Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I am really looking forward to Aerosoft's Twin Otter, but I was wondering if anyone is working on the DHC-3 Otter, Turbine Otter and/or the Beaver?

There are 2 different versions of this airport. Does anyone know which is the better one?

Was fine yesterday. I am unable to get beyond the screen seen below. At that point it just quits to desktop! I have repeatedly logged out and back in at xbox and attempted to login at flightsimulator.com. No joy! I have also followed the Youtube tutorial regarding Gaming Services posted here in another topic two or three days ago. I also restored my system to a three-day old Windows restore point. The only somewhat strange issue I see is logging in at the flightsimulator.com site. I love plane spotting and I use to do this in FSX/P3D. It was possible to switch the camera to any AI plane and watch them take off, land, taxi, etc. This is a refreshing way just to simply take a break from flying and relax while taking in the beautiful surroundings and scenery. Which I would love to be able to do in MSFS, thanks to the amazing visuals. With that being said, is there any way you could switch any of your cameras (external, internal, etc) to attach to an AI plane in MSFS? I would hope so, because once AIG releases their official AI package, I would love to be able to watch various AI planes during approaches and takeoffs.

In P3D, I could fix the odd gauge, and sometimes share my fixes in the forum.. In MSFS, I cannot locate the gauges at all, let alone fix them.. Edit: Have just found out they are DRM protected and packaged in "fsarchive" files... end of hunt 😉

I just did a quick test with nVidia DSR Factors , changed the resolution to 8k, for MSFS 2020 Specs : I7 9700K@5,1 GHz, RTX 3090, 32 GB DDR4 Attached a screenshot with the graphics settings https://postimg.cc/87yXxkxg The average fps was 30, it's hard to believe. I was expecting 12-15 fps. How genuine is this DSR Factors resolution ?

I just recently ordered a DisplayPort cord to replace my old HDMI that I have been using which should allow HDR and G-Sync capabilities of my graphics card. Is there any benefit in running G-Sync with an older monitor that doesn't support G-Sync? Its a 43" Samsung that is about 3-4 years old.

I haven't flown in a few months and returned recently. I seem to remember that planes flew very differently than the current state of the game. It was much harder to land and control planes. Sure there have been many patches. I am no pilot myself. My question is this: which is more realistic, the current state of the sim, or the way it was when released if you remember?

Last night I flew the DC6 from ESPA to EFPO in Finland. I landed on Rwy 12 and taxied to the parking area down this narrow taxiway. Looking to the left I saw a tree lined narrow dirt road, going off into the woods. There were flowering trees mixed in with regular trees courtesy of the four seasons add on. The look of this default airport was excellent. I make it a habit, and have for years flying for my VA, of landing at a different airport about 95% of the time. MSFS 2020 makes this really fun because each airport is so unique.

All of a sudden when I click on the Marketplace all I get is a large fuzzy picture of an aircraft with "Coming Soon" down in the left hand corner. I had a small Win10 update yesterday, but everything else seems OK in that I can load a saved flight ,and the controllers seem to be working. I tried switching MS servers, but that didn't help. Hi All I am struggling with keeping my TBM on centreline after touch down. As soon as the aircraft touches the runway it veers to the left and then as I apply right rudder it veers the other way and I use up most of the pavement before I finally get the thing back on centreline I have checked my Pedal sensitivity for the rudder but hasn't cured it Sensitivity + 50% / -50% Deadzone 10% Any tips welcomed please

Hi, Can anyone help with an MSFS2020 problem ? I havew been trying to add free-ware aircraft to MSS2020. These aircraft come from Flightsim.to (which has loads of MSFS2020 add-ons and I have installed lots of UK scenery from them which all works perfectly. But nI have never been able to get any of their aircraft to actually appear in my ‘Hanger’. After download and unzipping I put the main aircraft folder into then MSFS2020 Community folder just like all the add-on scenery. The aircraft never show in the MSFS Hanger screen. I have even tried putting them into the MSFS2020Sim Objects folder. Still no show. I even tried changing the aircraft name by adding ‘Aso…

Seems some of the old issues still plague this sim. After getting my install back up to speed, thought I would do a quick flight in the 103 from Sywell over to Brize Norton. Had to save and resume later on approach. All was going well until suddenly without warning the nose dipped left and the aircraft spiralled uncontrollably into the ground. I was well above stall speed, weather was calm with no wind, no sudden controller movements etc. I know this was a frequent issue in the early days of the sim, so is it that or just a bug with the 103?

I dont know why i like this airport..... But i do. The last iteration was from aerosoft i believe for P3d. Whish there was a new version for MSFS 🙂

Never had this before but now when I advance the Honeycomb throttle on any plane CTD. The only thing that changed was I upgraded to the 6/22 release of the Nvidia drivers. I have a 1080 and never had crash?? Any one else?

Hi, just wonder, I have MSFS installed on my "normal" harddrive today... Its ok, but will I gain better preformance, and better fps/smoother "simming" and less stutter if I reinstall MSFS into my DDS drive? Love Buspelle

I know it's early, and we're still debating inner Space, up to the limits of the Troposphere, but it would be cool if someday ASOBO allowed for Outer Space flights. Orbital Flights, maybe travelling to the Moon and other planets - say Mars for a start. There's another sim which included Mars until one of it's old versions (just made the same suggestion at their forums...). Also the representation of satellite constellations would be cool 🙂

This is great the 430 now works in AirManager and Knobster controls it just like the rest of the instruments and radios, so much easier than tuning with a mouse. I am not sure if it was the pms50-gns530 mod or if it was the latest update. I did not see anything in the notes about pop out, so I think it may be the mod that makes it work. Below is a photo of my AirManager screen with all the working instruments and radios.
