I got the boxed version myself and while the game had a very rocky launch and is very unreliable to start (the MS Store integration is horrible I wish it would go the way of the dodo just like GFWL) I've learned most of the tricks to fix it once there's an update and it stops working. Now my father purchased the game from the Windows store since there's no real benefit to the boxed version. The game worked for a good 3 days until he called me and told me that it no longer worked, starting the game got him the message that he should insert the game disc and press continue (he has the digital download version!). The Pulse/landing/taxi lights are no longer working in the TBM 930. The position (nav) lights work but that's it. I have the mod TBM 930x mod 1.12.13.4 from Paul Falke installed. Any thoughts on a fix? Thanks in advance!

Alright I can not find the switches to turn this on. It has to be right in front of me. I did get it to work with Shift-H though. Anyone know where they are? I mean it's not like and Airbus or Boeing with many switches. BTW, if you don't turn them on, you crash and fall out of the sky, or I did 🙂 Next flight after using Shift-H, I remained in the sky and completed my flight.

Just after MSFS was released, one of the first flights I tried was in the Cub in a storm, in a lightly populated area. At that time, I was amazed at the performance with Ultra settings. As you can see in the pictures and in the enclosed video, I was getting consistent frame rates from the 80’s to over 100. Out of curiosity, I tried the exact same flight today and the frame rates are now 40’s to 50’s, or about half the frame rates that I got several months ago. Even with medium settings, I get nowhere near what I got several months ago with Ultra settings. I have also replicated other early flights and the frame rates were much high…

Hello dear fellow simmers and friends, I have an issue with my performance but this time I am not going to complain about that I am getting low fps or stutters. In fact just the opposite. I have a deck of i7-6700K 16GB (DDR4) RAM with nvidia gtx 1080ti btw running on windows 10. I usually get 40~50 fps with this setup at high-end graphics settings at 2K resoulution. What I am going to ask you guys is, when I set the settings to "low-end" I still get 40 ot 50 fps. Strangely I see no performance increase which leads me to the opinion of I might have a bottleneck at somewhere rather than the GPU. It looks it is doing its job fine but something other doesn't. A…

Do you - fumble like me with your mouse to set what you want (I specially hate the range/pan button 😱 😁) ? - transfer it a touchscreen tablet/iPad ? How ? - use a Streamdeck ? I recently discovered this new (?) gizmo meant for streamers but apparently used for a myriad of other purposes. Browsing flightsim.to I saw that @guenseli has released an utility for it.

Every flight I'm reminded what the scenery is like: incredible. I just finished a slow flight from Chicago to a custom field I've been landing at for 20+ years, and I passed some great little residential neighbourhoods, and some enormous buildings that I have no idea what they were. At one point there was enough room to even touch down for a quick look around. Terrific.

Am planning a new rig to practice realistic flying with MSFS and have a few questions: 1) Is MSFS audio output mono or stereo? 2) Does anyone have a view on the pros/cons for using headset-only vs. speakers+mic (mic being for VATSIM etc) - I quite like the idea of flying headset-only but not sure how this will be in reality. 3) Tech question on headsets: does a surround sound headset have any advantage over a typical stereo headset? Today I added Dallas Downtown freewware.. Since all my freewares are airports only (which doesn't add much load time) I was concerned about the Dallas city addition (this is my city) and so timed the load. The loading time has come down from 5 minutes to 4 minutes. That's like 20% improvement. I Double checked it. Without community folder, it takes 3 minues and now with so many 120+ addons, it just takes 1 additional minute? Is this a Placebo effect. I was flying multiple touch and goes practicing my pattern work and landings when on the downwind leg the tower notified me that the airport was now IFR and requested a full stop landing. Thought that was pretty cool.

Just curious how the performance is with the most recent 1.3 update. I know the last update increased performance a small/decent amount and many were hoping for more. Are you guys happy with it now? I don’t have a lot of overhead to run inefficient scenery with my 6700/1070ti. That said, LatinVFR’s KSAN runs very well on my system. As a Vegas resident, I’m dying to pick this up.

All Cloud servers down at Microsoft. One thing I hate about this new arrangement is we are really dependent on Microsoft's cloud else we use the sim looking like early FS2000.

Hi All On the TBM 930 Using my Honeycomb Alpha Flight Controls yoke I am getting continuous "low voltage" and "main generator" caution warnings and the generator overhead switch is flicking on and off continuously. If I disconnect the yoke and use my Thrustmaster HOTAS joystick there is no issue. In the Carenado Mooney I can see the ignition key continuously switching on and off feels like a conflict but cant see where - any suggestions please

I may have missed an episode because I do not understand where is the problem. I've flown the 172, the Caravan and the DA62 since the last update (downloaded the update but not the UK+IR region). For each of these flights, I landed squarely in the touchdown zone. No floating 😏.

N00b question. Is there a specific sequence in which LOC and APPR buttons needs to be pressed in order to intercept the localizer? I am struggling to do that in the 320 since the last two dev updates.
