Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Searched the forum for 'autosave' but only found old topics from 2020. Does anyone know if there is an autosave option to be downloaded/purchased somewhere? Afaik FSUIPC7 doesn't autosave yet? (Not that I look forward to pay 30 bucks or euros just for the autosave option...) I manually save the flight every 5 minutes or so but it kinda kills the immersion. And I really need to save my flights in order to guarantee a landing. Hi guys, as the Airbus helicopter addon getting better and better I gave it a try. I really like the advanced flight model for the added realism and at low speed I really enjoy maneuvering with the padels. Now, I'm not really sure what supposed to happen during cruise. There is a trimmer for pitch cyclic but what happens with the anti torque? Does the pilot need constant pressure on the pedals to keep the nose heading where needed ? Does the real thing for a way to trim the anti torque forces ?

I have been quite negative about Sim Update 3 as have many others. In all honesty I am not sure I have seen a single positive comment from those that use the sim as a sim. I really want to know though, was anything good coming from this update? The contrails are poorly implemented. The FSX aircraft liveries are meh at best and don't seem to play nice with community add on's like A32NX. The Garmin's are not fixed - far from it. Then there is the shrinking LOD and the random stutters. So seriously, who here thinks that there is even one thing that was positive about Sim Update 3. In other sims like P3D for ex. with AI when I'm at a smaller airport I can tune into unicom and hear the AI announcing their patterns and landing, does this not happen in MSFS ? Same question would be for multiplayer for ex. if a multiplayer is ready to taxi, take off or land and announces it on ATC should I not be able to hear it on the same Freq. ?

My flights today have been smoother than ever. I think i have had a few fps more than usual. And less stutter. Maybe it was the drm server that caused the slowdown of cpu and gpu that I had before.

Hi guys, I have had MSFS 2020 installed and working before Christmas. I tried again today and I can't load the menu. The "please insert disc" pop-up appears and I cannot load the game. Just doublechecked my settings after having completed the second perfect flight after SU3 since I had slight stutters taking off from Simflights EDDM for EKCH. And found above setting under Options —> General —> Traffic. Could bet its new. So now I can set fauna traffic under section land and sea traffic? It is set to 100 but I did not see any seagulls when flying into EKCH just now. Did anybody have some insights what this slider triggers? Will set it to 5 and see how MSFS behaves then...

Everything was fine with my setup until the latest update last week. Basically MSFS crashes to desktop while loading from the 'setting up a flight page'. On the odd occasion that it did load, Yoke dead, throttle dead, Xbox controller that I use for views, dead, rudder pedals OK. I persevered with this nonsense for an hour and then thought I'd reinstall a backup from a couple of weeks ago. All good until the update, then same as before. Then I remembered, should I have emptied the community folder prior to the update, soooo, I reinstall the backup, check to see if working, all good. How to fix the Problem that when you create an area in the manual cache settings, then move your cam with the left mouse button and then your area does not stand still it moves with you? Video to that Problem: It is for 100% not normal cause other guys on Youtube with cache tutorials didnt get this problem like this one: When he moves his cam like on 3:10 it stays, but mine area moves.

So im messing around trying to configure everything and what I wanted to know was if you can assign the AP buttons on the bravo to the CRJ and which program is the best to do it? I have FSUIPC AND Axis/Ohs.

Purchased from the Market Place. Too many CTD with this aircraft. All other aircrafts are OK. So how can I uninstall it from the Market Place ?

Anyone else here who has gotten fear of flying with MSFS...? I often find myself longing to jump in an aircraft and enjoy the views but more and more I notice I fear to start up MSFS... because I am afraid it will lock up, CTD, reboot the PC, not do what I want it to do. Or whatever. Really. Like this evening I planned to fly and enjoy a beautiful sunset but when I hovered my mouse over the MSFS-icon I (seriously!) thought 'This was a fine day... do I dare to ruin it...? I haven't flown the TBM 930 in a while so before I opened up FS2020 I updated the latest TBM 930 improvement mod, and the WT G3000 4.2 mod. When I went to fly all screens are blank. Nothing. Tried different liveries, went back and deleted and reinstalled both mods still nothing. Any have any ideas? Thanks for the help. Rodger

All of the sudden my old school Logitech Dual Pad stopped operating the drone cam. I deleted the profile and re-remapped buttons to a new profile and still dead. Are there any tricks to this?

So I took the plunge today - bought the ultimate edition on Steam - Started well, it knew about my Steam install on my D drive and put it there - I knew from the forums that this is just a preliminary, the main install happens when play is pressed, and the rest of the download is from Microsoft. So I was expecting to need my Microsoft password - except nothing has happened - the Steam App shows it as "Running", There's an MSFS icon in the taskbar - if I click on it, I just get a black screen. Otherwise nothing - I'm stumped. Any thoughts guys? Thanks Eugene

Ok lads, lets keep it clean. I am hyped for this release to finally have a regional jet in sim. Where do some of you day 1 folks plan to venture out to with your bird? I personally will watch initial reviews drop before I decide how early I wish to adopt the CRJ into my virtual hangar.

Is the newly released Aerosoft CRJ delivered with an SDK, so I can interface my hardware to control MCP etc.? If not, are the files available to so I can find the >H: Events and LocalVariables it uses, or are files encrypted?

Heads up for those who have this bird. The patch sorts out the landing characteristics considerably, tweaking the engine power and flaps, some other tweaks have gone on too, audio and visual. Here it is with me enjoying a much more stable and easily controllable hand-flown approach into FMMI earlier with it holding speed well on the descent with two stages of flap:

Was wondering how to purchase within MSFS marketplace. When I try to buy any payware within MSFS 2020 it fails. I purchased some sceneries for ORBX on their site with no problem but want to get the Carenado AC on marketplace.

Just curious what percentage of users this has impacted. I've been very vocal about how trouble-free MSFS has been for me since day 1, but this one brought in random, sudden fps drops, and I'm vsynced to 30hz.
