This may just be me, but I find it sometimes difficult to adjust such things as heading, altitiue, vertical speed using the mouse on the G1000 in the Cessna 172. Basically, while flying along with a bit of turbulence I find the mouse curser tends to "bounce" off the knob while adjusting, the vertical speed one seems particularly fussy with this. Has anyone else experienced this? Are there any keyboard mappings for these? Are there any hardware switch/knob panels I can get to take care of this manually?

Has anyone spent time with the Seminole and its autopilot? Other than the readouts not being quite to spec, I have now run into a logic problem.. The autopilot does not appear to want to go from HDG to APR mode. It indicates APR, but does not follow the localiser. However, if I push NAV, then APR, it wakes up and follows the localiser. This is a bug... since the correct procedure for a GPS ILS approach, is to set the heading bug to the runway heading, fly in NAV mode until turning to final, switch to HDG mode, change the GPS to VLOC mode, verify the HSI needles, and push APR. This does not work in the Seminole... 🙁 I did the same flight in the …

Hi, thought I would post this in case it helps anyone else. I have been experiencing random CTD for the last few months (Sim was previously stable) and I have now solved this. I have been having trouble for a long time with the wifi occasionally dropping out (on my pc not the router) for a couple of seconds (which I am yet to solve), previously this wasn't an issue for MSFS as I would just get a 'lost connection' error and a few seconds later it would re-connect. However, I have found that my CTDs were timed with the wifi dropping out. I have not been getting any error in MSFS as I did before, it was simply resulting in an immediate CTD. I now connect my PC via ether…

Hi all, Can anyone recommend an Xbox controller model that is suitable for PC. Would like to use one for MSFS panning etc. I know little about them, do you recommend Wireless or Wired ? If wired, are they USB ? Thanks in advance.

  9. My latest review is of Drzewiecki Design's Krakow. This add-on features not only the main international airport (Kraków John Paul II, EPKK) but also Kraków-Rakowice-Czyżyny Airport (EPKC) in the city centre and a huge number of hand-modelled buildings and landmarks.

  10. It is pretty obvious from the Asobo twitch data, and from various people testing the latest build who have confirmed the performance increases, that we definitely will have some extra headroom to play with now. I am interested in what others will do with this extra headroom, and some ideas. My setup runs locked at vsync 30 anyway from inside the sim, and is fairly smooth apart from what I believe are scenery loading pauses. However, I have to run 4k at 70% scaling to achieve this. So the first thing I will try is 80% scaling, as I notice even that 10% extra makes the glass cockpits and steam gauges look nice and sharp. 90% scaling may be a bit too much to …

  11. I have a question for all of you regarding moving the eyepoint in the virtual cockpit. As most of you probably know, you can translate the eyepoint left/right, and up/down with the arrow keys. You can also define a key combo to translate the eyepoint forward/backwards - I use Right-Alt Up/Down. But I have observed something: In all but one of the OEM Asobo aircraft, the eyepoint can't be moved outside of the interior of the aircraft (on some planes, this is limited to just the cockpit). The one exception is the Zlin Shock Ultra: the eyepoint can be moved as far away from the plane as you want, even hundreds of feet if you are patient enough to press that arrow key long en…

I had to reinstall MSFS from scratch after an unexpected Windows reset wiped out most of my installed programmes, including Steam. After the marathon to get MSFS back on the PC all my keyboard and joystick settings have reset to default, not a huge issue but more critically my Pilots Log is blank and my accumulated hours have reset to zero. (As an aside I had the same issue with Snowrunner). Do we know if there is any means by which my career to date can be retrieved, or is it gone for good?

Not sure what happened but very frequently now when flying into places like busy KORD or even KRDU a few minutes ago it's become a stutterfest once again. The only change I have made is in troubleshooting why I couldn't get Ghost Recon: Wildlands to load properly, at UBISOFTS troubleshooting suggestion, ran this routine: sfc /scannow, which did find corrupt files and replace them with cached copies successfully. Now when I takeoff, which today was at KBOS, all was super smooth. But by the time I was on final at KRDU it was just a stutterfest. This same thing happened yesterday at KORD when I took off at CYOW w/ very modest settings to cope w/ that payware airport, b…

Hello folks, im sure this has been discussed before. When i fly to a airport and i park my aircraft, what are the procedures in starting your sim up and you are exactly where you left it.Meaning if im in parking slot A3, how do i resume where i left off. I save the game after I landed, and gave it a name. But when I load the sim to start a new flight and load the saved flight, it crashes to desktop. Am I missing something, it would be nice to start where i left off. If I shut the plane down and saved where im at , is there a way to return where you are at. Thanks.......RobertC

Hello, Quick question: During climb the RPM in the Just Flight Arrow is constantly rising. Am i missing something here? After climbout i set RPM to about 2300 and during climb it is rising again until it reaches 2500 at some point and i cant set it to lower except with the throttle lever. Best regards, Tom

Hi, is there a way around of to fueling the dc6? It annoying to this in the tablet since the increments are to small. @pmdg: could you include this in the next update, so we can just put a number into the fuel-field instead of scrolling down (takes to long time)

While I really like snow is an option in MSFS, there is much left to be desired. I found snow to be better in the beginning; the trailer showed some streets to be clear of snow and more realistic snow coverage in mountainous areas. Currently, streets appear to get covered with snow first, making it impossible to discern them at snow coverage from a few cm and up. Mountain tops get this ugly, semi-transparent non-textured layer of snow on top that looks just bad in my view. I hope that they can fix this and - show more variation in street snow coverage (eg city streets and highways clear, countryside smaller streets covered; - snow accumulation and drifting …

Second attempt, second CTD. On the first one I had the Miami Lights MOD installed. Disabled that, but still got CTD. Now I am going to try doing a manual cache of the KMIA area and see if that helps. My thought is that the CTD happened both times when I got to a point where a lot of elements around the airport were starting to load. If this has anything to do with bandwidth issues, I am thinking that with the manual cache the problem won't happen. Trying to isolate the problem...

Since the last up date at least 3 out of 4 flights crash to desk top rendering this sim unflyable - at least for me. The only add on aircraft I have are the PMDG and Aerosoft. It has got to the point I am spending way more time trying to trouble shoot than fly. Since the last update something was introduced to the sim causing this. Once I even got a message during start up that my license was invalid - the sim paused for a minute or three then proceeded with the start up (only to crash again early into another flight). Hope this will get address during the next update.

  25. If you run into: "Customer not authorised" issues, the fix appears to be to shorten your JustFlight password to 10 chars or less. Mine was 11 chars, this password worked in the past, but not this time! JF Support made me run around in circles at first.. 😉
