Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

What has happened ? Just before touch down with the call out retard I close the throttles and the air craft will not touchdown in fact the throttles open and it takes off, I have obviously turned auto pilot off. I have been flying succesfully for months but since the update I have had this problem. It has now become so bad I am unable to enjoy the experience. Has any body else found this has been happening to them with the A320 ? I have tried different approach speeds and flap settings but it always happens. Can this be because ASOBO have tinkered with things ??

Does anyone know if Microsoft intends to support SimConnect in the new 2020 Simulator or will it have a new network connection interface? If users who want to network computers using Microsoft FS 2020 and SimConnect (if they intend to use it) have the same problems that so many users have experienced connecting computers with Windows 10 since they removed WORKGROUP, I fear FS2020 will die on the vine. I have spent thousands of hours ( that was THOUSANDS ... YES THOUSANDS !!!!) and money upgrading hardware trying to get SimConnect to work to no avail and it all started when Microsoft removed WORKGROUP. I think I would have given up Flight Simming alto…

Anyone know how sound spatialization works in MFS. I don't think the Carenado 182 is utilizing 3D sound at all and are still using the sound format from FSX in that aircraft. It would be nice to correct any aircraft not using 3D sound if possible. Thanks, LouP

Hi, Have you noticed that the AP, at least in Cessna 172, doesn't work after cold start (if you begin with your Cessna parked and engines off). However, if the plane is placed directly on the runway with the engine running, the autopilot in NAV mode works. I don't understand why.

Anyone else geeting the wandering off the approach again? I tried two dev versions today, and whilst the aerodynamics have been sorted, i am now finding every flight on approach its off on its own again.

An issue occurred after the previous sim update (sim Update 2 )where my buddy's aircraft in a multiplayer session snaps from its livery to completely white when getting to about 50 meters from my aircraft. His undercarriage also disappears and snaps back when he comes back into range. Immersion killer for sure. Anyone else having this issue ?

Did anyone grab it? Thoughts? The price point is surprisingly great compared to the pricing for P3D? I did get it, not too convinced on the ground textures and looks like taxi lines on the apron do not have any taxi lights? I need to spend a little more time there, but so far so good.

I am using Drwzeiki Design RJAA Narita and noticed that at night there are way too many blue lights. Does anyone else have this?

Mods, I am obviously in the wrong MSFS Forum here but I do not want to post in the VR forum and there is nothing else that I can see. Could you please point this to the right place if possible. What I want to achieve with this query is 1. to map a spare throttle and working throttle quadrant for the following. a. lever 1 to gear up and gear down. This I have already mapped and it is working well. b. first switch below that lever to heading up and heading down. This obviously has to be a repeat function. I took a screenshot to show how blurry the terrain is. This is me running the sim at 4K with Ultra preset. I don't use rolling or manual cache, and made sure that all my data settings are on. Not sure why the ground looks so blurry. This is during my flight from RJAA to RJBB in Japan.

Is there anyway to easily display a map page that shows all airports within range?

I can't seem to get the throttle to work in the CJ4 when this mod is installed. I can switch aircraft and the throttle works as it should. If I remove the mod the throttle in the CJ works just fine. Apparently custom livery's can cause a problem with the fadec so I removed everything in my community folder but the Workingtitle and Flybywire mods. Any ideas for what I am missing here? Has anyone run into this? This happens every time, since the latest update, and I have not found a simple way to stop it. I have disconnected all my USB controllers, including the keyboard, and that does not fix it. If I go to windowed mode, and open up Notepad, I see the cursor move in steps.. very strange. Hopefully someone has run across this and knows how to fix it 😉

I was wondering if you can customize the weather for different locations in this sim because I tried changing the weather for both San Antonio Texas and Dallas but it always gives them the same conditions.Is there a way to do this.

Well the update is finally here now it's time to collect ourselves and figure out what's broke (hopefully not much) and document it so we all know... EDIT: This thread is not a joke or click bate. Wondering are add-ons like WT gauges/CJ4 and many other Mods are still working.

Several of my addons are missing after uk update, they in the community folder and say installed, but they are in a PLACE HOLDER, Thanks in advance for any help!

Wondering if anyone else has had problems with the Mooney 20 on Approach mode not locking onto the ILS. Tried 3 different airports, same problem. OBS shows LOC and GS, but aircraft goes right past them with app engaged and never locks onto either one???

Hi is it possible to train different approaches to a runway without doing a full flight? The idea is to have the airplane fully configured at some waypoint of the approach chart and train all the landing procedures fort that specific runway such us VOR,NDB, RNAV or ILS? Thank you.
