Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I am following the instructions and check list as well as having watched videos. Right engine #2 starts fine. Left spools up to 25 but temp never comes up. I started a ticket with Aerosoft. And I searched this and other forums for others with this problem. But I could not find any others. I may be doing something wrong, but I can operate the #2 just fine. Shut down and restart. I am using the Bravo Throttle and customized it as per instructions. Once the levers are unlocked with mouse then I can move the throttles with Bravo, before then they have no effect. Any thoughts are welcome. It would be nice to have 2 working engines.

Flight today in the classic 172 with the pair of GNS, using today's release of PMS50-GNS530 1.0.28. Flight from KSNA to KSJC in IFR conditions. Almost made it. Got to my initial point of descent from 8,000. Established descent rate. Saw MSG button on the 530 blinking. Clicked it with my mouse. MSFS froze. Tried waiting it out for a few minutes. No joy. Two hours enroute lost. Again! Seems to be the only aspect of MSFS that is reliable for me. Freezes. Not CTDs. Freezes. Wasting my time. Hours of wasted time. Hey guys! So I need some help. I am getting very decent FPS with my 3080 and i9-9900K, however, I feel like its not smooth. I will get around 45-50 FPS with airliners. I’ve tried to lock frames internally and via NVIDIA and nothing seems to work. Any idea?

After getting MSFS 2020, I started probably within a week or so getting CTDs. One after another. I figured out that probably 50% of my flights were getting a CTD, usually from about the halfway point in a 120 mile flight , all the way to getting them on final approach. At this point, I was seriously considering getting P3D version 5, although I knew this was going to be a big let down after seeing how good MSFS can look, when it isn't crashing. Well all i can say is i'm glad i've not comitted to this sim yet. It seems for every update we go more to an alpha build than the previous update. Before the last update all seemed ok. Got my new pc built and all running smoothly checked msfs and all seemed fine. I did the latest update afew days ago but did not have time to use it but it launched fine and went to the main screen. But today went to run it and i got the please insert the game disc message. Which is a bit difficult as i have the digital version bought from the microsoft store! My Steam version of the sim has had no issues up until now but for some reason, but I can no longer get it started. It crashes to desktop right after the Microsoft copyright page. Btw, it worked fine 24 hours ago but now that I'm back home, for some reason I can't get it going anymore. I've tried it from both the desktop icon and trying to launch it within Steam. It starts normally, goes through the X-Box, Asobo, and Blackshark AI pages and then the script for the 2020 Microsoft copyright page. Then I get the spinning circle at the lower right part of the screen and a CTD.

Anyone have this installed and working in MSFS 2020? I am trying but every time I get near the place I have a CTD. LouP

I have the Aerosoft CRJ and would like to use whatever nav data is provided with the aircraft and also would like to use whatever is provided by MSFS to use with the A320nx and CJ4. I do not own any stand alone nav accounts like Navigraph. Anyone willing to show the way? This is so that I can use SimBrief to provide flight plans. Regards, Ray

Hey guys, so i decided to take the leap and start developping an aircraft. Its a weird one,i literally have no idea how its gonna turn out, or if it will ever come out, but hey, it'll give me some practice at least. A millions dollar to who's able to guess what the plane is gonna be 😄

Let me preface this by saying, I am not asking what is better than the other. I know they are completely different planes with different methodology, etc. I have been flying the 320 for years (P3d FSlabs and now FBW in MSFS). Between the CRJ and the current FBW, which is more complete in terms of lack of bugs, smoothness. I realize the CRJ is brand new so things will pop up, and I really enjoy the FBW with my Airbus "experience" but always feel like I am chasing the 320... meaning, new updates and mods seem to fix one thing and break another, etc. So with that said, how complete is the CRJ out of the box as it relates to the FBW?

I have heard it is possible to have gauges pop up and moved around; could someone confirm that this is true, and if so please explain or share how this is accomplished. Thanks in advance.

Not seen this before, but I have a continuing "Checking For Updates"! I've rebooted the PC, started the sim, but it just keeps checking for updates. Anyone else had this? Thanks Martin

Hey guys, my appologies in advance if this should go to another subforum. I would like to download the Plan-G v4 Alpha that should be compatible with Msfs and is available via their forum, but I just dont manage to create an acoount there. You should receive a verification email, but on several tries I never get one - yes also looking in my Spam folder. As i can find no other means of communication with TA Software, I thought I'd try it here. Can anyone point me to a way I can get Plan-G? Or can you recommend a good alternative? I mainly use it for radio-navigation and really like the functionality of VOR radius and bearing lines to various beacon…

Is the same possible in MSFS? I'll go buy FSUIPC just for this if it works. I just don't get it, why is it so incredibly hard to make the trim function linear? Now, if you hold it for two seconds it accelerates like crazy. The only way is to tap it slowly but that's not the right way to do it. On the other hand I need to rotate that altitude knob forever to set 30000 feet. Makes sense.

Well, this is interesting. The fact that he has come out in favor of the CRJ, especially given that he is a type rated CRJ pilot, implies the CRJ for MSFS is very good.
