Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

What will give me more bang from buck (free). MSFS is currently on my C drive (SSD) and I have 16GB of DDR ram. I can get either a 1TB SSD or another 16GB of ram for free... which should I grab to improve MSFS

Good morning I'm brand new to MSFS but not the series in general, and just come over from Xplane! I installed MSFS on my D drive and also created a different folder on the D drive called MSFS for the package install I've verified via Developer mode that D:\MSFS\Community is my folder for Community packages But I've also noticed that there is a Community folder within D:\WpSystem\ which mirrors with one in C:\Users\... My issue is that I've only managed to get one package to install, the Machmell Fishery airport, for which I did the following: 1. Copy main folder into D:\MSFS\Community 2. I'm getting the above mentioned error in MSFS and I have no ideal what's causing it, anyone else experience this too ?

How do I get AI traffic. There isn't any that I have seen at airports like KPIT or any where.

See the sceneries with the red mark, it should be a subfolder? It doesn't show my sceneries subfolders within the folder sceneries. That's where I have all the addons for sceneries freeware and payware. But I have the folders and its subfolders in tact. I tried restoring the saved Presets" but its no help. See the parameters for "sceneries" folder? By mistake I put the contents of Auckland freeware within subfolder "sceneries" rather than its own "Auckland" subfolder. Then I celled the copy midway and deleted the "scenery" folder within the "sceneries" folder. Then I end up with this mess. I am unable to recover. any idea…

Hi All, I was wondering if anybody could give me pointers on how I would start making my own liveries for the Caravan. I want to replicate the Caravan I fly IRL. I have been successful in the past in FSX at making my own liveries, but am completely unfamiliar with this new sim's format. Any pointers or links to tutorials?? Much appreciated!

Hi fellow simmers, I am trying to get realistic trim sensitivity settings for the rocker switch on the throttle of my joystick. I fly the C172 in the sim a lot, and have many hours flying a real C-172, but it continuously climbs and descends and requires constant trim adjustments unlike the real thing and its very frustrating for me. Are there some sensitivity settings to make things better? I need some specific instructions please. Thanks again

A few days ago A2A posted this short message as a response to a couple of comments on Facebook regarding their progress on Microsoft Flight Simulator releases. Very encouraging to hear, especially about the documentation which is quite poor at the moment. Looks like they are working on several models at the time too.

Hi folks. Does anyone know what the defrost switch in the Caranedo M20R is for? I had it on, and cabin heat on full, and still froze. I know the RL model isn't rated for ice conditions, but wondered what the switch is for.

I was wondering if you get the KEYW by FSDT that is in the FS Market, do you have to get involved with Coutal? I would hate to have that on my sim again.

Listening to the live blog that was release a couple weeks back we were supposed to get two updates in February. UK was one and a sim update was the second. It's getting a little thin on days left, thought the next update was going to be today. I was looking forward to the FDE issues getting fixed and the oversized airport signs getting addressed among other things.

I have had a Track IR for years, and really never used it much. It used to glitch, and go crazy every once in awhile, and I just stopped connecting it up, but kept the unit on top of my monitor. Now that I have a new PC and MSFS 2020, I decided to give it a try, but I lost my purchase and couldn't figure out how to connect it again. I was thinking that since it had to be at least 10 years old , it was probably obsolete and ready for the trash can. Two CTD's in a row on the same flight over the UK from EGCC to EGSC. I am starting to think the UK is haunted.

Is there a way to adjust how much the axis moves? The King Air is giving me some issues. The throttle range is very small and it gets into reverse when the throttles are about at the half way point. Nowhere near the detent. It won't go into feather at all with the mixture axis, and the condition lever cuts the fuel off at about 25 degrees. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but the whole setup seems really sloppy

I have installed the last AIRAC 2012 ,and the STAR procedures for LPMA RNAV 23 are BIGP1X, EKNO1P, ELBI1X, EPAK1X, IBAN1P, KICA1P, LIDR1P, NIDU1P, NIDU1X, RAKU1P If i fly A320 i can choose that STAR procedures through the MCDU (BIGP1X, EKNO1P, ELBI1X, EPAK1X, IBAN1P, KICA1P, LIDR1P, NIDU1P, NIDU1X, RAKU1P) But with FMC of B747 or B737 MAX the approaches aren't the real ones , ........ they are BIGP1X, BIMB4A, ELBI1X, EPAK1X, LIDR1C, LIDR5A, MADA4A, NIDU1C, NIDU1R, NIDU1X, NIDU5A, NIKA4A, SNT4A Why can't choose the real star procedures in the Boeing FMC like in the A320 MCDU? thanks

Have the Honeycomb Quadrant. Trying to figure out how to dial in feet in 100's for the altitude. Dial just changes altitude in 1000's. How do I dial in say "twenty thousand five hundred" (FL 250 ) just using the quadrant dial? Thanks Walt
