I checked my Xfinity account today, and since I got MS 2020 and am flying instead of watching Netflix, Youtube, etc, my data usage is down from the previous month..

I purshased the Aermacchi MB-339 a while back, but never got to use it until yesterday. The problem is that I got a clicking sound when sitting in the cockpit that I have no idea how to shut off. First I thought I've accidentally had the magneto swich on my Yoke on to "both", but no, so I've tried almost every switch in the cockpit with no success. Any idea of what causing this clicking sound?

I mean real bush flights 😉 . I just had a great flight with the Cubcrafters XCub the way I like them, short (32 nm) and stressing because of a difficult approach and landing. Don't you love when you have to double back in a narrow valley to land to the wind 😁 ? Sloppiness in the flying kills you. BTW, the wind display in the G3X is a great flying asset ! This was in Oregon, between Baker City and 7OR0 Minam Lodge, a small strip on a 349° MH from KBKE, on the outskirts of the Wallowa Mountains. Why don't you, you fellow bush flyers, also tell us in this thread about your interesting flights ? Any taker ?

I started up a flight at Teterboro last night, paused it (by going to the menu) for about an hour and a half while I ate supper, and when I came back I felt like I was watching waves of bombers invading Europe on D-Day! It seems like having the sim paused caused the live traffic to "bunch up" or something to that effect? There was a constant stream of go arounds at Teterboro for a few minutes. A bit odd but on the bright side the most populated I've seen the skies over NYC! 🙂

Asobo puts a sign on the door "Closed for a week" and all the team plays the sim for 7 days, 8 hours a day. Play, play, play. No coding. Within a month after the week ends, the sim is as it should be 😄 ! The more they tweak the sim innards, the further they get from the simming experience. They have to get back to the basics. My two penny thought (not worthh more actually) after a perfect flight with the Cub in South Oregon 😉.

Captains,Our close friends at Aerosoft released their new CRJ for Asobo's MSFS this week- (congratulations, Hans!) and this has of course set off an expected flurry of anticipation, desire, speculation and unfortunately, conjecture, as to when more complex aircraft will be made available by other developers including PMDG.In my (more-or-less) weekly updates, I try to give you a view that focuses on the product that is about to, or has just released, and then shift back to a higher-level view to give you a sense of the broader what is happening longer term in our development agenda. I think most of our customers track these updates easily enough, but occasionally it does s…

The Aviaworks CDU is now available for the Aerosoft CRJ at https://www.aviaworx.com/aviacdu It provides a remote interface on a networked mobile device that works exceptionally well at a very reasonable price (around ten euro). Enjoy.

When I have completed a flight & hit Esc key to go back through the screens, the menu options along the bottom of the first screen going back includes 'Validate'. What does that do? T45

Loaded flight plan in cdu. When I go to "Dial" in the altitude with the quadrant, altitude does not change in the PFD. Also when I started the flight, I got aiborne, I have a flight plan loaded and have the PFD nav set to FMS1. When I turn the auto pilot on and hit nav, the nav button turns off and the HDG button goes on. Turn HDG off and hit NAV again and the same thing happens. HDG stays lit, but it does follow the flight plan. And one more thing, If I'm entering a flight plan, and make a mistake, I hit DELETE to correct the error and "DELETE" stays in the scratch pad. Can't get rid of it. Any one else having these problems or any suggestions on this? Thanks…

Normal service has been resumed! A much-requested review of DD's Ronald Reagan Washington National (KDCA) and a little look at the Washington Landmarks add-on as well.

Hi everyone! So my question is simple : How do you manage to import a simbrief flightplan into the sim, then select the sids/stars you want on the World Map without making the flightplan reshuffle completely and then make the default ATC guide you on this newly created flightplan?

Anyone using the 461.92 driver have any comments to make on MSFS performance? https://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/461.92/461.92-win10-win8-win7-release-notes.pdf I'm not expecting any miracles but some improvements might be nice, though difficult to judge when it's been a stutter fest for the last week. I did read a comment from someone on another forum saying he's got a 5-7 FPS improvement, but will take that with a pinch of salt until others are saying the same thing 🙂

At flightsim.to I found an A380, but all the screens are missing from the cockpit. It's using the cockpit from the default airbus, is there a way to get them to show?

Hello, I am using FS 2020 1.14.5.0. My video card is an rtx 2060 super. I fly without Ctd, without stutters I do not get very low fps. Below is got while flying Really strange so many users having so many issues. But for me, 1.14.5.0 is THE BEST fs 2020 ever released. What I do is simple : I only use WIndows 10 for Flight Simulator. Otherwise (webbrowser, mail, video editing, and much more,) I use Linux. When I launch Windows, I first check for any windows 10 update, and reboot if requested. Then only I launch FS 2020.

I was flying low and slow over my hometown where I grew up and was amazed with the detail. All the correct buildings in the right place. Then I started thinking that if kind of detail is available out in the suburbs, why don't we see this same detail at all of the airports? Did Asobo have to go out of their way to give us airports without the correct buildings or was there something in the process they used that prevented that from happening? Just curious. LouP

I've downloaded and am about to try the WT CJ4. What is different? For a person who knows nothing about how the aircraft should perform etc (like me) is it likely I'll notice a difference? Also, when I select to fly the CJ4, am I automatically getting the new version, I assume I don't have to go and select a special plane from the liveries screen or something?

So I experimented with various stalls in the PA28. First, I tried an accelerated stall by pulling hard on the yoke with power on. The plane stalls and drops a wing, but there is no stall warning. However if I set the trim up, there is an audible stall warning. Can this be right? Then I tried a power off stall. Gear down, I pull hard on the yoke...The plane sinks, but never actually stalls and no stall warning and the plane maintains about ~ 60 kts or so in a ~ 1000 fpm descent. I think if put in lots of up trim, then there is a stall warning. How is this supposed to work? What triggers the stall horn to go off? I'm trying this as I get no stall warning when la…

No matter what aircraft, sim sends plain into roll and dive after message saying "takeoff angle to low" or something like that. Same issues with Yoke or joystick. Did not always do this. Just recent issue. Everything works on XPlane.

Hey everyone! We're in the process of exploring a possible major change in the FBW A32NX: shipping our own navdata, in a similar fashion to the Aerosoft CRJ and pretty much most payware airliners in previous sims. How this would work is the plane would come with a free, out of date AIRAC cycle provided to us by Navigraph, and those with a Navigraph subscription would be able to update the AIRAC cycle to the current version. With a proper set of navdata like this, we would be able to support all ARINC-424 flight plan leg types, which means a completely functional lateral navigation system that can support published holds, speed restrictions, and procedures that…
