Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I wonder if user tools exist to resolve and fix overlapping scenery items in MSFS. Example: "Vancouver Bridges" replaces the bridges with handcrafted models.. very nice! "Vancouver City" comes along, it also includes the bridges, but Lions Gate bridge is incomplete, cut off at the north end. If I enable both packages, the bridge is completed, but at the expense of some overlapping items.. Ideally, I would like to remove/exclude the bridges from the City scenery, but I have no idea if that is possible without involving the original authors, who are not responding to my comments (at least at present..). Anyone know?

Hi, I am flying with the AFE and am at cruise but the aircraft doesn't speed up, it stuck at 271 kt. GS. I deactivated AFE Cruise Mode and pushed the throttle full forward.

Its weird to explain but my sim has these weird micro stutters all of a sudden and its really annoying. I run a modest i7 4790k, 1070 and 16GB. Sliders set to med/low with clouds on high. I've removed reinstalled video drivers, removed all content from community fiddled with vsync on/off, used Nvidia inspector to tweak some stuff but nothing seems to work. Before this drop off in performance I was suffering random CTD as well after a relative period of stability with decent performance. My FPS is actually ok and I can run 30 most of the time, if I turn VSYNC off it can be in 40s 50s depending on aircraft location etc. Any ideas?

Don't know if this has been discussed or if I missed something, but I went to fly the 748 today after not having touched it for awhile. Downloaded the latest Mr. Salty mod and loaded it up. Went well but found I was looking at the panels and out the windows through the pilots skull and now had a co-pilot as well, so how to get rid of them? Mike

Look out left in PIC seat why do things stutter? It rarely does when looking forward. It ruins the whole experience?

About 2h into my flight from Amsterdam to Heraklion (Crete) out of a sudden a LiveKernelEvent 141. that caused an App Crash in MSFS. It was supposed to be my first 3+h flight with my complete home cockpit running in Wideview. I do have to add that it was at least 28-30 degrees Celcius ( 82-85 F ) in the room with all doors/windows open. It is a warm sunny day. I can see the humor of this : it happened over the Mediterranean along the coast of Italy to the south, so enough water below me to cool down. Well sometimes it is to warm for a home cockpit with 3 pc's and 7 displays...😥

I have noticed when I flying the M20R Ovation and the PA44 Seminole, both Carenado a/c, that when adjusting the throttle, particularly when preparing to land, the engine rprm suddenly and erratically jumps to a very high level. (It only happens with the left engine with the Seminole.) It happens just about every time I touch the throttle and makes it very difficult to put the a/c into the right speed to land. This is very irritating and I am sure it is not representative of the real world. In real life I have only flown the Piper PA 28 warrior (two different training aircraft), and it certainly did not happen with them. Has anyone else noticed this. By the way, it i…

For those interested who will be flying on an Xbox Series X|S, the full 97GB download is now available to pre-load. Still not playable until the 27th, but at least you can get it downloaded in advance. I'm getting this going so my kids and I can use it as well as my PC. Should be fun for casual flying. I was wondering if I should enable this feature in my BIOS and GPU. Does MSFS benefit from this?

Morning All Probably a dumb question but when one sets custom weather parameters in the sim - so for example a 200ft cloud base - does that weather then apply to departure, en route and arrival locations ? Is it possible to set that cloud base just for my destination? Thanks

So I have recently had an issue the past couple weeks where my entire MSFS screen in flight, gets blurry. Not the ground textures, but like the entire screen looks slightly out of focus and it goes back and forth every few seconds. I will have nice crisp screen for 5 seconds then the blurry look for a second and back. Turned dev mode on, no FPS loss so its not like a stutter. Any thoughts? 5800x, 32gb ram, rtx 2070 super. 4k with 80% render scaling. Most options on high with a couple of ultra. Consistent 45+fps just the weird off/on bluriness.

Can anyone tell me how to get the “2 modern” glass aviation panels to display in Aeroplane Heavens Cessna140? I can get a single Garmin panel -Garmin 430X I think-but not the two modern glass panel ones as displayed in the sales pictures xxd09

I really want to like MSFS but after every update I seem to have more issues, yes I empty my Community folder, if I fly out of Lake Havasu I get half the desert showing correctly and then half this ugly light fake green color. In addition, I cant seem to get live weather to work or ever display the weather properly here in the US, we are having Thunderstorms which happens maybe 10 times a year and I have live weather that says I will get thunderstorms and then I have a few clouds here and there but clear skis. Any help is appreciated, I have a screen shot but cant figure out how to add it. Thanks in advance you guys have always been great. Shayne.

this is by no means a jab at folks struggling with the 320, I am still learning more about it daily and its a joy to fly. Here is a very shallow guide on how I go about not crashing the 320 neo, its default so it should cover all bases minus a few extra clicks in the modded version. Also, please realize being a casual guide, it will clearly not follow real world operations, its more so to stabilize a few folks having issues with using the bird and allow them to learn more in depth once they get the grips of it all.

This WU update in combined with the Xbox release is this really the deal of up to 70 percent increase of performance? Is this calculated with another 1 or maybe 2 million new users on Xbox ? ? Maybe we just now want to explore MSFS before the xbox series degrade the performance because of more users. Michael Moe

Two questions: 1. This is an old joystick that I used with FS2002 and FS2004, more suitable for flying an airbus. Can I use this with MSFS? 2. The connection from the joystick is not available on my motherboard. Is there a cable with an USB adapter so that I can plug and use it?

The heavy smoke in North America is reaching upper altitudes. Is the weather engine depicting this? Has anybody noticed anything?

The first test with 2x MSFS Premium de Luxe on 2 pc’s. This time done by hand but in the coming days I will modify the aircraft’s VC camera view so it will be correct at startup. As you can see near the left front window bar the frontview is stretched (NVSURROUND) and has no fisheye correction at this moment. Asobo will solve this end 2021, beginning 2022.

Do we know from today which developers are reliable on putting their updates into the marketplace for there products and with whose I have headache?

Hi All I am struggling to read the instruments on the MFD/PFD equipped aircraft. I have Nvidia GTX1070Ti with i7-8700k @ 3.7Ghz and 32GB RAM. The screen is a Samsung Odyssey G7 native at 2560x1440. Refresh rate at 144Hz. I wonder if anyone could help me optimise my graphic settings to make the instruments as clear as my system will allow please? many thanks
