Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Does anyone know what range the identity labels pop in in sim? And is there a file to adjust the range?

All I ended up with was two seats and cockpit. So what's the remedy, go into files and delete it. (not delete in Content)

Back in the very beginning of February, 2021, I purchased a new PC. The only reason for buying a new PC, because my old one was working fine running P3D, was to move on to MSFS 2020. From FlyTampa, FSDreamteam, to FlightBeam it seems they have gone dark in the last few months concerning FS2020. I've been waiting for KTPA, KMSP, KPHX, and KBOS to name a few and the lag time in bringing their work to FS2020 is all but at a crawl if at all. There's freeware out there daily for smaller fields and the like but our major developers that have been cranking out scenery for years are missing in action for the most part now. I look at the just released KMDW update from a freeware guy and think where the heck it FlyTampa? TNCM would be nice to see from FT as well. I have a throttle controller, so I have no need of the F1-F4 throttle keyboard commands. As such, I have created a custom keyboard map in the control settings that removes the default F1-F4 commands, and applies my own command instead. My problem is that even with the F1 - F4 key bindings removed from my custom settings, the throttle commands still activate when I use the keys. For example, I have F1 set to my desired function. I have verified that my function is the ONLY thing linked to the F1 key with my custom keyboard command setting. But when I select F1, my function does work, but the throttle still cuts to idle. I've been trying to nail the new Iceland landing challenge in the C152 and I'm really struggling with vertical speed at touchdown. I can place the aeroplane within 5 feet of the landing spot if I ignore the force of the touchdown but no matter how I try to flare, it seems like coming in at the usual 60kts over the threshold means I'm carrying too much speed to bleed off quickly. By 500ft on finals I'm aiming to be trimmed for 60kts with 20 degrees of flap. Engine's somewhere between 1200-1400rpm depending on the approach profile - I have no fixed setting because power = rate of descent. Good evening, Yesterday i finally got the Arrow but i am having some trouble with it's behaviour. The elevator has no effect until i pull back the stick almost completely and then suddenly the plane smashes upwards. Same in the opposite direction. Its like pulling againt the autopilot until it kicks out. This basically makes flaring or taking off smoothly impossible. But the AP is disconnected and turned of. Am i missing something here? Any help appreciated! Tom

I have probably 50 or so airports in the Community folder, from around the World. If I load a Flight Plan for, say, Orly to Hamburg, does MSFS load all the Community airports & world wide scenery, or just the material that is relevant to the Flight Plan? I suspect the former as I am finding it is taking longer & longer for a flight to load, after I have added more scenery/airports. There are various programs that let you organize scenery into regions & you can choose a region to load. I tried one very early on after MSFS's release, but it ended up a mess after an MSFS update. I have been with MSFS since its release last August. I only fly the FBW A320. I have just flown from Frankfurt to London, Heathrow. It was perfect, no stutters/freezes and even the ATC behaved themselves! Being a casual flyer the icing on the cake would be (as taken from the Aerosoft Airbus on FSX); the in-cockpit 'TRAFFIC - TRAFFIC' verbal warning when other aircraft get too close. The in-cockpit system that advises on 'Runway approaching, On runway etc'. The First Officer who has a cough, and the female flight attendant who offers me a drink in-flight (it never arrives!) Long may the smooth flights continue.

Can anyone explain to me how AIRAC data and approaches work in MSFS compared to Navigraph please? I'd prefer to stick with the stock data but I don't understand how it's missing so many approaches when its been updated to 2106 lately in WU6. Am I missing something? Apparently my system can't handle Chicago O'hare. When it loads up I pretty much lose control of my PC in an agonizing slideshow. When everything gets loaded up I manage to get 10fps. Is it my system or is this common? I have an I7 10700 with a 2070 GPU. I'm running 1080 with most stuff on High. In rural areas I'm getting over 50 FPS. Thanks for responses.

Are there any good step by step tutorials for how to fly from point a to point b using these aircraft?

This aircraft for me is all about being the Captain, nothing else. I use the guy in the middle seat to do what he is paid to do. 🙂 So why do I enjoy it so much? I love starting the engines there never sure to fire. Apart from everything about it the highlights are. Takeoff Rotate at v2, well not really rotate the smallest amount possable, let her float of the ground, then fly her at 130kts keep her there to 500ft, then pitch for 140KTS, then after climb power is set pitch for 165kts. Get that perfect and I do this 🙂 Plan and work out when to discend level out 20 miles from the ILS. Now I love all this..... Get speed down to 175 kts to dr…

Hello all, With their usual remarkable efficiency and absolute consistency, MSFS have posted yet another flawed update. Yesterday I had some lovely flights in the G37 Turbo and both the DA62 and the DA62x. This morning I was greeted with an update which I downloaded and installed. My first flight G36 Turbo out of YBCS and my MFD/PFD is black. I tried the da62x ... it has no disappeared from my list of aircraft. Thanks guys. I tried the DA62 and got the same black MFD and PFD. I have PMDG DC6 and Stearman from dcdesigns, among some others So, these two aircrafts appear to be parked at Flight Simulator airports (for instance, LEVC Manises, Valencia, Spain). How is that? Did you noticed it?
