Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I'm looking for a program that allows me to play generic cabin and crew announcements, sort of like the passenger briefings the WT CJ4 mod has. Looked into PACS but most of the features I'm not interested in. Any ideas?

What happened to Kennedy Space Center ??, early on before the updates the VAB and pad 39A were there somewhat, not perfect at all but somewhat there, now no VAB, no pad 39A, 39B is somewhat there, even the crawlerway isn't there for 39A.

Just saw an AD for LVFR AREX North America for MSFS and although it only covers NA Airports can anyone who has it advise how it compares to FSDT GSX in P3D? Longtime user of GSX for P3D and was waiting for FSDT to release a MSFS version... It's one of those "Must have mods for me"!

Quick question... When installing 3rd party airports (paid or unpaid) over a default enhanced airport (for example, FSDT ORD over default enhanced ORD), do I need to unisntall or remove the default manually? If that is the case, how do i do that? Thanks

Hi to all. Used to be on here way back in time. Can't even remember ..MFS maybe 2 to around early 2000s ..anyway, decided to jump back with 2020. its a huge 1nstall and has been installing for 2 hours and still has a ton to go. Looking forward to the adventure. I was also somewhat surprised this forum is still here. Kudos to everyone for keeping it going. Hopefully my system can handle it. A MD Ryzen 7 3800X 32gig DDR4 3200 GPU : MSI RTX 2070 Super I had given away all my yokes, pedal, throttle, etc. What's a good set to use? Probably mid price.

First impression on flight out of Orbx Leeds Bradford not great - Huge terrain lumps/have appeared and scenery levels all wrong around the airport. Most disappointing is that the clouds are still very pixelated

In MS 2020 when in exterior view behind the aircraft sitting on the ground. If I push my rudder pedals (Logitech) in all the way the rudder will deflect and then slowly move back to center with the pedal still deflected. When slowly released it will twitch back and forth before returning to center. It does this in both directions. When landing this is presented as a loss of control at low taxi speeds sometimes resulting in a complete turn almost a ground loop in the opposite direction that I want. Is there a way to set up the sensitivities or something to make the rudders work properly? This also does this when I disconnect the pedals and use use a X56 joystick with a twi…

Anybody know anyone I can hire to clean up the mess of taxiway lights at every airport I visit. Can't even taxi around without running over dozens of them. LouP

I'm considering buying one of these as my old Attack3 stick is, well old, and doesn't play too well with MSFS. Has anyone bought one of these and would like to comment on its's suitability or suggest better options. I've found several on-line for £64.99 but there do not seem to be any throttle quadrants available atm and at £89.99 they serm pretty expensive. Any thoughts or considerations would be greatly appreciated along with anyones experience of controllers I did not pist this in the hardware forum as it is specific to MSFS and I was looking for a response from MSF users rather than how controllers may behave in other sims. I just want to convey a simple thank you to Microsoft, Asobo, Partners and Developers for this wonderful new simulator, no ifs, no buts. To me, it's been a great start for the sim, and a great journey in just six months. And I look forward to the improvements that all of you will no doubt be bringing to this simulator in the years ahead. I started simming from FSX through to P3D because of a love of aircraft and flying, which I never pursued in real life. The LEDs on the honeycomb throttle were working fine. After updating the AS-HONEYCOMB_MSFS_V2100 to the community file (unzipped and installed) addon linker shows " AFC_Bridge <could not read the manifest.json file> Many installs have been tried including turning off virus protection. The LEDs don't work but the controls respond, so the controller is talking to the computer. Any Ideas????

When I attempt to enter the Manual Cache section, everytime it freezes and need to quit the game. Is there anybody else, havig the same problem ? Thanks

My worst spot in the world for stutters (very bad stutters) seems to be around and south of KSEA even with the enhanced airport disabled. If I’m in developer mode my nice green and yellow 40-50 FPS GPU limited is getting hammered by something that makes me red and CPU limited for seconds at a time in a very jerky fashion...perhaps as photogrammetry loads in...but this doesn’t even happen around Los Angeles like this. Yesterday afternoon I started up MSFS and was presented with the "London rainbow" image and before moving on to the "new in this release" images it pops up a "CHOOSE YOUR ACCESSIBILITY SETTINGS" dialog with only a Next button. I thought that was strange since I have started up many times since the last update without seeing this dialog. I was forced to accept the generic settings or reset them to what I had already configured months ago. I hit next and then it got worse. It brings up a "CHOOSE YOUR GRAPHICS SETTINGS" dialog with Low/Medium/ High/Ultra options, where again I need to accept generic settings or reconfigure. It repeats these steps for Service, Controls …

Hi, what is the correct way of setting up the Honeycomb Bravo throttle in the MSFS controls menu? I can see that the mapping of throttles is linear, but the levers in the simulator do not move for about 80% of the range and then jump to TOGA. Reducing the thrust only moves the levers down to about half of the manual range. Thanks!

Ever since installing new update the UK is full of terrain spikes or rather plateaus. London is surrounded by them. The Highlands are full of them as well. The rest of the world appears ok. Any suggestions?

Hi. I have in my fs-2020 the marks in the runway show poorly defines, blurred since the plane is Closer . Even when I am going to land the runway doesn't show in high resolution. I have all parameters ultra. My pc 3900x ryzen 3070 RTX 32 GB 3200 2 x SSD 1 tb m.2 With this simulator is a shame not being able to see the runways correctly. Regards

Just had to shift to daylight hours, but the weather patterns coming into AYNZ were pretty spot on and even had the low level haze which tends to build up from local bush fires this time of the year.

Has anyone loaded MSFS onto it's own dedicated drive? Is there much benefit or do files get loaded all over the PC anyway? Just thinking of protecting space my my main drive. My second is for photos, movies etc so don't want to use that. What size would work? Do you need a full 1TB or would 500GB be enough for sometime? I

Sure I haven't seen this before so I'm putting it down to the latest update (I could be wrong) Last night flying out of ORBX Dundee, I see two windsocks off the runway right next to each other Just spawned at Digital Design Liverpool (after deactivating new EGGP because its inferior) and I see two windsocks side by side. I've not tested at "default" yet so this could be a 3PD issue? Anyone else see this?
