Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

What happened? Fps drops dramatically after takeoff in the a320 and other complex planes, gpu usage drops below 60% cpu usage as usual.

Feel free to drop your by and share you thoughts. This is not a bug thread but a wish list 1. Weather/Terrain (especially terrain radar as it most useful in MSFS) 2. Import MSFS flight plan functionality 3. Navigraph EFB integration 4. V1,V2 calls 5. Visual icing 6. Cabin access

Similar topics out there about settings not being saved. One thing I've noticed, is, I can have all my peripherals set up, and as long as I don't shut down my PC, all is good. It's when I shut down PC and restart, all is lost. Has to be something in windows. What are some of your opinions out there? [email protected] S. Sumner

I haven't had a CTD in the last week and a half, with dozens and dozens of flights. Today I had two in a row, same flight and same area about 4 miles north of KDCR airport, on approach to KFWA.

Zoom Cockpit View (=) and Unzoom Cockpit View (-) will zoom you in and out but is there a way to control how much it zooms with each tap of the key? Zoom Cockpit View zooms me in way too much. I know I can use the mouse and get more granular zooms but I want to set up a custom cockpit view and CTL-ALT-1 doesn't save the zoom distance I zoomed with the mouse. Thanks ... Richard

I recently downloaded the following aircraft: https://flightsim.to/download/antonov-an225-working-cockpit-and-wing-flex/10800 But when I load it up, there are no gauges, and nothing in the cockpit is clickable. There a bunch of gauges included in the package. I'd like to know if it's just me or if others get the same.

Just curious with a few days to go, my plan was to buy the premium deluxe version from Steam. Would there be any disadvantages to buying from Steam vs. direct from Microsoft? I can’t think of any but did some searching and really couldn’t find anything. Cheers, Pete

Started Sim with flight plan loaded. Then... Sitting on the runway at KFHR in the KingAir 350 - frame rate was running between 5 and 10 fps - system was almost non-responsive. I had not yet taken off because I could not get any of the controls set. Suddenly I received a message saying (in a white message box with small black letters) "Break Point A reached" with an OK click spot. I clicked on it once and received the same message, clicked on it a 2nd time and the sim crashed to the desktop. Is it possible some debugging code was left in the distributed sim? I have MSFS installed on a laptop and on my desktop computer. I am able to continue using my laptop fine, but am unable to start MSFS on my desktop. I had a period of inactivity, so this was last updated with world update 3, then wasn't started again until after the flaps hot fix and sim update 3 were released. The simulator is fully updated and ran once. This was run solely to update. It was shutdown and when I cam back about a week later, it will not start. I run the sim as an administrator. I get the early splash screens, checking for updates, and then the splash screen advertising the UK-Ireland update. The loading bar gets about 3/4 of the way across the …

I installed the GNS530 mod and then the desired track (the magenta line for the active leg and white lines for the inactive legs) disappeared. So I decided to remove the GNS530 mod from the Community folder, but the desired track lines were still missing. I reinstalled the mod, still no desired track lines. Anyone having the same issue, and know the solution? Worth mentioning that it disappeared from other avionics too, such as the CRJ MDF.

After the last update MSFS rebooted my PC without any warning somewhere during loading. So I reinstalled Windows 10 from scratch last week and last night I reinstalled MSFS (Steam) from scratch. I was able to do two short flights, simply checking if things worked again. Victory, I thought. After that I installed the UK update and now my PC reboots again... no matter where I fly or what settings I use. The screen sudddenly goes black and the PC reboots. It usually happens when I am almost in the cockpit, ready to start flying. Before the entire reinstall the reboot usually occured during the initial loading of MSFS already. Anyway, I can't fly anymore AT ALL. Question…

I just tested this workaround at 76T and it works for me. My FPS went instantly went from 3 FPS to 80+ FPS! Once again, leave it to the community to come up with solutions before Asobo. This isn't a permanent solution but it's a step in the right direction, and maybe just maybe it'll lead to someone discovering what the actual issue is. "I’ve found a work around for the FPS issue. This requires multiple mouse clicks as when you load up there the frame rate is poor to say the least. Enable Dev Mode Create a new project Then just open the scenery editor and watch the FPS fly. I seem to have lost the ability to focus and use depth of field. In the past, while in drone view, I would use the camera popup on the floating toolbar, and screw around with focal length and focus. Auto/disabled/off has no effect anymore. Anyone have any ideas?
