Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi folks, For a week or so I have a problem with the dev version of the FBW A320. Throttle travel now covers the entire throttle movement, including Reverse. When I install the stable version, the throttle stops as it should, at zero, and when I want to use the Rev, I normally use the two Thrust Reversers to unlock it. Any idea?

Interesting! This arrived without a splash today. I spotted it over at Orbx while I was considering a few sales purchases. Looks like it has been released just today. It seems Just Flight and Aerosoft might be selling it as well. A bit expensive, but it looks good and covers the whole country. Tens of thousands of objects. when using the glass either 1000/3000/G3x I want to turn on a/p and alt to hold my altitude but I want to manually control bank. I can't seem to find a way. It seems my only options are lvl or hdg and then I have to use the heading knob to adjust my turning. I want alt only, nothing else. Is this possible? If so, how?

I am in the process of buying a new PC (still going to keep current PC). I did have MSFS up on my current PC but took it down after many issues started cropping up. The issue appears to be related to my Xbox and Xbox membership. After trying all tricks I could muster and keeping an eye on this forum and many re downloads from the MS store I got nowhere so I uninstalled MSFS and have continued to use Prep3D for my flight sim satisfaction. I am in the process of buying a new PC and was thinking about installing the Steam version of MSFS which apparently does not (as far as I know) have the Xbox issues of the MS version. I would love to see some scenery guru do the Salzburg Airport and in particular, Hanger number 7, home of the Red Bulls flying airforce (dc6).

When I select a departure / arrival location on the map, or look up airport info using the in-aircraft systems, it never gives me the elevation. Do others see the same? Did Asobo decide this was information no one needed?

When flying low and slow VFR, the scenery in this sim is in most areas way too bright green, it makes anywhere in world that has vegetation appear like a cartoon version of someones idea of what they think Ireland must look like in mid-summer. Anyone know a way to tone this down to more realistic levels?

Had to reinstall the Working Title CJ4 and having all sorts of problems. Started flight from runway and engines should be running, and they are not. Menu ADV and Data knob not working. Navigraph says "Linked" in CDU "MOD" and and charts not showing up in CDU Working Title CJ4 is version 0.12.1 Anyone else having problems with this. With all the recent great high rez third party terrain mesh appearing, I was just wondering: if there are two pieces pieces of terrain mesh with different resolutions (DEM) for the same area, how does MSFS choose which mesh to display? For FSX and P3D, as I understand, the terrain mesh with the highest resolution would be displayed, regardless of how the two pieces were ordered in the Scenery Library (although I'm not certain what would happen if either or both were outboard .xml add ons). Does MSFS work the same way? Or is it just that terrain mesh in the Community folder will overwrite terrain mesh in the Official folder, or with two pieces of terrain mesh in…

I'm about to do the tutorial for the JF Piper Arrow, on page 46 of the manual it shows the route on the MSFS map with winds in Knots and distance in NM. As this is in the UK I have selected MSFS in Options to HYBRID to get pressure in mb, but mine is showing wind as Km/h and distance as km. Unless Just Flight are using the US system what am I doing wrong, have I missed a setting somewhere. Hybrid should surely quote wind speed in knots and distance in nautical miles ??

Hello, My fav plane to fly is the Caravan specially cargo ops. However as you all know the version in the sim is passenger only with windows in the cabin. How could one blank the windows? Can it be done with graphics software or would it need Blender etc? Im guessing a 3D app will be needed as the windows seem baked into a 3D model and not just a simple livery wrapped around the model like FSX. Thanks for any ideas. I am really getting the AirManager working well with the PMDG DC6. Not even a year old and we already have so much working perfectly. Air Manger and Navigraph, and now PMDG. Life is good. I now have all the gauges you see on my lower screen working, and the FS2020 views in the upper 3. It is very nice to do the startup procedure w/o having to switch views, all the fuel flows/temps/pressures etc show on the lower screen. So you can be enjoying the view out the windscreens or even drone cam views of the plane and have all the instruments in view at the same time, it feels like you are really in the plane and then some. Hi, unfortunately I my logbook has not logged my flights. I have just found out that this is due to the developer mode that had been active all the time. I have more than 120 hours. Is there a way to bring these into the logbook?

I started trying Live Traffic 2 days ago, and I have yet to see any aircraft around major airports. Does it actually work?

I have a full set of Saitek controllers. The yoke, the pro pedals, the thottle levers, a trim wheel, and a multi switch panel. I can find absolutely no instructions on how to set nor change controller settings. So I'm winging it. The trim wheel shows in the list at the top of the screen as "proflight cessna trim wheel", the page is blank and there is not photo on the right side. I start clicking on stuff and have no frigging idea how to make the trim wheel work. I'm sure there has to be a way, but darned if I can figure it out. Anybody out there able to point me in the correct direction? Bryan

Good morning, I'm pretty sure this has been asked before but since i haven't heard or read anything further about it, i'm asking. Has there been anything said dev wise if MSFS will properly simulate humid air at some point? At the moment it's just visibility from horizon to horizon (except fog, rain etc.) and i don't get a feel of humid air or smog and such. For example i am looking out my window, it's clear sky, no clouds but we have very humid air and visibility is only around 7 Km. I am really missing that in the sim. Best regards, Tom
