There is an issue Asobo are investigating where you will get CTDs trying to load anywhere near certain addon scenery if Bing downloads are enabled. If it is scenery like Orbx Sydney it crashes as you approach the city in flight, if it is an addon airport (such as the freeware Rotorua) it crashes while loading there. This seems to be a new bug introduced with the pre-patch changes made in preparation for the UK update and applies to marketplace scenery as well as items in the community folder. I have recently purchased MSFS 2020 Premium Deluxe following many years flying the PMDG 737-8 on FSX. which was wonderful, and now concentrating on tackling the B787 in MSFS 2020 I feel I am quite experianced in Sim Flying and Flight planning and entering FMC waypoint routes etc. So there apears very little differance between flying and controlling the B787 and the PMG 737.in overall aviation terms. Is there a way to look up the weather conditions at an airport without loading the sim? Like many, I have seen a bit of variation between METAR reports and what is actually loaded. I can think of an example on Saturday where the METAR at DTW stated light snow with overcast, but the sim loaded sunny skies with clouds in the distance. I always start with clear skies and load live weather at the gate. I get it, it is not going to be exact as what I see outside, but is there a map/site/app that shows what the sim will actually load? Ever since I first installed MSFS last September, it has been unstable and prone to Crash-To-Desktop issues. My hardware should be adequate: a 6-core Ryzen 5-3600, 64 gigs of DRAM, and a Radeon RX-5500-XT GPU with 8 gB of VRAM. Running MSFS, I have never seen the CPU go past 35% utilization, or DRAM utilization exceed 24gB. My GPU is barely adequate, and I wish I had spent the $$$ for an RX-6800-XT, so I could get 30 fps at High or Ultra graphics level, but at least it runs okay at Medium graphics level and doesn't drop below 20 fps. When I try to take off, as soon as the tail wheel comes off the ground the plane cuts to the left and I can't correct it back. Checked the rudder peddles and everything seems to be ok. Not sure what's causing this to happen. I even try to increase the speed steady and evenly, but off to the left it goes. Any ideas what is causing tis. Thanks Walt

I am in the process of building a new PC for MSFS2020 and need some help selecting the processor. I am looking at the I9-10900KF, do you see any issues going with the KF processor over the standard K processor as it relates to MSFS2020? The system would be a I9-10900KF, RTX-3090 and 32 GB of memory. I don't know enough about the hardware side of things to understand the difference between the KF and K processors and how it affects performance in MSFS2020. Any ideas? Thanks, John

I installed MSFS this week-end, because my DVD did not allow a full install for unknown reasons, I had to download MSFS thanks to the redeem card included in the package. As a result of this my MSFS install is limited to the following files on my specific "E" SSD: Simulateur MSFS > Official > One Store > data3.cab. At first I thought that some files were hidden, but I could not find any "hidden" files. Where on earth are the 100 GB of files that I downloaded (Premium version)? So I got my new i9 3090 etc etc PC the other day and after installing my 3D software and other odds and sods I gave MSFS a go. Compared to my current 1080ti it absolutely blew me away! I mean WOW! (Admittedly the LOD community addon patch helped scenery pop ups). I also noticed how sharp everything was on 1440 ultra so might change the file to soften it up a bit. Then I found out the liquid cooling was having a few probs and the CPU was getting too hot and throwing out the odd occasional beep. To cut along story short it was sent back a week ago and fixed. However, that area is now in Covid shutdown so I have to wait for them to send it back (not really important on the s…

Hi, i have seen a list in FSX for coast seaplane airports and havent found anything outside USA yet. With MSFS its possible to pick any location on the globe with the mouse but thats with engines running and in the air. Anyone found a way to just place your seaplane on water and start from there in cold and dark? Thanks Michael Moe

Hi Did anyone else get an update to various aircraft, providing numerous fixes? 747, 787, A320 Default, and others.

I'm about to pull the trigger on FS2020 and I'm wondering which version I should get. How do the deluxe handcrafted airports like O'Hare compare to the ones in the default version? Are they significantly better? How do the FPS compare between the different versions? How do the deluxe version of the airports compare to third party addons like FSDreamTeam O'Hare?

I posted a fix for the 1.10.7.0 patch USB peripheral CTD's. It's in the Tips and Tricks awaiting moderation. Be Warned, I've only tried this on the MS Store version, because that's the one I have. If you have Steam, you might be able to use some of the concepts. Also, doing this WILL delete all your existing controller profiles, and will force you to rebuild them within the program, but It should get you back up and running with your peripherals.

Whenever I press escape to go into the options and then return again the engines shuts themselves off. Does anyone know what's up with that? Is there anything I can do to prevent it?
