to 60 you'll see there's a "rotation" introduced starting around the 50 mark.

Howdy, Just wondering if anyone knows if Meteoblue has any maps that register fog or show you where fog is. Fog and Haze seem to be off according to metar reports in the U.S. with Live weather. Past couple days flew into a couple places that were supposed to be fogged in. Oh I did check the legacy map mode on Meteoblue with metars and it was reporting correctly but the sim was clear as can be dunno. I assume legacy mode is not part of the MSFS weather system. So I am trying to figure out if anything new on Meteoblue gives ya any sitrep on fog. …

I was having a look through my content manager and clicked on the info button on a few of them. I have a full install and everything is shown as up to date. My query is that some of the content was showing dependencies required and I was wondering whethr these were missing for some reason or whether these dependencies always show? Anyone have any idea about this? Thanks

I just noticed it yesterday when I was at Narita atiport RJAA I saw these blue taxi way lights all over the runway and then today I notice it in KSAN too any idea whets going on?

With the soon to be released Aerosoft CRJ quickly followed by FS2Crew's release for this aircraft, I would like to get some feedback about this software. In particular, if you used or using the CRJ Professional version what are your concerns or compliments ? I would be very interested in opinions regarding the "BUTTON" vs "VOICE" version. If you perform a lot of flying online with live ATC, which version provides the easiest way to complete different tasks while speaking with ATC. For example, can the virtual copilot switch radio freqs based on your voice commands, etc ? Thank you and good flight !

I'm still trying to solve this. Have noticed this happen on Chewwy's stream too. When taxiing the taxiways in front are fuzzy and only load when I'm right ontop. Tried all on default Medium, High and Ultra, no difference. Disabled Geforce optimisation.

Hello, I have just installed the A320mod into the msfs. However, it still loads the default A320. I have placed the folder A32NX into C:\Users\###\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_RANDOM NUmber\LocalCache\Packages\Community as described in the readme, but nothing changed so far. What did I do wrong?

Since Saturday, I cannot use MSFS anymore, it crashes the PC when loading bar is around 50% while showing World Update III. The first screen showing 85 airports ... is properly shown, then this screen becomes very transparent and PC restarts. I removed everything from community folder with no change. I tried to reinitialize XBOX and Microsoft Store without success but I previously solved a similar problem this way. I get no other information from event viewer than the previous stop was not planned. Did someone else has similar problems ? What else could I do ? I was in the last couple of weeks of the MSFS beta. I thought it was a really great simulator that still needed a ton of spit and polish before it would ready for me to really start using it. I fly jets. MSFS sorta does, but not like I need it to. I think everyone on here understands the nuts and bolts of that. The primary reason I bought it is that I have been learning Blender recently, and I was going to play around with creating some objects in the sim. The second reason is that I built a new system recently, and every version of Flight Simulator ever released has been my gold standard in diagnostic testing. Hi folks. I setup a Microsoft account for my son, under my account as a family member. We log in to the same windows accounts, not separate ones. When he uses MFS, he logs into the sim using his account by switching profiles. But the Caranedo M20 that I bought on my account, isn't available to install for his account. It's asking to buy it again. By comparison, the world updates that I downloaded on my account are available to install, although it doesn't download it again, just makes it available. I was expecting that I could make the M20 available in the same way. Has anyone else encountered this?
